I've using e-cigs now for 2 years now, and unfortunately they don't fulfill all my cravings. I'm not giving up, and they are a helping, but the frustration can wear me thin.
Have you tried supplementing with Swedish snus?

There is a small percentage of people who seem to need other things that are in tobacco besides the nicotine.
Many of those people, who have found electronic cigarettes to not be enough, have found success after adding snus to the mix.

There is, of course, a subforum here somewhere all about that subject.

Thanks, DC2. Oh yeah, I'm quite familiar with swedish snus. I used to post in the smokeless tobacco subforum quite a bit. And I've used nasal snuff, Stonewall, pipes, cigars, and every other alternative to cigarettes you can think of. But I do appreciate you pointing it out.

The sad thing about this poll is that I think once a lot of people find their grove with the e-cig and the suppliers they like they don't come here as often, so the year and 2 year numbers wont' be as high as they should be. I know that I have been absent from the forums for about 10 months other than popping in now and then. I'm glad I came back in time for this poll, it felt really good to be able to say I switched a year and 9 months ago. I'm glad to see you're still here and fighting the good fight Vocalek!

Yup, Moonflame, still here, and occasionally down there in Bedford County as well. You make a good point about some of the veterans dropping out of ECF. The thing is, if we don't all band together to fight the bans, things could get very, vary unhealthy for us. So I'm hoping you will stick around and check out the News and the Campaigning sections. They've done a bit of moving the furniture around and redecorating here.

Vocalek,

I realize this suggestion I'm going to make would have offered better results had it been implemented at the forum forefront, but......

Have you considering approaching the ECF Admin and discussing the possibility of adding a member profile option that can be displayed under the avatar area's "posts" count line as a badge showing an entered "QUIT DATE" (or just "N/A" or "Not Entered" should they decide to not provide it), and to write the selection into code allowing the information/data to be extracted to either show a running count of how many quit somewhere on the front page as a counter, or to at least be able to pull a current updated report at any given time for those looking for that data ?

Perhaps selective options more tailored to the type of information being sought ?

Just a suggestion...... but I'm confident that something could be done on the forum's end easily enough to both aid organizations with "quick glance" or retrievable data (scientific or not), while at the same time offering the ECF themselves some bragging rights to member based successes.

VapeOn,
Greg

I'm still around ;-) (well, sometimes that is, and only in a few select places on the forum, it's grown so huge  !) ...

Next month will mark three years (!) completely off the tobacco for me, what a wonderful feeling  ! Thanks to 'the powers that be' for the E-cig, they quite literally saved my life !!

Great poll Vocalek, good on ya' :thumb: !

Cheers,
Silver
