I've always suffer from a sort of a TMJ thing (locking jaw). It never bothered me until I had the filling in a molar done a few years back. Now when the sinus kick in and become irritated and swollen, it affects the left side of my mouth--a knot actually forms on my lower jaw bone which makes me feel like that molar hurts--the bad tooth ache problem.
I've had the problem a couple times before and I have been to the dentist and he says there is nothing wrong with the tooth but he gave me pain killers which I took very sparingly so this time around I do have them.
Once all settle down all will be well in the world.

I had a short bout with teeth grinding at night a while ago. It also wakes you up. My Dad, who was still in practice at the time, made me a bite plate to wear at night because he said that anything that breaks the normal bite helps. It worked.

I don't know if it would work with TMJ, but it's worth asking.

Dad had oral surgery last Monday to have his last 5 teeth removed. All went well until last night when he ended up in the ER because he was bleeding from his mouth -- large clots, etc. So he got lots of new sutures and an okay to go home.

My sister is going up today. I'll go tomorrow. He said he doesn't need us but I told him it's either that or he gets an aide for the full day. The ultimate threat (He has one 7-11AM and 6-10PM and considers that a waste of money.)

The TMJ normally isn't a problem because I don't grind my teeth.
Right now when I open the mouth all I get is the sandpaper noise. What's going on now has caused slight swelling on the jaw bone...just a little off the left of the chin.
I already have a doctor's appt Wednesday morning but I'm hoping it's better by then.

And this maybe my own fault. I got some juice that was part PG. Stuff is good and I used it most of one day. At the time, it didn't seem to bother me. So get over this and it's back to VG!!!
