I was going to get a 30W FT hana clone for $56 shipped with an 18650, but it said 45-60 days shipping for battery items or pay 80 cents more but says it still might take like 3 weeks. I was going to ask FT to remove the battery to ship asap, but it takes like a week for them to get back on messages and then probably another week to adjust the special order to pull the battery. My Smoktech Groove V2 just broke and I have no mod and smoking cigarettes (horrible). Remind me never to buy a smok mod...

I', considering the IPV1 (not IPV2 because I don't think I'll even need IPV1's 30W because I never high-watt or sub ohm vaped yet). But the ipv fire sensor concerns me. Does it at least have an auto-off after like 8 seconds? How sensitive is it, like has anyone had it give them problems firing in their pocket etc? Or do I have to lock out the mod between vaping? Shouldn't they have just left this out and sold it for $6 less and give the $6 higher price option to have a sensor? It's like putting a touch sensor on a pistol.

Or I might get the cloupor cana since it doesn't have an auto sensor and is like $20 less than the IPV. I read the latest cana version shouldn't give me any problems. But how do I know I'm getting the latest version? I'd like to get it off ebay since it's probably the lowest price and no searching for coupon codes and get it fast etc but I have a feeling the ebay ones might be the older versions. What about warranty if I get a cana off ebay? the IPV has a booklet in the box with the warranty info, so getting an IPV1 off ebay won't cause any warranty problems should I need it. Thanks.

Wow, lots of questions , where to start. First off, the FT versions are averaging well under 12 days for some people who very recently ordered the DNA clones , check that thread for info .

Secondly the iPV 35 watt has a non functional touch sensor which i wanted , it won't ever come on lol , excellent device by the way , mine works fantastic. Any reputable vendor should be selling the latest Cana but your right about warranty , it's not nearly as long as the other two but most who buy these seem to not care much about warranty since you can easily replace the chip yourself if it comes down to it .

I might get an IPV1. Yes, the touch sensor CAN be disabled AND it only fires when out of sleep mode. I didn't think so because of a review video someone said he was pretty sure it couldn't be turned off and was ranting about a company in the same/other video about how he's certified in 25 electrical engineering things or something like that and how he felt his intelligence was insulted by an instruction booklet or something like that.

I might rather pay the extra $25-$45 for the IPV vs a FT hana or cloupor cana which might be the old faulty version and might break in like 5 days and might be a bit more work getting the warranty whereas the IPV has the warranty card in the package. edit: The IPV warranty isn't valid with third-party purchase (ebay), but depending on the seller if they're a reseller it may be possible.

I actually got a cloupor 'updated version' off ebay with 18650 (probably cheap) for $75 shipped. And it's real close so I should receive it in a couple days. But I'll sell it in about a month for something better because I want to wait for all the reviews and bugs to be sorted out with the new 100W mods, the seigeli and the IPV3 etc, not that I'll ever probably need 100W, but more for the dual 18650 life, upgradeable firmware via usb and I'm sort of partial to the seigeli's look and don't want to worry about having to deactivate the IPV3's touch sensor. But USB upgrading the IPV3 to 120W and possibly 150W plus a full year warranty for the IPV3 Vs IDK what seigili's warranty or upgradeability is.

I guess this is it for vaping, as for what a mod can do, built in charger with replaceable battery, USB upgradeable chips, 150W way over kill for most vapers,
point1 sub ohm, what's next, negative ohm vaping? But they will probably remake all these mods in 4 months with mini USB that chargers 1/2 the time as micro USB.

Man , your all over the place lol. In your first post you said this :

I', considering the IPV1 (not IPV2 because I don't think I'll even need IPV1's 30W

Forget about the touch sensor being an issue , it's not . You seem to be confused about what you need , you first say 30 watts is all you will ever need and then say a 100 watt chip which is upgradable to 150 is what you will probably buy .

If you don't see yourself even needing 30 watts what are you doing looking at 100+ watts ? A single 18650 last a long long time vaping well under 30 watts , seems your just rehashing what other peoples preferences are and fitting them to yourself , like not needing 100 watts but they want the battery life of dual 18650's ,

If you don't know what you want and just go on what others say your going to end up being disappointed , i went with a 35 watt because thats how i vape and i couldn't be happier , figure out what your individual preferences are , not what others preferences are.

And no , 100 watts is certainly not "it" for vaping , there will be more powerful mods coming out.

The touch sensor on the IPV1 doesn't work at all. You can't use it, even if you wanted to.

herb, I said I don't think I'll need 30W, not that I know I won't. The 100W-120W (and possibly 150W ipv3) are almost the same price as the IPV2, and can upgrade the chip USB to possibly fix problems, plus it would sell easier used if I get something different later. And I don't have to worry if I miss a night charging dual 18650 vs a single.

Fundamental Vaping Rule #1(for me at least): Always have more than one complete vaping setup available. Even if it's a cheap $5 ego, anything to keep you off the cigarettes.

yup, never again. In the past, I smoked a few cigs for a few days until my new mod arrived (domestically). But this time there were so many choices that I'm holding out for the 100W-150W dual 18650 mods. I ordered something in-state yesterday that should be here in a couple days too. I ended up getting an ego twist w/ charger for like $45 today at a B&M because the cigarettes are that bad. Gotta respect and support the B&M though despite prices since they're great for beginners to have someone in person show them the ropes and some people just rather not wait for mail or test juice before buying or just lounge vaping. I don't even enjoy smoking like vaping. Vaping is such a win win, safer and more satisfying. But I do smoke an occasional cig with functioning vape gear, like one every 3 weeks or something, just need one sometimes.

Fasttech just started selling the DNA30 without the battery in it. It is $49. You will be able to get normal shipping on that one. You should try again.
