Keep us posted, Noodles. I find this whole thing a bit weird. I did notice the grooves in the plate, but my mind said it was due to the enlarged pic. Now, (thank you, DPL) after a closer look, no, yours is definitely a different plate.

It SOUNDS like the XVO is an authie tho, from the signs you've described.

I took a close look at mine and besides yours having been mauled by a M1A, they seem to look identical.

Thanks, Jim! It appears they made more than one type of plate, which is a good indication.

What I like about it the best is how hard wearing it is, and of course the atty doesn't stick out the top.

I've been using it probably about a month now. I'm a firm convert.
