I just ordered mine from vapordna.com.

Use this link http://vapordna.refr.cc/67F8SDL and get $10 off.

I only paid $49.99 with free shipping to Florida. I know I'm taking a chance but for the price how can you go wrong. 80 watts, 4400 mah, temp control, for $50 bucks! Sounds like a win win to me. For me it's a way to learn to use temp control. I can't even buy a DNA40 board for that price!

Apparently the few people I've seen with the device say that the temp control doesn't work at all. Could it be user error? Maybe, but most likely it's just Smok selling pipe dreams again. lol. I hope they are expecting a lot of returned units if that's the case.
Are they using ni200 wire to coil it? From my understanding, if you use kanthal, the device will only work like a regular mod. I could be wrong though. Just started looking into temp control myself.

They were definitely using nickel. Perhaps there's a truck to get the temp mode working properly.

I love the name "M80"...it conjures up images of the time a kid I knew blew up the toilet in the Men's room at church. I certainly hope it doesn't foretell the explosive nature of the device.:)

In all seriousness though, it looks like a good deal...I'd be all over it if it is confirmed to have step down capability.

Great news about true 80 watts, step down, and other functions all working for $50. As I see it this mods direct competitor is the istick 50 watt. Sounds the better deal at least insofar as the first reviews are concerned.. longevity, whole different story.

Temp control, meh.. had low hopes on that anyhow. but there may be "workarounds" as time goes on. (higher watts, lower temp, higher temp, lower watts, etc fimware upgrade ha.) but I won't hold my breath.

iow, if temp control is the only bummer, everything else works plus fast charging, no worries with sparks and a 2 year life? uhh.. I say either this or the istick 50 are great.

I received mine today.

First impressions;

Nice looking mod. Good and solid. Feels good in the hand. Simple easy menu. Fires with no issues using a Kanger Aero Mega, Russian 91%, and Kayfun V4. Adjustable spring loaded 510 pin. Bright Screen. Small factor. Software updating.

Works really well using kanthal wire. No delay coming out of sleep, fires right away. Reads ohms to 3 digits (1.25 for example). Seems like it fires true to wattage and volts.

Built a .12 nickel coil and set up the temp control. It definately works BUT!! It takes a least 5 seconds before it ramps up to temp. When it hits that mark the vape is very good. Rapid vaping on it and no dry hit so that's a good thing. The only work around as it is now is to either what a few seconds before you draw or take a very deep breathe because it will feel like forever before the mod ramps up.

Over all for the price it is a "good" device with 80 watts of power, nice looking, small form factor and built well.

Now if they flash the software to fix the delay in the temp control this will be a "great" device for $50!
That's just MHO.

I'd say that once China have got their heads around temp control, we'll see it on everything.
I wonder how long before the Istick 50T is around?

China already got their heads around temp control....well at least YiHi did. Different price league tho compared to other Chinese companies.
