Why is Smok so popular?

I've been looking at mods on sale and smok always comes up about $10 less than other brands, but I'm not interested after owning several. I've been attracted to the innokin Proton. Anyone tried this one? Comments?

A lot of vape shops around here have 90% of the inventory of devices and tanks that are Smok. Is it because they are popular or that they are sometimes the cheapest and are readily available?

Good marketing and aggressive sales to direct retailers. And given typical B&M prices, great margins.

Smok offers nice looking mods with lots of features for a lower price than most. Other brands are usually longer lasting and built with more innovation and quality, IMO. If it's $20 cheaper, works well, and lasts a year or two before breaking most people are happy. Smok mods aren't usually engineered as well as some.

Their attys are popular and work well. I can't imagine how many people are vaping a TF series tank by smoke. Those are popular for DTL vapers.
