Here's another fav. To me it's all about support.

Anggun is from Indonesia and trained in traditional dance since 4. She's huge everywhere but the US. Instead the song has been redone by several "approved" (I guess) singers.



IMO the restriction on world music amounts to "censorship". Anggun has become a strong advocate for ending world poverty and hunger, also a controversial topic in the US.

This one of the issues I have with over-produced and promoted US music.

I liked the last two very much,
Maybe the US doesn't allow because it's one of the only industries in the US that does well, not allowing imports to reduce the money nade here.
