Ahah. I forgot about idle. Mine's almost never idle and I forgot to check that.
Hitting the V up or down button shuts of the screen after a few seconds to conserve mah BTW.

The set of Samsung R25s I started at about 3pm yesterday lasted almost 12 hours.
I'm good with that.
They were at 3.27 when it quit firing at 80W. good enough.

I have a half dozen chocolate LG 3000mah on the way.
I expect they might last close to a full day before swapping.

I'm trying to calculate how many amps my RX200 is pulling at shutoff (3.27V) on Steam Engine.
I multiplied the mah and that voltage x 3 but only pulling 9amps? That seems way off.
I calculated it at 3.27V and it says it pulls 27.18A there. That sounds more realistic.
It says I have 66 amps available at both voltages. Could that be correct?
If so I could "safely" use about 180W. I won't, I just like to know my limitations.

Seems to be and could be even less amps if the efficiency averages 95%-97% like the dna and yihi boards. At least we know we shouldn't see many people with bad battery failures to to pushing them to hard. The balanced charger built into the mod is another story though.

That looks right. So I triple the mah but not the voltage when I calculate.
So 80W on R25s depleted to 3.27V is pulling 27.18 amps out of 66 safely available

That 24.02 is if you set the battery voltage to 3.7v with 3 batteries in series you are multiplying that voltage by 3 so in the case of the original question of 3.2v you would put 9.6v in the battery voltage section. That is why the amps are so low. Its outputting less then half the total voltage into the atty so is much easier on the batteries individually.

I tried my Velocity at 165W on my IPV3 Li with fresh batteries.
It must have been pushing the limit. It was unpleasant and scary.
Not scary as in I'm going to blow up but scary as in I don't even want to know a dry hit at 165W.

I enjoy my Crown tanks at 80W and I very rarely hit it a few times at 105 just to crisp the crud.
80W should be as safe as could be on the RX200 even at 3.2v and sag seems insignificant.

So not triple the mah?
Just tried it with triple the volts but not the mah.
Works out the same amps as triple the mah but not the volts.
I see the difference but the bottom line is the same.
58% overhead either way with batteries drained.
That should be as safe as possible with about 0 battery sag so I'm happy

Since there isn't a dual/triple cell setting...either way you look at it works as long as you remember the variables

I just checked the epay seller that I got my IPV3 silicone skin from.
No RX200 skins or pouches anywhere on epay yet.
This will be a tight stretch to get a skin on these. Magnum.

Too bad SerenityGear Leather probably won't either.
He makes the best Provari sheaths I've seen.
Maybe Valentino Villa on Facebook.
He makes excellent sheaths for the SX mini and a bunch of other mods.
I just asked him. I'll keep the thread posted if there's any interest.

Got mine in today and loving it. To echo others' comments, it's surprising how small it is considering it is a triple 18650 mod. It's the heaviest mod I've used but it doesn't bother me. Been using it fairly steadily since about 8 PM-ish and the battery meter hasn't budged. Granted, I'm only using 36.5W with this atty. I opted for the white/teal version and I like it. Unless some ridiculous problem comes up with it, I will be picking up a second one in black.

I know you where really sad when you broke the Asolo... so much you tried to rig/save it... hahaha
Now that you have had a little to play with the RX200, I would like to know how this compares to the Asolo, and any other big name mod you might have experiance with/on...

5 clicks fire button to lock, hold all 3 buttons for at least 5 seconds when locked shows voltage for all 3 batteries.
I don't know if this was discussed here but I just saw it on Facebook and it works.

ok quick question. might of been answered before but I didn't see it.

does the RX200 monitor each cell individually so that it shuts down incase one cell depletes alot faster.
max amps input and output?

Thats a tough question. I really like the way the asolo regulates kanthal (despite some nay sayers, it really does, just differently then other tc devices) and the dry hit protection...down side, ANY dual battery 200 watt mod is going to be underpowered (wasn't a big deal to me, since i dont typically go over 80). Cons....no usb for charging or updates, cant adjust preheat power in tc mode (Ni/Ti)

The rx200 can use every wire type that the asolo can.....only difference is no regulation on kanthal. Longer battery life. Truer wattage (3 cells can handle the 200). Adjustable preheat power. Usb charging and updates. Great looks (though it is larger/heavier...not necessarily a con, but a factor to think about). Haven't found any cons yet really other then when using SS it will drop out of tc sometimes if you dont lock the res...but it has res lock, so no problem there. Well....it doesn't like twisted ss430 builds, which is one of my favorite, but right now I'm running a 20 gauge ss318L build....10 wraps @ .2 ohms, and its beastly. Even with all that steel, and preheat at 100 watts, battery life has been great.
