I kept telling myself that I'd quit when I was "ready". I don't know that I "liked" smoking - I "liked" the feeling of the drag and the soothing (or angry, depending on my mood) exhale. I watched my uncle die from lung cancer last summer. Tried the cig-a-likes, but that wasn't cutting it for me. Bought a Volcano Inferno (my original cig-a-likes were MAGMAs) and I liked the concept of all the flavored juices (ohhhhhhh, if I only knew then what I know now, a short few weeks into this journey.) Now have added a Spinner and a VV3 - even a K1000 pipe! - and probably 50 different juices. I'm "ready" :)

I'm thrilled that I breathe more easily, I don't hack up a lung in the shower every morning, I don't smell like an ashtray, shall I keep going?

My father died of Lung Cancer, he was a very heavy smoker.
I'm 30 now and have smoked analogs since I was 15.
I started thinking about quitting when I was approx 25.
Didnt quit cause I didnt know what I'd do with myself, the hand to mouth action and all that.
I tried the cig lookalikes for a couple of weeks but found it didnt quite cut the mustard, so went back to analogs.

Recently started working in a new place and one of my colleagues saw me smoking.
He gave me an Ego-T with Liqua juice, I found it helped me to cut down.

Went and ordered myself an Itaste V3, a Zmax V5, and an Itaste Mini 134 and a boat load of juices from different vendors.
Now I just have an analog with my morning coffee and the rest of the day, I'm vaping.

My friends saw this change in me and all went and done the same.
My family did as well.

I am very happy that I found this.
I tried going without the morning analog and found I actually didnt need to anymore.
So am happy, that for now, I can call myself a social smoker rather than an addict.

I went to the dentist and had my teeth cleaned, over a decade of smoking leaves its marks on your body.
The amount of junk that was stuck on my teeth was disgusting.

My smile is now better and I dont smell like an ashtray anymore:)

But I do have to sadly admit I honestly did not want to give up smoking as I enjoyed it. Thankfully I found a "healthier " way to get the same enjoyment

Same for me just enjoyed smoking.... new it was never any good for me since finding vaping it helped me make the change for the better. Analogs still smell so good to me

Simple answer... health reasons.

But to elaborate I reached a point mentally where I knew full well that every puff off a cigarette was bad for my health. The evidence of the harm from smoking has been no secret for a long time nor something I ignored. I read/heard it... Saw many others suffer from it... I got it. Tried quitting in many available forms without success. I knew I had to quit... I could feel the health impacts.

So I had a stern talk with my stubborn brain... decided to give e-cigs an honest and darn good try. It stuck and worked... 14 months+ smoke free.

i quit for a few reasons, my ex wife harped on me for 3 or 4 years after she quit, although she was just a social smoker. I blew her off, but i have bad sinus issues and live in TN where sinuses are a pain in the .... I broke my nose a lot as a kid between watersports and 4 wheeling, martial arts, etc. and got tired of constant upper respiratory infections and sinus infections. Shortness of breath, etc. so yea.

For one because of health reasons, also to save money. Not to mention, smelling like an ashtray is not attractive for the ladies, no matter how much cologne I put on, I never been able to cover up the horrid smell. Also, the bad breath was enough to make someone nauseas lol. I was so into smoking cigarettes that I'd sneak off during class time and haul a dart in the washroom (flash back to the 80's haha).

Six days later, I no longer reek like cigarettes or have bad breath. The money I spent on cigarettes now goes to leisure activities and items that I would of spent on cigarettes. Now I'm just going to take er' one day at a time until my health comes back to normal. Even now, when I sit beside someone who has finished smoking a cigarette in class, they smell real bad.

I had a non-smoking related cancer scare 3 years ago which served as a bit of a wake-up call. I bought a couple of cigalikes at the end of 2011 but they really didn't do it for me. I managed to cut my smoking right down over 2012/2013 but my life seemed to revolve around when I could light up one of my 3 or 4 a day and I got fed up constantly thinking about smoking, so, I did a load of research and discovered how much things had moved on - the rest is history ! I'm pretty certain I couldn't have done it without my 2 iTaste VV3s :)
