Yes... Another New Guy Story...

I've posted similar to this before, but figured after the chuckle your "battery acid off a dogs balls" comment gave me, I owed you some of my wisdom....

I won't advise you on gear... you'll get what you get and learn something in the process.

I will suggest that you do your absolute best to realize vaping is not smoking.

Don't think of it as "I'm doing this so I don't smoke"...

Think of it as "I'm doing this BECAUSE I don't smoke"

I struggled a bit with cig-a-like junk... but when I finally got a real PV (I refuse to associate vaping with smoking by calling them ecigs)... life was easy... I didn't have to try to quit smoking.... I just did because I was no longer a smoker.

I'm happy being a Vaper.

Its cheaper
Its healthier
It tastes better
I don't smell like hot garbage

Keep Calm
And
vape On

Sent from the ether using the power of my mind... and the Tapatalk app.

In the beginning stages, it's a bit difficult to not associate the two activities... But, I hear what you're saying. Everything I've heard, seen or read the last 72 hours has pointed to a giant neon sign in the sky telling me I'm going to LOVE vaping. And, once I start, I won't miss smoking at ALL... Although, reading about all these ignorant ...... up in arms, attempting to ban vaping is beyond troubling....

I'm more than likely gonna go with an ego twist (or 2) vivo clearomizers... a decent drip tip and a bunch of flavors.. I imagine that once the funds are available, I'll look around for the best deal on a twist starter kit and purchase the other things separately... I'm infatuated with all things vaping, ATM. I'm excited to get started...

I've been rocking disposables all weekend... Blu disposables aren't horrendous.. but at 10 bucks a pop... Ugh. I just need to find the best locally available disposables for the next couple of weeks, because I've gotten to a point, in only a few days, where I REALLY think this can work.... I'm disgusted by the taste of analogs, But the addiction.... sigh. I kinda ran out of em, so I've been resorting to analogs most of the day... And I'm disgusted with myself... Ha. :/

Welcome, and it sounds like you have a solid plan.

Getting decent equipment in my opinion is key. The ego twist, according to GrimGreen was a great mod for a good price.

I was really tempted to get that myself but I came across the ProVari and my OCD got the best of me.

I wish I came across this site and those youtube clips years ago. (not sure how long it's all been around)

I got some junk mods years ago and they ended up collecting dust and my smoking continued.

Since I got my setup last weekend I haven't had a cigar or cigarrette.

I'm loving it so far. I gave up an addiction for a hobby!

Wow... ProVari... Someone ain't f#&#ing around... :D
Now... from a noobs perspective... what made you make such a drastic leap? Are they really THAT badass? What are the benefits to rocking that, rather than a twist, or something similar, sir?

LOL, I'm really loving it, but I tend to go overboard at times! Since I bought mods previously and wasn't satisfied...I decided to go right to the top! I'm sure that I'd have been satisfied with a twist or something similar....but I had to eliminate ANY risk! :D

Plus, after buying it, I knew I wouldn't have enough money left to buy cigars!

Way to Go...
Got rid of those cigars, good for you !

Vape On !

By the way... Off the subject... In an attempt to thwart people's ignorant claims about how vaping is still "smoking" when I do so in public... And, since "personal vaporizers" are (by some) associated with weed... When people ask me what it is, I refer to it as "my inhaler".... end of discussion.

I would recommend you skip over the 501/808/carto stage as much as possible and get a couple of eGo Twists, some Kanger T2 or T3 clearos (or try both), and some replacement heads for the T2s/T3s. Vapingme.com and DiscountVapers.com have this equipment (and more) at good prices.

If you want to go whole hog, get an eVic (the Provari is good, but ridiculously overpriced considering everything that has come out in the last year) and some T2s/T3s.

Really good liquid is made by BackwoodsBrew, NiteLiteVapor, AlienVisions, CopperCreek and upStomp (who sells through ljesmokes.com).

Good Luck!
