Remember the Ed Sullivan Show or some of the old Johnny Carson shows when they would have the guy on that would spin all the plates on a stick? How he would be running from one to another to keep them all spinning. That is how I feel sometimes with all the charging and steeping of juices and toppers. How to keep up with it all?

My issue was having something ready to go at all times. I'm not always at home or in a place to charge something up. I couldn't survive on 2 spinners, or just 2 batteries. Even with 4 ego-likes and 3 mods with 6 batteries I still can find everything dead at once. AAARRRGGGHHH! Then I have to make sure toppers are ready. That's easier because I can take one from something and put it on something else. I just hate it when everything needs charging at once.

You never want to look at my outlets.

that is a great analogy to this process adding in the cost of it to keep it spinning!

Finding paper has been my nemesis. Everything is this super crappy asorbant inkjet stuff that nothing glides over. Even day planners use that stuff - including the expensive ones. The most tolerable I've found is (believe it or not) stupid index file cards. That's what I carry for a sketch book anymore. Anytime I have to sit and wait, I pull out a 4x6 wire bound index file card pack, a trusty japanese fountain brush pen and have at it. I can't write without flex nibs. Anything else feels scratchy and skips (because I try to flex it). I destroyed 2 Targa's because of that. I could cry now. At the time they were cheap. Are you on the forum at fountain pen network?

NO KIDDING, aikanae? that's incredible! Come to think of it, the process of working on rebuilding old fountain pens is probably in many ways similar to rebuilding-etc PVs. One must want to and enjoy tinkering, have a lot of patience, and be into discerning performance evaluation.

I LOVE my fountain pens :) I have managed to keep quite a few, and what I love about them is USING them. I was raised on them too, and really enjoy the process of writing. Really hard to find a way to do it these days, with the world of email and so on for communication. Journaling is one way. But ya know, ink colors are like e-liquid flavors! I have an entire antique library-card-file cabinet devoted to my inks. HMMMM. Would be good for e-liquids too!

I started out with a Great Dane puppy I was going to show, went to a pet shop to get a show lead for him and the shop owner introduced me to one of the groomers who showed Irish Setters. We became fast friends and I would go visit her while she worked, I was a hairdresser so I had hair skills, one day I asked her if she would teach me to groom. After I had been grooming a couple of years I got my first Poodle and have had them ever since. So for me the grooming came before the Poodles, I haven't groomed a standard in many many years though, just too much real estate for this old body, mine are minis.

My dreams are neither good nor bad, they are just clips of life situations, not any I have actually lived. Sometimes they are bad and never have actually happened, both are so vivid that they leave me shaken and I remember them in detail forever. Sometimes just really weird, like the wagon train happening in modern times and heading back east, or a red spider that grows until the boards break in the house, like a Steven King story.

I have had premonitions as long as I can remember and they are never ever good ones. I have done a lot of work to stop them because they are usually so horrible I would rather not see those things happen more than once, they are never anything I could do anything about either.
Most of mine have been in relation to auto racing, I have seen terrible crashes happen a day or two before they happen and then see them happen exactly as I had seen hours or a day before. I have seen many drag racing explosions before they happen as well, those usually minutes before they happen. Like I said things I can do nothing about and I'd rather not know in advance ty.

Oh my goodness. I was just typing a huge long reply and I pressed something ... and ZAP it's gone. POOP!

Well mostly, I wanted to say that I LOVE YOU FOLKS! The combination of life experiences, humor, the love of music and wisdom to use it to help us all through -- SO GREAT!

And thanks for all the welcomes -- I think it was only several days ago many of you said nice words, but HECK I've been trying to catch up reading the myriad of posts since then. You peeps let NO grass grow under your feet!

And Claudia -- you have poodles?? And you groom them yourself? BRILLIANT courage, my dear! I have 3 dogs 3 cats, one of my dogs is a standard poodle, she's 2 yrs old now and I can NOT summon the courage to try to groom her myself. I can't afford it but I pay a nice lady who really knows what she's doing to groom her for me.

I'm pretty new here so I'll wait a bit before sharing some of my life stuff, but I have been so touched by the stories of many of you, and can really identify with several of them :)

LOVE YOU FOLKS!

I've been having issues with my computer overheating. I've had 5 thermal shutdowns in the last 3 days! I finally went to Office Depot today and got a $55 laptop cooling pad. So far so good.

Dreams: I don't have any that I remember. How boring is that?

It's very very rare for me to remember a dream. Usually it's when I've fallen back to nod-land after hitting the snooze button, and I can only remember it for a second. I do have some pretty scary experiences in the middle of the night, waking up panting and sweating with heart racing and sometimes crying, but cannot remember why. No bueno.

Laughed so hard at Carol Burnett with the shotgun! Love her. Thanks for these wonderful memories, ladies!

Gotta go clean a 5 year old, not as easy as it sounds. She's taken to "I hate baths" so now it involves all the hot water in the water heater, every bath toy known to man, and bubbles that take forever to rinse out. My poor septic tank. . .

Hey Marla, stick around, we really want to hear about those life experiences, but no pressure!

What is a laptop cooling pad? I have not heard of one. Does it seem to be working? My laptop will run the fan for longer than I like if I have it on all day and into the night.

A laptop cooling pad goes underneath your laptop and has a fan or two that blow upward to cool off the laptop. My fan would run almost constantly for hours and then the screen would go black and shut down without warning. I had my laptop propped up with pop caps on each of the corners for a long time, but recently even that didn't help. They have cooling pads of all sizes and prices. I got one of the more expensive ones because I was having such a problem.

Also clean the vents, dust accumulates, they have to be clean for air flow

That is very true. Guess what I found underneath my laptop when I lifted it to clean the vents yesterday? Yep...cigarette ashes! Unfortunately, even after I cleaned them out my laptop was still overheating. :(
