What's Your Biggest Beef With Vaping Companies?

I'm talking about off the rack merchandise; beginners and novice stuff.

• Mine would be lack of product education for newbies;
• Leaking tanks;
• No way to taste juices without buying;
• General ease of use (an analog is easy to use);

Brass, fixed pin connectors.

-Kanger products seem to just be pushed onto the market to be in the market regardless of quality
-Fixed 510 connectors
-The market as a whole moves so fast that it seems quality lacks because of it

Bogus air-flow-control systems.

Take the Protank. That little positive pin in the bottom of the coil head. All air must pass through that tiny hole. So an AFC with bigger holes is ... useless, unless you want to dial it down. Most want to dial it up.

Or my new kayfun EHPro with, not one, but TWO air flow control holes, with screws. Yet the center post through which the air must pass is barely the diameter of one of these holes, so the other AFC hole is ... useless.

Don't get this. It's simple physics. If you're sucking air through a hole, the diameter of the last hole, the one closest to your lips, should be the biggest, and the AFC system should be made to vary that air flow by constricting the opening further down the line.

It also feels sometimes that no one at the company ever tries their product before selling it.

Complain loud enough and somebody may step in to "solve" your problems and "do you a favor" through regulation.

I tend to not do business with unresponsive companies.

Poor customer service. Products that are defective, and they won't let you return them, or won't even communicate. Its happened to me 3x now.

Dud atties from one supplier. Refused to answer correspondence, nor my negative review here.

Defective atty from another. Can't return because I used it, but no way to know it was defective without using.

Wraps and cupholders that had defects or didn't fit. Stopped addressing problems 8 days ago.

I don't buy much online anymore for exactly the reasons you listed. It's easier to do business locally.

Quantity over quality. QC is non existent. Also, inflated battery specs.

Cheap .... 4 dollar ce4`s (4ohm!) that turn the new vapor off and waist their money.

Lack of QC in the replaceable coil market (BCC ect). They`ll make a good coil only until they have established a good market, then the QC goes to hell.

Not being able to buy just the bottom hardware for my Nautilus ... instead, I have to buy an entire unit ... even tho I don't NEED an entire unit! Yet the replacement glass tanks are for sale. ...?

Any of these things that will bend in my pocket. I have had the same pocket knife for almost a decade and done much owrse to it and it is still straight true and sharp. DOnt try that with just about any tank. Where do they find this crap metal? it is like they recycled a pinto.

and really anyone paying more than 75 for a tube style mech ought to be slapped. Your are screwing this up for everyone. There are obviously a few genuine fine pieces of workmanship that warrant a higher price but most of this is just stupid consumerism. We in the vaping community are our own worst enemy. Even I am guilty. I have recommended a nautilus mini to others on numerous occasions. Even though I ultimately ended up hating mine. It has yet another coil in it right now that tastes like a burnt hunk of insulation. Why do i do this because they are easy, and I don't really want to show that guy i don't like how to coil and wick a fogger.
