I just wanted to say farewell to all my friends here because this is my last post here. I'm going back to traditional cigarettes. My beloved and only MOD I have the iStick 50W died on me only after 6 months it will no longer charge I used the correct charger (1 AMP). It seems that i cant keep a MOD more the 6 months and I take VERY good care of them. I'm very poor and for me to buy a cheap MOD is a very BIG DEAL. I need it to last at least a year I understand now that all MODS are essentially disposable They will eventually die. yes I save money on e-liquid but if I have to but a new $50-$80 device every 6 months it negates the savings on the liquid. I love vaping and had a deep passion for it but I just cant afford it right now I hope vaping continues on and continues saving peoples life. Love yall for all the help and goodbye.

Chipotle.
If your passion were as deep as you say it is, you'd find a way to keep vaping. Enjoy funding big tobacco, before you decide to do so though I would very much hope you would look in to DIY juice and the possibility of other mods such as a mechanical as they do seem to last much longer, I have mechanical mods over two years old that still work just as good as the first day.

Using the statistics in your signature if you avoided 20,366 cigarettes over 509 days, at an average of even a super cheap $2.50 per pack - 20,366 / 20 = 1018.30 x 2.50 = $2,545.75 over 1.4 years. You're saying you spend significantly more than that for vaping? I find that hard to believe personally.

Hate to see you give up on it and go, but if you feel that's what you need to do, I guess that's what you need to do.
What I don't understand is, how you can afford to buy cigs, but not spend 50-80 dollars on a new mod. That has got to be cheaper than buying cigs where you live. Even doing it every 6 months that works out to only $6.83 - $13.30 a month. Where there is a will, there is a way, good luck to you.

You sound like if you're comfortable with it you are a perfect candidate for a mech. They're not disposable and will last far past a year with minimal care, something to think about. Plus I agree with Froth smoking is going to be more expensive to your wallet and your health.

I wouldn't stop vaping if I only bought a mod once half year... That is still cheaper then traditional cigarettes.. Maybe you can save up the money you spend on traditionals and then when your mod dies, get a new one from the money you saved..

Hope you change your mind!

I agree that most vaping mods are junk, most if which are very cheaply made.
There are quality Mods out there. They last a lot longer than six months, but they also cost more than $40. The Reos Grand and the ProVape ProVari are just a couple that cost more but last for years. If a new mod is too much, try surfing the ECF Classifieds. Many loved and/ or seldom used Vaping Mods and accessories can be bought at a fraction of the cost there.

You don't have to keep buying semi-disposables, you could buy one quality pre-owned mod in the classifieds and continue the less harmful life.

There are lots of others, but here's one example:

](DO NOT post Classifieds outside of the Classifieds)

Sure, it shows some signs of use but it's an original Vapor Flask before Vapor Shark bought the rights and turned it into a crap-shoot.

get verified for the classies and buy a used ProVari ... no need to keep buying disposable gear.

buy once ... use it forever :vapor:

smoking will not save you money ... it will kill you :smokie:

I was going to say a Reo but left it at mech, but yes this either one is a tough mod. The only part that stings is the initial investment but knowing you're mod is going to fire when you need it to everytime is rather priceless.

Thanks everyone for all the replies! I'm on disability so i only get paid once a month I live on $691 a month and I budget $100 toward vaping so If i buy a$50 to $80 device that leaves me way short on liquid for the month. I don't want to support big tobacco but it looks like that have me by the balls. Love yall thanks for the reponses

I'm sorry to hear about mod going out. Doesn't the iStick 50W have an internal battery? I suggest you buy a mod that has an external battery. Those last much, much longer than internal battery mods. With an external battery mod if the battery dies you just replace the battery for 8 bucks. If an internal battery device dies, then you can't just replace the battery.

There' a lot of good sales about to start due to Black Friday coming up. I've seen some sales starting early. I'd say you'll be able to pick up a good mod very cheap if you take some time and look around for sales.

Also, someone else mentioned this, but have you looked at the classifieds here? You can always find really good deals on mods there. You'll need to get verified though. It's nothing you pay for... just a verification process to identify you.

You could buy a really cheap ego battery and tank just to hold you over until you can find something better. Going back to smoking shouldn't be an option.

BTW: How much did you smoke before you started vaping?

Don't go back to smoking. :nun: I think you can figure out solution. Good luck.
