The standard Evic body is a bit flimsy in feel and is CCC, to me. (CCC=inexpensive merchandise manufactured in a country far far away)

I do prefer it all Greek'd up tho. Sorry, there isn't a slice of bacon or a motorcycle in this pic. And no leopards were injured in the making of this photograph.

I do adore the Provari as well. And I'm a big fan proponent of VW. Of them all, the Darwin stole my heart. However, the DNA20 is giving it a run for its money. I would not agree to be without any of these three in my arsenal and daily rotation.

I do hope everything is spelled correctly. ;)

Everything here is just the best - top-notch.

Bizarre I wrote break over brake so many times... I guess when I'm on break from teaching I let the mind slip a wee bit. Also, alzhoholz.

If you can't teach drunk, you can't teach. Also.......is there such a thing as an academic who doesn't drink heavily?

And to close my portion of the on-topic part of the thread, no, you don't have to buy a provari to get a great vape. Honestly, I was happy with my Twists. This way is much more expensive, and it's not really better if I'm just trying to stay off cigarettes. It surpassed that a long time ago, and I think I've reached the point where I'm just collecting, though not as much so as many others.

Current (actually used): Provari, Silver Bullet (kick), Reo Grande, 2 Kamry K100s (one kicked), and an extra kick in case one dies. All of them with rebuildable drippers. One of the K100s is getting replaced by a Legacy once I decide mini vs. full. I'm going to get a Provari Mini whenever I get around to it. I'm going to get an MVP just to put a tardis wrap on and use at dragoncon. I might get a CC Novice just because I think it's cool. And, I sure wouldn't say no if I found a matte Nemesis actually for sale somewhere.

An eVic or whatever the hell else was mentioned into the first post does not fit into that lineup. The only reason the K100s do is because the Empire is 901 and there are no RBAs for 901. I'd also buy an Empire if I got a chance, but I'd probably use the inner tube from one of my K100s with it if I couldn't replace the connection.

I'm going to get back to the work I should have been doing all day. When I get back, I expect pictures of bacon and motorcycles. Cars are acceptable too, but only if they're manuals.

A study done recently by Ze Germans showed that people with higher IQ's were generally more inclined towards drinking 'a wee bit more than they ought to' (not sic)

I am teaching a bioethics course at a hospital next semester and have a horrid fear of hospitals so perhaps a few quick drinks before class may help quell the stress. I'll get back to you when my 'research' is done.

Literally burst out laughing.

Nice.

That's word choice, not grammar, unless I'm mistaken.

Nope, two different words. Normally it doesn't bother me that much, but he did it like 6 times! :) :) :)

I knew there must be a rational explaination.

I know the eVic is fragile (that's italian!!) but a leopard pillow is a bit extreme. ;)

Fine, here's a pic of my friend buying his first bike. He's still trying to get me to get one too, but I'll stick to mountain bikes. Riding a motorcycle or road bike in my city is suicidal. A cyclist was run over and killed yesterday and no one even stopped. San Jose sucks.

I liked the Thruxton over the Bonneville, but he wanted the longer seat for the ladies. ;) Cafe racers are cool unlike the crotch rocket sportbike riders around here that blast loud music and have fake mohawks on their helmets. Like I said, San Jose sucks.

Watch it with the sport bike rider hate friend. Some of us are very respectable riders and keep the speeding to the tracks.

Sorry if I came off wrong. I have the utmost respect for all serious motorcyclists no matter what you ride. I love all types of bikes from Harleys to Hayabusas and the only reason I don't ride is because of the idiot drivers here. I was only referring to the ......... posers we have in San Jose.

I can groove on that. There's nothing worse than sitting on the Ducati (which is covered in sponsor stickers) on a highway and having a kid on a brand new 'I've never done this before' rocket pull up next to me and rev his engine... I usually brake and switch lanes to get the hell away from the pending death. Ride safe and with respect.

There are a good number of those in Atlanta. There are also some obviously talented riders. Even some who take the mohawk helmets out on weekends.

The general rule of thumb as I see it is that if the person might weigh more than the bike give them a wide birth…even if you're in a car. Also, if they're not wearing a jacket.

I watched somebody almost lose control dong that. I assume he let the clutch out too fast or just wasn't paying attention.

Also, FWIW, the guys with sponsor stickers and team jackets that aren't repicas of Rossi's seem to be the most courteous and safe riders. Some guy fitting that description helped me bump start a rented dune buggy with a bad starter that we rented in Panama City several years ago. He didn't even really ask, he just stopped, dismounted, walked to the back and told me to put it in second while I was trying to convince my friend (who didn't drive stick) that yes, manual transmissions work like that.
