I agree... I'm waiting for some time in 1st qtr of 2016. I think some decision has to be made before April. Doing the research doesn't cost me anything and it keeps me from getting gloomy about vaping industry sitrep.

Have a huge target market here in Illinois. Going to keep buying nicotine, flavors, lab materials, accessories, etc, so that no matter what I'll be able to vape for some time.

SEE SIGNATURE.

Good idea. I've been stocking up since last year. I have enough supplies to last two lifetimes. I have 5 gallons of 100 mg nic frozen and 12 gallons each of PG/VG. Over 200 (40z bottles of flavorings) And a ton of devices and tanks. I'm actually about to buy more gallons of nic. I supply a lot of people with juice so I need way more than the normal vaper.

I'm with you! I'll try to order another two liters this month of Nude Nicotine Armor, 100mg/ml.

I can only wish you the best, but I would reconsider. Check your math(s). at 3.50 a pack a day that's 98 dollars a month for smokes (Plus the fancy health benefits that will cost you MUCH MUCH MORE down the road) If you feel that even 100 extra dollars every 6 months for a mod is too much, consider the cost to "cure" cancer. Or perhaps the cost to have emphysema, or COPD, or heart disease, or a failing kidney, or continued diabetes.

No one can force you to be ready to switch. Only you can be ready. It took me several attempts to fully get off those sticks, but I never stopped vaping. I just kept slowly replacing places I smoked with the PV instead until one day it all just worked itself out. (short version)

There is so much I actually want to say, but can't - I keep deleting it over and over. I want to share the costs between smoking and vaping. Tell you about all those great deals online, the availability of DIY tutorials, informative videos, step by step written guides with pictures.

The point is.... the world is at your finger tips(Internet). If you want it bad enough you will find a way. We (all of us here) try to help everyone we can, and it's not easy - hell sometimes it's down right frustrating, but we still try, but there is one thing you have to do first - commit yourself to your decision. Even if you fail every single day, there is eventually a small victory, and soon those small victories end up being larger victories. But you have to start somewhere.

Cost isn't truly an issue here. Not in the grand scheme of things.

We will be here whether you Smoke or Vape because it's just what we do.

Keep trying!

Since we're talking abt cost of E-Liquids, has everyone seen this video! It's awesome!!!

"LET'S TALK ABOUT: The Cost of Vaping and How to Calculate Your Mixes"

Yup yup, been mixing my own juice now for over 6 months, not looked back, I have around 600ml of different juices mixed up, if you sub ohm, this is a must..

I bought some Capella bubblegum flavor and banana concentrates last week, got them cheap and didn't expect to like them, wow, ha, really nice vape, def tastes better than it sounds..

Yup, got 1.5 liters of nude nic armor, wrapped in foil in the fridge, will move to freezer when I can find room. Should last me 25 years or so...[emoji14]
Would nicotine actually last 25 years in the freezer? While I've considered DIY, it's only to avoid regulation and not to save money.

On ECF Forums, I've heard stored 10 years in a freezer with no more than 10% degradation. I'm buying now too.

This post had me a little shocked, I'd rather pay out and struggle every 6 months than kill myself smoking, surely what you spend in 6 months you can buy another mod anyway..

Kinda upsetting to doom yourself back to the death sticks.
I think some people are just frustrated over the huge lack of quality surrounding the vast majority of devices available.

eLeaf is a garbage company yet people continue to buy and recommend their products.

I won't even recommend a Sigelei as anything more than a backup.

..............
here in CT they are $10 a pack!
.....................................
when i started smoking 15 years ago, they were $1.80 a pack!!
off topic but I think worth pointing out:

that's really just inflation;
prices double ever 7 years
(or the value of a dollar is halved in 7 years).
That has been the case over my entire lifetime so far; half century.

an almost rant----

Kinda off topic but addressing so many posts in this thread. Sadly we are pushing the ANTZ rhetoric to the limit in this thread as to how each and every smoker WILL die a horrible death from smoking. It simply is not true. Some will, sure, but most won't. I have known lots of elderly smokers that lived well into their 80's and were healthy up until simple old age took them. Of course the ANTZ would say they were smokers so smoking killed them

To me smoking is a messy smelly habit. Ashes every where, dirty smelly ashtrays, yellow sticky film on everything, burnt holes in my clothes. Those are the reasons I personally quit smoking.

end of almost rant :D

A person is either determined and will go through hell and back to find a way to quit smoking or they have not got to that point yet .

When someone says i have tried vaping but i am going back to cigs and brings up the "too expensive excuse , that imo means they have clearly not reached the point of being committed to stop smoking .

Vaping is, without question one of the cheapest and most effective way to beat cigs but if you haven't reached that " will beat smoking no matter what it takes" than imo your wasting everyones time.

Come back in the future when you have truly reached that point because we will be here.

Sorry, thats just how i feel

Excellent points...
I've had/have numerous devices, from the utterly cheap to moderately priced mods. I have istick20w's which have been my go to that are over 6 months old and still working great. I bought a used reo reasonably and it's in my back up box. Hell, I even have a carton of old boge cartomizers and tanks if I can't rebuild my rba's.

I've been a saavy shopper and picked up evod kits on sale, researched how to build rda's and nothing, I mean nothing will take me back to 'moking.

Commitment and determination are for you to decide, you wouldn't have come back here to post your farewell if you didn't think that there would be people to try and uplift you and help point you in the right direction, but you have to talk yourself into it. Good luck

To mention that there are people on this planet that are in their 80's and still alive means nothing to dispel just how horrific cigarettes effect ones health.

There are many people that live a long time even when inflicted with smoking related illnesses . Smoking does everybody in eventually , that some are still smoking well into their 80's is not proof that cigarettes might not be that bad.

Yep, I am one of them. I have 10+ iSticks (20 & 30W). Some are a year old. A few are 10 months old. The only loss was due to drowning. Waterproof was not an expectation.

I suggest not buying any vape product as soon as it comes on the market unless the person is willing to take the risk. The risk was proven as users began using the iStick 50w. I'm sorry OP got into vaping with a known flawed device.

bolded part above, mine

That statement is simply not true. I am not saying that smoking is a healthy habit or that it isn't bad for ones health. I am just saying that I don't believe that each and every smoker WILL die a horrible death We have been told that so many times that it has become truth for so many people. It seems, if an untruth is told often enough it becomes truth. It still isn't truth but is perceived as truth.

edited to add: I am sorry that I have taken this thread off topic. This is a discussion for another time.
