Why are drippers so common as far as RBA's/RDA's?

Remember i said i was guessing....... And my guess was based only on my observations. I never said all drippers are young. In fact i am 56 and drip at home about half the time.

When i visit the B@Ms near me all the clerks are under 30 and they all drip. Most of the customers i see who are older are looking non drippable items

No offense meant

I am not sure if you are actually replying to me, but I just want to let you know I wasn't taking offense. I was just genuinely curious as to why someone would think that...

Drippers are easy to tinker with. The variety in builds is greater in a dripper than it is in a genesis. Genesis atomizers tend to mute the flavor compared to some drippers. Genesis atomizers also leak when tipped over. It's easy to change flavors with a dripper.

It really is starting to sound like a case of people not realize how capable gennies are when you experiment.

I have two drippers, and pretty much only use them when my Zamplebox order comes in. Otherwise, it's just too inconvenient for my lifestyle. I'm gone 12 hours per day with a 2 hour commute to and from work. While I enjoy the taste, dripping isn't for me. I do have one genesis style tank, however since it leaks when on it's side it's also not really suited for me. Kayfuns are my main rebuildable option, and I use carto tanks the rest of the time.

What gennies are you guys using that leak? Here are the different builds I've used in my RSST.

Single micro with cotton -

Mesh and dual micro -

Twisted -

Stacked duals -

I ran dual 28g micros for months and just recently switched to 26g duals @ .4ohms.

I'm sticking with that for a while. It hit's just like a dripper would and since I used 1/16 bits to wrap the coils it has no trouble wicking with the plug in.

Oh and I reduce my top caps with cotton so the flavor is spot on, better than my Igo.

I use RDA 99% of the time. I tried a genny, and got a nice fat dry hit o cotton at 78 Watts. :-/ not yummy at all. I know it was do to my lack of experience at the time, but every time i tried a genny after i have been nervous to take a full pull.

The other 1% is my trusty Russian :), but thats only when I am at work. I would be willing to give genny's another go i think. I dunno, burnt cotton is kinda.. nasty

They are trickier to get working compared to a dripper. With my current build I can take nice long lung pulls and the thing never seems to dry out unless I'm getting low on juice.

Conrad, everything is capable when done right. IMO it's a case of what someone wants to experiment with and what suits people for a variety of reasons. When I see cotton builds in Gennies the thought I always have is 'Yup, that looks great, but why would you give up SS mesh for cotton on that atty?'.

Now, you can put SS mesh in any atty too. I've seen that done and that's cool too. It's all about what you prefer and how you look at things. You like cotton in Gennies. I prefer to not have to change the wick in my Genny so often and appreciate the clean taste of SS in that atty. I also like Ekowool in my Kayfun. Still experimenting with cotton in the Aqua. That one may stay cotton because I think it would be hard to dry burn silica in it.

To each their own. Vape on ;)

Yeah but my point was more that a dripper is like a genny without the tank. You just have to be a little more creative with a genny.

I hear ya and I agree to a point. A Reo with a bottom fed dripper on it is the closest you can get to that and it's a fantastic system. Have you tried a bottom feeder yet?

LOL.

I build everything with cotton now, just like a dripper.

So no, that's not it.

:)

But seriously: why do you care? You guys actually sound quite annoyed about this!

Hehe I build everything with mesh. Just like a gennie.

I'm just to forgetful to use drippers full time. Did I just drip or not? Dunno! Let's add a few drops. Guess I did, and now it's leaking all over the place. Hmm quite sure I actually dripped just a few seconds ago. Nope! Dry hit! Did I vape it dry before pocketing it? Nope! Looks like I just peed myself a little. Yey! :D

I'm getting a dripper for a few reasons:

I want to learn to rebuild them
Hearing how much better juice tastes on one
I diy, so I want one for testing juices since they can be cleaned so easily.
I have some juices (like Andes Mint) that I only like a little bit at a time. I don't want to fill a whole tank with it
