I knew I could make it work after seeing how much vapor my brother-in-law could make with his Winder & an EVOD tank. I had tried e-cigs "njoy with the tiny little plastic vials" 4 years ago and it was a complete waste of $100 but I knew that the idea was a good one--the tech nor the flavors were out there. I just wanted something to do while driving 6-7 hours every day in the company truck rather than chain-smoke. I didn't intend to give up my after meal or drinking time smokes. The day I bought my starter setup, I also bought 2 packs of my favorite smokes. I went on a cruise 2 weeks later and still had an unopened pack when I got on and off the boat. I didn't want them enough while drinking to go fish them out of my suitcase. About a week after that, I got laid off unexpectedly and smoked 2 out of that previously unopened pack but haven't touched another one since and don't miss them at all. That was August 15th.

I was a RYO for 40 years a chain smoker. 25-30gr/day. I rolled 7 cigarettes to go to try e-cigs To smoke on the way. I could try 3 inhales and went back with my fake ego and cex.(and 7 cigarettes) I could only smoke 3 of them when I was sold a fake liquid and they were lousy. went and bought a genuine liquid and that was all.

I actually tried 3 seperate time with vaping. Each time I would quit for months and go back.
So i figured, i know myself better than anyone..right? So i know how cheap I can be...right?

Throw EVERYTHING i used to roll cigarettes away...or give it away..and i mean EVERYTHING. to start rolling cigarettes again would cost about 130-140 for the machine I had and the tubes/tobacco ect. I ordered a big order from MV and used my ego in the meantime. Best.decision.ever. Girlfriend loves it even though she accepted the fact that i smoked (been wtih her for over 2 years so by now i'd hope so) and by accept it, i mean, she would nag me but wouldn't make a scene if i smoked..if you know what I mean.

I ordered a LOT of juice. That was the key...I knew i liked vaping from prior experiences..so i ordered a decent amount of juice to last a long time. It's a great feeling to not have that crutch that is smoking cigarettes(I hate the word 'stinky' sounds like I am 5..sorry guys!)and it is SO NICE to not have to clean my car interior ever week..and even better because I had just purchased a new wardrobe when i quit so no smell!

It took me to quit the last time around, a little over a month and a half of weening down.
-started at 2 pad
-went to 1 1/2 pad
-1 pad
-1/2 pad
-3 cigarettes a day
- 1 a day
- none a day :)

I got my first Ego clone in October, 2013. After being a 1 1/2 PID smoker of RYO analogs, using PIPE TOBACCO, I immediately reduced my stinky use to about 5 or 6 a day, smoking only when my batt was being charged. I gradually tapered off I had my last analog on 11/14/13, and haven't had a stinky since.
This was the best decision I made in my life, switching from cigs to vaping.

My mom picked up her first vape and put down the cigarettes the same day. Per her, that was the last time she ever thought about a cigarette, now she works with her vape.

I had more trouble than most people seem to, and it took me three months to make the full switch, although I'd gotten most of the way there in 2 months. Still, it's not a transition I ever want to make again as it involved WTA liquids, the occasional severe craving blind-siding me, and having to go to 22 mg/ml nicotine to get through.

Now, fourteen months later, I rarely think about a cigarette although I do occasionally get a slight craving. It's nothing intolerable, really quite easy to sweep aside, but still a bit annoying.

So we all differ.

At what point in your vaping experience did you realize that you would be able to quit using analog cigarettes and strictly use vaporizers? For me it was the same day.
on the first pull of an over priced ego and ce4 of chocolate tobacco. check my signature to see how long its been going great. I was PAD for over 20 years. PS Canadian PAD is 25 analogs

I am happy to say that I bought my first kit (old faithful right beside me) with the money I was planning to buy a carton of cigs with. I had three left and told myself that when they were gone that would be it! Took three days to smoke those three after 2+ PPD for 35+ years. Now I can't even stand the smell after only a month. I am sure if I lit one today it would taste as bad as it smells to me! I had to detail my truck after three days because it stunk to me too! I feel better, my mind is clearer and god does food taste so much better (have to watch out for that one). There is no magic time frame or sequence as we are all individuals. One thing I will say is that if you really WANT to quit. Day one will be your last analog! :headbang:

After 46 years of smoking 1 pack a day or more I started vaping on November 25, 2013. So been vaping just over 1 month and stopped analogs the day I started vaping.
I still crave an analog occasionally but have increased the nic content in my juice and it seems to help a lot. This forum has helped improve my vaping experience by providing pertinent how to information, support for quitting analogs and guidance enabling me to purchase vaping supplies that meet my needs. I've saved a lot of money because I've been able to learn what components are needed to meet my vaping needs.

Thank you ECF and ECF members.
