When i smoked anaolgs I would give out a lot of cigarettes to coworkers and people walking by, as well as friends, over time this builds up to a lot of freaking cigarettes. With packs being anywhere from $10 to $12 here it becomes a major annoyance, now with my eGo I dont worry about random ppl approaching me begging for a cigarette, or offering to pay me some loose change like 12cents. With my friends i simply give them a cignot businees card or the website try to convert them, and tell them just like they would share their toothbrush I dont wanna pass around something i put in my mouth all day, tho i have let all my close friends try it out...converted 3 ppl already...I do however absolutely love the reaction wen ppl see me vapor plume come ask to bumm a cigg and realize im sucking on what to them looks like a pen...usually a bizarre look followed by them walking away.

Well last night we partied until the sun came up and there were four vapers in the group. Sad thing was two of the vapers spent the later hours bumming smokes from the smokers. They were doing fine until they got a little buzzed and their batteries were not keeping up.

It's ok to break down and have a smoke I get it that for a lot of people who vape that it's about cutting down rather than quiting. HOWEVER, if you know you're going to out were you will most likely smoke, you really should pic up your own pack. I know a couple of the guys ended up running out of cigs because they didn't expect the vape heads to bum half their stash. Plus it really makes it look like e-cigs just can't really do the trick.

Brad, too bad they don't come prepared for an all nighter. I always have spares and extra batts at the ready, I just can't imagine bumming a cig at this point. Even when I drink I have no problems staying with the e cig.

I can't say that I am not tempted, but that is all the more reason to be prepared. I should also note that the lovely ladies who were bumming smokes are both fairly new. Also I doubt that they thought a simple pool/hot tub party would turn into an all nighter. But once the band showed up (me and my buds) it got a little out of control.

I will say one other thing. Vaping is great for playing in a band. You can take those one or two puffs and put it away. I wonder how many thousands of dollars worth of cigs burnt out in the ashtray because I couldn't get back to it or forgot about it once a song started.

Makes you wonder how many millions or billions of dollars have gone up in smoke without ever being enhaled!!

Ps. it used to drive me nuts to see someone bum a smoke and then take two hits and forget about it.

Worse, a non-smoking friend of mine used to make a regular practice of bumming cigarettes off me at a rate of about every other one I'd light up, puffing them without inhaling (a pet peeve: what a freaking waste!), all the time lecturing me about how I "really should stop smoking!" :p

I always hated giving cigarettes to people, I never forgot mine, and rarely ran out just because I felt terrible having to ask someone. I have had about 5 cigarettes since I started vaping 2 months ago, I just keep a pack in the car in case I want one. Most of the time I stick with my pv, but in my early days before I got my ego I had trouble with the cheapo ciggy looking ones keeping the batteries charged long enough. Now that battery power isn't a problem, I rarely even feel like having an analog. I certainly don't miss bumming them out. What's funny is that it was always my wife taking them from my pack. On the way to the bar she would tell me i really needed to quit smoking, then after she got a little buzzed up, she would start coming over and taking them from my pack.

I had this one friend who everytime she saw me she would ask me for a cigarette every 30 minutes until my pack was gone. And since she was a girl it made it hard for me to say no. But damn it sucked, now everytime I see her she asks "hey lemme hit that e-cig"

You should carry around a giant, prosthetic mouth sore. Stick it on, start vaping, then when this girl comes up, give a big smile, give a scratch just next to the fake sore, and say, "You sure?"

Sorry. That was gross. Plus, where does one buy a prosthetic mouth sore?

I was always the one that people bummed cigs from- cause there was no way i was gonna run out and i hate asking for things. So I always had "extra". It took me awhile to quit when i first started vaping. I was down to my last two cigs in a pack- which was an act of faith in and of itself, and i had a night that turned into an all nighter. I rationed the cigs, my batteries weren't keeping up- but there was no way that i was gonna bum a cig after mine were gone and I'd been carrying on about how great e-cigs were. The last part of that night was tough- i think i went through three batteries and my pcc wasn't charging fast enough. argh. I made it, I did not bum one from anyone else. That night.

Ironic thing is, a day or so later I bought an emergency pack of cigs. They're still in the glove box of my car- unopened. But the last cig I smoked was one I bummed from someone (when i was sober) cause i didn't want to open the emergency pack?! Ain't nothing like being consistent....
