Gary Numan "Are friend's electric" still is a fav. I have a feeling that's going to be next on our music night.

Oh yeah! I remember that one! LOL...

I was the baby--I was born in 1970 (duh) and my favorite brother was 10 years older. He got me into all that "weird" stuff, plus Devo, the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and sci-fi.

I really don't listen to music much anymore, but when I do I listen to everything, really. Got really into death-metal in my mid-late twenties (White Zombie, Megadeth, Metallica), now I will listen to Bluegrass and alternative rock.

I was talking to some people on another thread that wrap a lot of coils on all kinds of stuff. The consensus is that the Igo-L is one of the best beginner RBAs to learn on. Big deck and easy to build on. A couple of them said they will not rebuild the evod/protank coils anymore. Too small and too finicky. Not worth for them and the Igo-L is supposed to be 100x easier. They mentioned a couple of others too so I can go back and look if you want.

I think the guy that is sending me the jig is the owner of one of the coiling threads, I've already got my organic cotton for wicks and have my wire lined up, haven't bought yet, but it's all ready. I spend quite a bit of time in the Nicoticket forum as well and at least half of the people there are experienced coil makers, including DI who teaches it via youtube tutorials. I haven't purchased the wire yet because Cliff said something about going to MOV when I mentioned I needed wire, and if we can just drive over there I could save shipping on the whole order. They have really good prices for a B&M, often the best I can find online, I don't do Fasttech.
I'm heading to Sams tomorrow with his cousin so tomorrow is all booked up, lol.

That's interesting.

How does that compare with the IGO-W or Kayfun lite?

LOL! Your doing my legwork. I've been thinking about getting a beginner too. Actually I already have some wick and wire from a sale I ran into. So I guess that might be more than just "thinking" about it.

The Igo-W is set up to use dual coils, but you can build one coil and use it that way if you want. The Kayfun Lite has more to it and has a tank. Depending on which Kayfun you use you will get airflow control. It is similar to the Russian and Russian 91% and there are the originals and now clones from a couple of different knockoff makers so you have to be careful. And they keep coming out with upgrades; changing the finishes, airholes, etc. There are so many moving parts about the Kayfuns and all the associated ones that I am totally confused. When you go read the threads everyone seems to be getting a different one and doing different builds on them and I really am confused about them. Sorry I can not give you better info. Supposedly the Fasttech Igo-L and Igo-W are pretty decent. They are getting decent feedback. I am confused about the Kayfun stuff. And the Russian stuff. It all seems to start being like it is different makers/versions of the same thing depending on who you talk to and where you buy it from.

That's interesting.

Yes the Igo L is easy for beginners, I'm only thinking about doing the PT and T3S because I have a bunch of the heads and have not used either very much because the flavor was so muted for me, but I keep hearing people say with your own coils and wick they are great. I want to see for myself, I may be from California but I should have been from MO, I want proof of everything, lol.I have one ProTank and two T3S and still have quite a few new heads and I want to give them one more chance before canning them, I have not been at all impressed. Supposedly just replacing the wicks with organic cotton and dry burning the coil makes a huge improvement, IF I can get the chimney off I will try this first and see.

The Aspire ET something or other glass tanks give the best flavor I've had yet, but the attys get gunked easily, I may have solved that one though, when it starts tasting nasty just puff on it like crazy without inhaling the vapor a few times and the flavor clears right up. Kinda like you see someone getting a cigar going.

There are some people on the Fasttech thread that have used the Igos and the various Kayfuns. One of the guys from another country I think has both the original and a clone kayfun something. They now have a Kafun 3.1 too. Or is it a Russian. See, I get confused. Best to hit the Kayfun thread on here. They should know all the variations and what is good or a waste of time and money. Shek also just polished off a coop for a Russian 91% so check that thread. I think he may have talked about both there a while back when they were waiting for delivery. Or you could ask him.

That's interesting.

I really don't know about those two, while I have seen them discussed I haven't payed close attention since they are for more advanced rebuilders. Everyone I talk to uses cotton wicks that they make themselves, a few use peaches and cream yarn.

A few other tid bits I've picked up, the shape of the drip tip can change the flavor of the vape and the same juice can taste very different on different mods, we already know it is different on different tanks and clearos and drippers, but the shape of the mouthpiece on the drip tip was a surprise.

That's interesting.

When I read that about the Aspires and the puffing stuff I got a picture in my head of the level of juice going down like when you unplug a bathtub drain. Same picture I get in my head when I read about a lot of these RBAs. People saying they are going through 10-15mls of juice a day. Do I even want to go there? I am vaping Ahlusion juices now and I could not afford to go through juice at a rate like that. I would have to drip 24/7 for days to go through that much juice right now. Makes me think if I might be on the verge of opening up a can of worms or Pandora's Box.

The other thing I have picked up on with a lot of the people who use the RBAs is that a lot of them make their own juice and are vaping at a 6% nic or lower. And they tend to be vaping light clear flavors or fruity flavors. Not the thick sludgy stuff I like. Just a thought I have on this for myself. Need to do more reading.

I gotta get off this computer! Actually the info you've gotten has been extremely helpful. If anything, I'm relieved it's not just me that so much of this is confusing. FT just posted a new Kfun today. In some ways, it's not like buying a new mod so my patience for digging through years of threads is limited. I wish you did FB because this guy just posted about 20+ pics of various coils that were amazing. I guess there's even an octo coil (8 wicks). It's called the "utter" (parody?) for udder. Idk. I just want easy and working. When I talk to someone that is into coils, they get over my head and into stuff that I'm 99% sure is stuff I don't care about right now. Simple is better.

Someone say something about PJ's? I just looked at my reader and if ya don't mind men's, Think Geek.com has ZOMBIE pj's [URL="http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/11c7/?rkgid=1143455143&cpg=cj&ref=&CJURL=&CJID=358129[/URL] for $7 with codes;
Apply coupon code "GETITNAO" to get free shipping.
Apply coupon code "MERRYSHIRTMAS" to knock the price to $6.99

Good sales. I think tonight is the last night.
