The Big Dummy is an odd animal.
Mega long chain, an idler kit helps but that is one more drag point. The are surprisingly nimble for such a long beast. A triple crank set up for touring makes sense on this beast. I don't use the granny gears that much on a typical touring bike but a Big Dummy can use them. When bare they can get moving well enough on a long down hill to use the tall gears.
