The last year or so they seem to be about Jerry, I was afraid for a while it meant I was going to die soon and be with him again.

The Trident had reappeared, it was processed through Chattanooga about 4 hours ago so it should be here in the morning. :)

The mail is really far behind from Christmas, I am sure you will get your stuff this week.
I used to have dreams, not anymore so much. I hate vivd bad dreams, they shake you up and you don't get to rid yourself of them that easily. The worst are when you are falling.

yay!!! I'm impressed with you Claudia, you're much more daring than I. I'm starting to get excited about trying my hand at dripping, and later building coils for it. I hate watching youtube videos but I'm really not sure how to attach the coil. I guess I'll have to start watching/reading about it but I'm always afraid I'm going to do it wrong and break something.

Well I haven't tried it yet, lol. I do have a couple of coils here I can cheat and use, the guy who sent me the coil jig included 2 micros and one nano so I could see what they were supposed to look like, hey I only need one of those micros to compare my attempts with,

FT has pre-made coils that have great reviews. I liked that idea but it felt sorta like cheating. Who am I to judge? I agree, I love the look of the trident, almost enough to order + a stainless and gold mech to go with. Who cares if it works if it's pretty enough. Then I looked at the total. For now, rebuilding and mech's are off the list. I can't wait to see pics of what you've got going. That's gotta be exciting.

I used to get night terrors. They didn't fit the profile of nightmares because they didn't happen during REM sleep, but usually just as I was going to sleep. I felt like I was getting "pulled under" and I could not wake myself out of them. It was a whole bunch of different things, but they all felt like they were happening now. When I did wake up, everything felt liquidy, like I had survived something terrible. I was afraid to go to sleep. Pills seemed to make them worse. I haven't had one of those for years but I have to fall asleep almost by accident now; watching tv, reading, etc. 2 seconds after waking up, I wouldn't remember what happened either. All the cures for nightmares require remembering. I sure hope that's not what your experiencing.

hmm. my nightmares are mostly of wakingup to find my childs heart has stopped, or gave out, or he stopped breatthing. easy fix for me is to go put my hand near his mouth to check that he is breathing, or bring him into bed with me to sleep.

when you dream (good dreams) are they in color or black and white? and when you were growing up did you watch color tv or black and white?

i dream in color most of the time, but occasionally i will dream in black and white (i hardly dream, the ones i do remember mostly are premenitions of things to come). i grew up with color tv.

I've had premonitions. I usually don't talk about them. Usually I see myself doing something and I can't figure out what it is. They are pretty distinct, like I'm looking down, floating. Those I remember and I feel in control when they happen. I'll journal them, hair and eye colors, descriptions as best as I can. Then about 5 years later I'll realize, omg - this is what I saw. It's not good or bad, just weird. I've even described boyfriends and people I hadn't met yet. I don't even try to understand it. Knowing or not knowing would have changed nothing. It feels meaningless.

Oh my goodness. I was just typing a huge long reply and I pressed something ... and ZAP it's gone. POOP!

Well mostly, I wanted to say that I LOVE YOU FOLKS! The combination of life experiences, humor, the love of music and wisdom to use it to help us all through -- SO GREAT!

And thanks for all the welcomes -- I think it was only several days ago many of you said nice words, but HECK I've been trying to catch up reading the myriad of posts since then. You peeps let NO grass grow under your feet!

And Claudia -- you have poodles?? And you groom them yourself? BRILLIANT courage, my dear! I have 3 dogs 3 cats, one of my dogs is a standard poodle, she's 2 yrs old now and I can NOT summon the courage to try to groom her myself. I can't afford it but I pay a nice lady who really knows what she's doing to groom her for me.

I'm pretty new here so I'll wait a bit before sharing some of my life stuff, but I have been so touched by the stories of many of you, and can really identify with several of them :)

LOVE YOU FOLKS!

Marla, hi! Glad to see you are back and posting with us. I saw you in another thread talking about the Provari and different toppers and your hunt for juice you like. I have found that, for myself, it was relatively cheaper and easier to find a topper and juice I like first, before making the bigger purchases on the mods.

No mod, no matter how good it is is going to make a nasty juice taste better or a poor delivery system work better. Same with the toppers. Each one seems to have its own personality and fiddly things to learn about it. Lots of this stuff is trial and error.

If I remember correctly, you have an MVP2 and the iTaste vv3. Those are pretty good mods to give you a real good idea on how a topper setup and juice is going to work/taste for you. Just my 2 cents. I love that you are enjoying yourself so much here on ECF and love your vaping. It is fun, but all too easy to get caught up in the must have the next, best shiny thing or think that you have to try ALL the juices. I know I struggle with that end of it all the time.

It is pretty. LOL! I think the challenge is to get something pretty AND have it work well too. I have a sneaky suspicion that half of the mods ppl show off in the vape porn threads are more for looks than for vaping. What is the likelyhood that someone actually vapes 20 - 30+ mods with any regularity?

My issue was having something ready to go at all times. I'm not always at home or in a place to charge something up. I couldn't survive on 2 spinners, or just 2 batteries. Even with 4 ego-likes and 3 mods with 6 batteries I still can find everything dead at once. AAARRRGGGHHH! Then I have to make sure toppers are ready. That's easier because I can take one from something and put it on something else. I just hate it when everything needs charging at once.

You never want to look at my outlets.

Shari, I think you're right! ...it was relatively cheaper and easier to find a topper and juice I like first, before making the bigger purchases on the mods

I am in that "WOW OMG I WANT that, this, EVERYTHING" frenzy. And I really truly do not have the money to go there and do that, so I need to rein myself in and be smart. I get off into la-la land sometimes, watching reviews and U-Tube "vs" videos, and I forget that it's pretty important to organize the ole wish list.

The good news, though, is that after reading enough around here, and watching enough of those videos, I kinda figured out that I'm not ready to made a decision on a different mod. I realized that indeed you are right, I have 2 vv/vw devices, and that is more than enough to play with toppers until I figure out what's what.

With the various tanks/toppers/heads/wicks etc, I'm still very intimidated by even cleaning, let alone rebuilding. This is silly, I know. I used to be a bodyguard for abused women, for goodness' sake, nothing much scares me ... so I have NO idea why taking apart a little thingie and messing around with it just blows my mind! DOH! I think it's a bit of OCD/perfectionism -- if I'm not sure how to do it exactly right, I hesitate to try it at all. GOOFY!

So I have a little Tupperware dish of dirty heads, and maybe it would be wise to lay in a supply of a few more for my ProTank IIs and my IClear30s -- then take the plunge on getting myself squared away on cleaning and replacing those (I can replace them ok, but I'm out of new ones! Gotta learn to clean the old ones!) And understanding a little better how they work, including making some of the minor modifications that people mention when there is gurgling/leaking etc with those toppers.

I ordered some 50/50 juice recently that will be here in a week or two, and I think I need to learn to remove those extra wicks as some say is needed for the thicker juices.

You're right though, it IS so exciting, and I'm so delighted to have this new affection for a whole new world of goodies that keeps me far too absorbed to ever think of smoking cigarettes.

BY THE WAY.... when I used to have money, I collected antique fountain pens. People use to say "funny" things about women who love fountain pens (no IDEA why) ... have we had a good look at our mods, lately, ladies?? LOL :))

Marla,

On cleaning--super duper easy. Just dunk them in some cheap vodka or everclear for 15 minutes to 1/2 hour, then rinse and let dry. Sometimes I'll boil them after as well. I also wil sometimes will pull the chimney off the head (evod and protank), carefully lift the top wick off with tweezers, and dry burn the coil until the wick is white (I can give details on dry burning--also really easy) and then replace the top wick and chimney. I haven't replaced 10 heads in 2 months doing this. Saves quite a bit of $$ on buying replacements.

I'm a fountain pen fanatic too. Actually just raised on them and not giving them up. I can't get used to ball point, gels, rollers, etc. I've got about 50 and most need rebuilding. That WAS going to be my project before vaping came into my life.

NO KIDDING, aikanae? that's incredible! Come to think of it, the process of working on rebuilding old fountain pens is probably in many ways similar to rebuilding-etc PVs. One must want to and enjoy tinkering, have a lot of patience, and be into discerning performance evaluation.

I LOVE my fountain pens :) I have managed to keep quite a few, and what I love about them is USING them. I was raised on them too, and really enjoy the process of writing. Really hard to find a way to do it these days, with the world of email and so on for communication. Journaling is one way. But ya know, ink colors are like e-liquid flavors! I have an entire antique library-card-file cabinet devoted to my inks. HMMMM. Would be good for e-liquids too!
