wicks coils rbas please help

What are you wrapping coils around ? I use 14 and 16 gauge needles .It sounds like your coil might be super small and is causing wicking issues.

Should have better idea when we see pics Dont worry man we will figure it out and get you vaping like a champ !

I had issues at first too.I learned wrapping coils for RSST and AGA T and first coil looked like a angry slinky

sry there sideways and do u need any other pictures also let me rephrase that staement also im getting better at wrapping coils i found the chart someone posted here for micro coils and to be honest sometimes they dont work out as stated but i also havnt been heating the coils like i have seen could this be a problem?

I dont use genesis style attys anymore but with the cotton that is a lot ! You would want it just a little out of top of coil and not all the way down in the tank either .

I wont comment on silica since I dont use it .

You are more than likely having issue with hot spots due to the coils and that along with the cotton is what is causing the flavor to be bad.

and i have been wrapping the coils around a small picture hanging nail when there wrapped i can slide 2mm silica through it and be a little tight

Give an idea how tight my cotton wicks are.
Super loose through deck hole.
Slightly firm inside coil.

I recommend wrapping a micro coil.Very tight wraps all next to each other .Thats what I use and can help you learn to set up easiest .

I would do it with the dripping atty since it will be more simple to do and wick.

I will post pic for you to see what mine looks like give me a few mins ok .

this is the nail i have been using beside a piece of 2mm silica so you can see the size its actually smaller then the silica

I pushed a pile of medium wick under coil; the medium wick isn't fat as it appears

yea i usually cut off right above the coils but this time i left more and drenched the cotton just to see what would happen maybe if i was not getting enough juice

Heres mine on smok squid that was made for bottom feeding my Reo but same as other small RDAs as far as setting up. Not to much cotton and not to little and very tight together wraps.

The cap off, push button, unflavored vapor, smell test may be the easiest way to grade wick quality.

The smell from perfect wick/coil vapor is near odorless.

A bad wick/coil will have a burning wet T-shirt smell.

Yeah nail seems ok. Try wrapping new coil with very tight wraps right next to each other .Then mount it and fire it up and squeeze them tight like I do.Make sure to fire very hot ,release button then squeeze. That will tighten up the coils and then we can help with the wicking .

Yeah I knew what you meant .As long as he can get some tight coils and no burning smell/taste I think hell be vaping like us cool kids in no time LOL
