A friend of mine bought a smokingeverywhere to show all his smoking friends. He let us each use a cartridge and it wasn't all that bad. But he bought into their nonsense that it was the best on the market and the carts last 20 cigs.
I did some internet research and found this board, THANK YOU!

Now a proud owner of a dse901 from puresmoker!

I was searching for smokeless ashtrays, and somehow stumbled across a site for an electronic cigarette. For the life of me, I can't remember the name of the particular brand.

Of course, I had never heard of an electronic cigarette, but decided it was interesting, so I dug a bit deeper. The thing that sold me on the idea was Leaford's video review of 5 different types of e-cigs. Holy moly, I couldn't believe it . . . those things were actually putting out tons of vapor!

The funniest thing (well, at least to me) is when I heard that Leaford learned about e-cigs when he was searching for information on smokeless ashtrays. It appears that I'm not alone. :)

I read about the electronic cigarette in a tech report on CNN about a year ago....Ordered a super mini for myself from a english company and started to use it...within 3 days i was using it regularly, put the charger next to my cell phone charger and it just turned into a normal routine to charge the batteries . 2 weeks went by and i started to cough up little crap and I got nervous so i did a little homework and it turns out that your lungs try to clear all that crap out when you quit smoking and thats what was happening to me....so after that whole ordeal i became more active and just felt better about myself.....I can honestly say that I think the e-cig saved me life.....But thats just my opinion.

saw a vendor at the wisconsin state fair with one and when I asked him about it, he said he had picked it up in taiwan when attending one of the many trade shows there. At the time they were only available from overseas and when googling to try to find out more, I had zero luck.

stumbled across a post on slickdeals.net about 'em and another person on the thread mentioned this place, so here I am :)

I voted TV. I saw it on a show called The Doctors as an alternative and thought it was interesting. Did some research found this forum and before I could come back and read more I couldn't get back in. Bought a mini on ebay, and liked it. Tried everyday to get back here and read some more. I ended up buying a 901 from ebay. Here I am. I am now thinking about a usb passthrough and battery pack! (my husband thought it might be cheaper, ha)

I first heard about them on a South West TV news program, last July. They interviewed people "smoking" them in a pub in Devon (or it could have been Somerset) I just thought, wow I must find out more about them. I googled them & a few days later I bought my first e-cig from Pillbox :)

I was looking for a NRT had to quit analogs or my doctors were going to kill because they would not look for anything but copd. I found a ad for the e-cig and ordered one. Got my first one in the hospial for copd.

Had two cornary arterys that had vasculitis. the inflamtion from the vascultis had already ruined my aorta in my lower abdoman had it fix feb 2006. One was 100% and the other 80% and they were treating me for copd. Smoking dos not cause vasculitis.

Smoking may not kill you but your doctor may kill you because you smoke.

A client who is also a heavy smoker told me about it and said I may like it. He sent me to these boards and I researched for almost a week before I couldn't take it anymore and got my first e-cig from PureSmoker.com (just in time for my birthday) and I have been smoke-free (with the exception of the 3 or 4 I have had at work because the e-cig was not appropriate for the situation). I am happy to say I am not one of those ....... ex-smokers who hates smokers :)

I do remember last October seeing an e-cig in an independent gadget shop in Gunwharf Quays, for about £60 and I thought that was daft. Expensive light up inhaler. I didnt know the full story of course.

Then in December I was in a pub meeting with members of the model helicopter club I am in, and the chairman started smoking. I was amazed with the UK smoking ban, then he showed me how it was an e-cig he got on fleabay. I had a go and later at home looked some info up. Watched some youtube vids, looked at fleabay, found loads of models available.

Not wanting to buy a turkey, I googled 'electronic cigarette review' and this forum popped up.

Bought my first, a super 10cm from TECC and more recently a 901 platinum for Pillbox. Got into buying blank carts and bottles of juice.

Spent a long time using bothe the e-cig and analogs, but now I am off the analogs. :D

I saw them at a Mall (smokingeverywhere) and seemed very impressed, but my husband (a non-smoker) pulled me aside and told me maybe I should investigate it more on the internet.
Of course I googled it, found this site along with Steve and my DSE901.
So glad my husband talked me out of the smoking everywhere.

An old friend of mine showed me one that she had purchased in a mall. Then went on to explain how it really wasnt helping(go figure). I came this } { close to writing them off as just another worthless gimic aimed at the desperate. Then I stumbled across this forum one night and was up reading through it until like five am. I finally ordered a DSE901 thinking that it might be enough to help me stop smoking in the house if I was lucky. I recieved it 9 days ago and have smoked 4 analogs since, where I was up to between 2 and 3 packs a day! Trust me, this forum serves a purpose!
