OK not really...but it avoided much unpleasantness!

I had a batch of bad batteries apparently (I have a thread in the general discussion). One of them burned a hole through itself.

Since I use the 901->801 adapter (for air flow and to keep liquid off the batteries if it leaks from dripping) I avoided a lung full of battery fumes, and the XHaler itself protected me from the battery acid.

What kind of batteries were you using (sorry, didn't see your thread on main)?

Sorry for the delay in answering...they were UltraFire 3.6V 1800mAh. Vendor (battery junction) said they were the 3.7, just different packaging. He offered replacements, and I requested that they have the case stating they were protected, 3.7v Li-ion.

All is better now.
