Okay - Been away for the past week and stuck with very limited Interent access and using a Tablet/Smartphone most of the time. . . SO - Gonna stay out of some of the other discussions and even though I am a Little late to the Video Party I have 2 that I think might just bring a smile to a few peoples faces . . . The first:

Oh my goodness, Uncle. Thank you so much for posting that. You bring a tear to my eye and put a smile on my face. Shortly after Harvey Milk was assassinated and the Chorus started to do public performances I was lucky enough to be able to see them perform one of their first holiday shows. At the time I lived down on 24th and Delores in Noe Valley, a few blocks from Castro. They have always been quite delightful and provide a wonderful evening of entertainment. I had forgotten how much fun they were. Remember Halloween on Castro back in the late 70s? And Polk Street?

Yep I read Ocelot's blog before starting. :) I apparently missed the part about lower voltage though, I'll take care of that, might be why the nic buzz so quickly, but I think I was at about 3.6.

I'm vaping primarily 12 mg now with an occassional 18, but working toward 6, with the head rush from 12 it may be time for 6 already, I'll try some of my 6 that is steeping.

I don't have rda yet but getting ready to order the Igo L and some wire, my hands have stopped shaking completely now, which is a bonus from quitting that I didn't expect, so I am going to give coil making a try. I can't imagine that I can't do it now that hands are steady since I used to make jewelry and used quite a bit of coiled wire in that. Did a bit of gemstone wraps with SS wire as well that turned out quite well.
My only real question at this point is getting the kanger heads apart and back together without losing tiny pieces. I also have a full compliment of jewelry making tools, pliers, jigs, and the like.

There is a bit of breaking in to do with them. Start your dripping at a little lower voltage than you normally like for your juice. Drip there for a few hours and slowly raise the voltage. Take a couple of days to get the voltage up to where you want it. Brand new atty, put 4-5 drops in and wait a few minutes, then go with the 3 drops and vape. Ocelot has a good Blog post on dripping, for a beginning dripper. It is worth the read.

Whoa....... you must be a light weight and doing really well on your nic level. I keep dripping at my trusty 24mg. After 5 months about 1/2 my juices are 18 or 12mg, but my mainstay is still 24mg. Maybe that is why I do not sleep half the time.

Now I do read that once you go RBA you pretty much across the board have to cut your nic level quite a bit. I hear as much as in half or more. Since I do not have RBAs I can not say for sure, but that seems to be the consensus.

Your a baby. This song works better with strippers.

Disco was fun to dance to but it didn't take long before I got into punk; Echo and the Bunnymen, Souxsie, Martha and the Muffins, Chumbawamba, Ramones, Dead Kennedy's, Patti Smith, Nina Hagen, Lou Reed, The Residents ... <3

OMG!! I've never seen the video of that. I was in my late 20's early 30's during that time. Nine feet tall and bullet proof!! How times change. YMCA is one of my all time faves. Not familiar with the other groups mentioned but if it was popular in the 50s, 60s or 70s I probably know all the words and can "name that tune" within 2 bars of the music..

Geez Claudia. You sound like a natural for rebuilding. I found that the brief period that I worked with beads and beading that having a shallow lipped tray or pan that I had half bare and the other half with a piece of felt or something that prevented dropped itty bits from bouncing and rolling worked good for me. I also remember taking a dish towel and partially rolling it so my wrists were not resting on the hard lip of tray next to me. You probably have everything you need or know much better than I what you need from your jewelry making days. Sounds like you are in for some fun. Is s/o a tinkerer outside of cars? This may be just the thing to get him intrigued enough to take up vaping. Rebuilding sounds like it could be up his alley too, with winter here and all. You can fight over who gets what piece of wire or who wraps a better coil. :D

LOL, That is what was so frustrating, I knew it was right up my alley, but my hands were so shaky it just wouldn't have worked, my fine motor control of my fingers was nearly gone, but at least the shaking is gone now, don't know about the fine motor control yet, we'll see about that. I don't think coil making would be something to turn him on, he's great with rebuilding mechanical things though, he keeps my grooming clippers working nicely. He doesn't really have time for this right now though, he is elbow deep in tearing his motor apart and getting ready to build another in time for the opening of the season in March.

I do have that beading tray, thanks for reminding me, that would be just the ticket, now I just need all of the stuff to do it to, I do have a few ProTank heads and T3S heads that could stand a decent coil and cotton wick, now that is what I really need to learn a lot more about, the wicking on the kanger heads.

Thankfully my brain fog is lifting and I'm at least thinking about doing creative things again even if I'm not actually doing them yet.

I was born in '73 but I remember disco, 80's hair bands, 90's boy bands, but you guys would ALL hate the music I listen to these days. I got tired of telling DD to turn that crap down, so I started listening to her crap too. It's addicting!

We finished our lunch and now I need a nap! Got some nice slippers and a gift card for Subway, yippee! Have a great day everyone. . .

.. what kind of music does your daughter listen to? as long as its not rap (i dislike most rap) R&B (never got into it) or country (live in small town, country was forced upon me) i probally like it too.

saying current day electronic music counts as disco? ok then... off to find the video to test that theory...

I have heard the Gizmo works very well for making coils. Amazon.com: Artistic Wire Coiling Gizmo(R) Deluxe Winder for Jewelry Making: Arts, Crafts & Sewing

It's not very expensive and a lot of ppl are using Michael's etc. 50% off coupons to get the price down further. I have one but haven't tried it yet for doing rebuilding, but I don't see why it wouldn't work well. I'm sure there's threads on ECF and vids on YouTube about using it. I've even heard that some b&m shops are carrying them now and I've seen it at a least one online vendor, somewhere in my internet travels.

I have read many times about picking up Temco (?) wire really cheap on Amazon. All kinds of gauges. I think wicking there too. Go over to the kayfun lite rebuilding thread, or the micro coiling thread. I think those guys are the most experienced and into it people here. I am real interested in the micro coiling business. From what I read the coils can last for over a month and all you do is replace a tiny bit of cotton wick every so many mls or days. Here comes some fun and we want blow by blow updates once you get going. I am excited for you. Goody Goody!

I know this is not disco music, but I was so happy to see that Cat Stevens is getting into one of the music halls of fame. I loved his music back in the late 70s and I had two of his cassettes that I listened to the whole drive across the country in 1977 when I moved from CT to San Francisco when I was 21. Never forget his Father and Son and Morning Has Broken. Would post them but do not want to break form.
