Why is a Provari P3 even a viable choice.

The beautiful Puget Sound
Patent Pending can be Just as Binding as a Granted Patent.

And a Simple Engineering Change to a Chip Set Can/Could/Will effect a New Design

---

BTW - Have you seen this Thread? It includes their Patent Number I think.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/notcigs/582364-vv-patent-issues-next-week.html
There is no binding protection whatsoever with a patent pending. Patent pending is nothing more than a notification to people/companies who infringe on the item that is in the process if being patented that they could be liable for damages when/if the patent is granted. There is no protection until the patent is granted.

No, I hadn't seen that thread, thanks.

Great links, thanks.

No problem.

I am amazed at the fact that "authentic" makers are not litigating more. Provari is not cloned, and assume it is for this reason. Heck, Ameravape clone results in zero hits for shopping on Google. "Authentic" makers can protect their property if it is actual worth the money. Evolv, Provape, and Innokin all will have very good reason to make themselves the only options in the regulated market. Writing is on the wall people. The crap will hit the fan if they have good lawyers in the coming year. Evolv's patent is a game changer for American sales of cloned VW mods.

So yes, I believe, the P3 will be one of the only viable choices in the regulated VW market in the near future.

To give a recent example look at Bosch's multi-cutter. The name escapes me, but a company patented this tool type in the 1980's. There was only ONE option on the market while their patent(s) were valid. Once the patent expired, the market became flooded with cheaper options, including a harbor freight clone.

Yup, it is not available, priced at $169, and with no logos or brand. I am sure many people would buy that if it ever comes out.

That would be kind of silly to buy imo..since buying an original is cheaper....and you get none of the build quality that you do in a genuine....

ProVari Variable Voltage Electronic Cigarette

The above is without batteries, charger or customization at 159.95...

LOL, I have seen the youtube on this...it is pretty hokey.

The whole kit with charger, two AW batteries and a tank is 212.95...(genuine)

From what I've seen in the previews, there is no on-board charging, so you'll have to have a separate charger.

Any IMR li-on battery charger that you have today will work just fine...the P3 will accept button tops and flattops...No need to buy another charger if you already have one, which anyone who runs a mod that does not have a usb charged battery today will have.

My Provari V2 has been rock solid for 2 1/2 years. In that time, I've worn out a couple of cheapo VV mods and I keep going back to the Provari. My next purchase will probably be an Eleaf istick for pocket carry. My Kayfun has become too large on the Provari for effective stealth vaping. The combination sticks out of my pants pocket. Dead giveway.

So where are the Provari clones?

The P3 will do just fine it is marketed to ex-smokers that want a reliable quality vape.

You actually think there ever will be a Provari clone? You are not thinking right. Who's going to warranty the clone? Some fly by night China company who makes toasters as well as PV's? Why would anyone clone it since it's so outdated to begin with?

The video review was so funny. He spent have the review showing how bad the threads were. The display went on each time he puffed on it. That's the best China could do and they priced it higher then the real Provari. Gee I'd love to find it under my Christmas tree.

Actually the P2.5 becomes more attractive for the average vapor with every day that passes. About every PV that gets mentioned as "better" anymore costs more. (even the clone)

I'm pretty sure the real future for average vapers belongs to devices like the mvp2 and the eleaf istick. Anything over and above those is getting in to enthusiast land IMO. It's awful easy to throw down $35 for the istick, stick a nautilus on top and stop worrying.

I believe these are great entry devices.

IF you become committed (say vaping for six months or so) to vaping, having a mod that has supreme build quality and reliability (and superbly accurate) $159 is not very expensive. It is great that there are so many different devices out there right now for vapers to choose from.
