Agreed ! The op didn't make your latter statement though. As far as your ANTZville comment, the less i say the better :).
You're right, the OP didn't clarify either way.

As for the ANTZville part, " anyone that does it is disgusting." is, as I said, a step down that path. People are, of course, welcome to their opinions. Thinking smokers are disgusting, and verbalizing that is where the whole anti-smoking movement started though. People believe something, then start thinking everyone else should agree, whether they like it or not.

Some people think this is okay: Smoking is so bad for you that you should choose to quit, and if you don't choose to quit, we will do everything in our power to force you to choose to quit.

I NEVER mentioned being racist. Other people have jumped to that conclusion. I was asking about PREJUDICE - the act of pre-judging a person or persons based on some attribute. Smoking or veganism is a choice of lifestyle, ethnicity is not. I try to be very aware of my prejudices and not let them become how I see or deal with people. Am I 100% successful with that? No. That doesn't mean I will stop trying though.

My apologies. I don't think I said you were a racist nor mean to communicate that. You mentioned race qualities as forms a prejudice. Racism is a form of prejudice, at least according to Merriam Webster. We all have prejudices. For example, every time I see someone doing 80mph on a motorcycle wheelie down a busy highway, my reactionary response is to think "imbecile." I know full well he may not actually be an imbecile. For all I know, he may be humanity's best hope for curing cancer but my prejudice leads me to believe his future involves backing up traffic while they clean the unpleasant bloody stain of his former self off the highway, making me and others late for an appointment.

FYI, if we all chipped in, we could get Zoe this for visits to the vet. It only comes out to a little over a buck per cat that she has.

For me, its fairly simple. Being a racist its stupid. Judging between a vegan and vegetarian, vegetarian wins. It's understandable. You don't like eating meat. Vegans on the other hand seem like they have gone off the deep end and become the zombie like cult religion members for a cause that has no real humanitarian purpose. Vegan's seem to like inventing stances and ethics that make no sense to me. Vegan's are also hypocrites. They are always making food that sounds like non-vegan food, like vegan ice cream. There is no vegan ice cream, just frozen bean squirtens. Vegan cheese? Cheese is made from milk. No milk = no cheese. The ultimate in vegan mockery is vegan bacon. It's just wrong on every level. So people can call me a bigot, but I'll make fun of them none the less :) Afterwards, I'll go out and have a delicious veal parmigiana and sleep peacefully.

Hahahaha, the vegan thing is too true! I was a vegetarian for quite a few years, slipped off that boat a few years ago. Anyhow, my ex was one too and became a vegan and was trying to force me to become one. He became very zealot like. Well you can imagine how that ended. Hence, "ex". But seriously, everyone I have known who is a vegan is seriously zealot like and a {moderated}. You don't get that with vegetarians. Seriously, vegan cheese is an abomination. Haha. So no, I would never date a vegan. Oh, wait, I mean yes I would date a smoker, just no smoking in the house. I didn't do that when I smoked. But I'm married and damn glad my husband was cool with me smoking. He always told me he wouldn't badger me to quit because he knew how that was being a former smoker. I believe he is going on 8 years smoke free. Needless to say, he is very happy I vape even though he teases me about it from time to time.

I don't care if they smoke or not , i can even accept warts (never been a big wart fan but if i had to i suppose it would be OK) , what i need to know is if she believe's in bathing because thats pretty important to me . Not sure i could handle somebody who doesn't believe in soap .

Post of the month! And I have a cat that I love! LOL

Any who, my wife still smokes while I'm on my third year of vaping with no tobacco use. I don't love her any less (or any more for that fact/kidding). Would I be open to dating a smoker if (God forbid) my wife wasn't with me any more? Of course, even though the smell bugs me a little now that I don't smoke, all I can think of is all of the other little annoyances that I can create that would still put me at a deficit in the relationship department (I am no where near perfect). Do people choose their friends on the basis of whether they smoke or not? Probably, but they are missing out on some of the most down to earth and enjoyable souls on the planet in my opinion.

There is a person behind that smell of smoke and they could turn out to be the most loving person you ever end up knowing.

That's true, and my husband, who's been a non-smoker for more than 40 yrs, put up with my smoking for 27 yrs, the first 10 yrs of it indoors. But for myself... no, I couldn't do it. I can't even stand to be in the same room as a smoker, if they've smoked anytime in the last 6 hrs. I already had a preternaturally keen sense of smell, BEFORE I quit smoking; now it's just flat off the charts.

Don't want to engage in a taxonomical debate over the application of "racist" vs. "prejudice", as that's not what's really at stake here. But your latter point about the motorcyclist is spot-on with how he occurs to you via his actions. It's not prejudice - that would what you would think/say about any and all motorcyclists, regardless of their actions. And besides, who of us has never done something impulsive or reckless that was foolish? Doesn't make us idiots, just human. ;)

Just wondering, even though I smoked cigs for 23 years, I don't see myself dating someone who smokes cigs unless they are willing to switch to vaping. I really can't stand the smell of smoke anymore and now I can smell it intensely from my co-workers who still smoke and brother in law.
Depends what she looks like. Some could even eat crackers. Only if wife would allow me to do so. LOL
