I get it Shari, and you found what works for you which is great! you have hit and month and still going strong. If I have them I will smoke them, and even though I am thinking about cigs a lot right now I can honestly say in the past 4 days it has never crossed my mind to stop and pick up a pack so I think I am doing pretty good. and you were so right, seeing that banner on my posts is very cool, it's definitely motivation to keep it up and to keep seeing those numbers climb.
I think I do better when there are none in the house. When they are here they call to me ... it's that same plaintive cry that I used to hear from the Cheese Cake in the middle of the night.

Greetings and salutations. Thank you so much for a thread like this....... now that i said I want to get things off my chest that have been gnawing at me for a long time now. When you read this i want you to know that yes it sounds stranger then fiction but it has actually happened. This post is going to come off really strong and may offend some, but there is more to this story that i really do not care to elaborate on. There are going to be spelling mistakes...please look past those....i am horrid at typing and using firefox with linux right now there is no built in spell check
It never cease's to amazing me how when someone has a problem and vaping is not working for them, the issue is quietly swept under the rug and the offender is "muscled" out of the community......being it dragging their name through the mud, or going through months to a year old in posts just so as you can give them a warning....a good case and point is....how many times do you see (where vaping is being discussed) the topic of juice allergies? Again it is hushed and swept under the rug.
Before someone wants to try and debunk this, you should note that i go for regular check ups with the doctor and he knos fully my e-cigarette use (at the time)....and after a year + of straight e-cigarette use i suddenly ran into problems like horrid sleep apnea...even waking apnea....yes i would litterllay be sitting at my desk working and stop breathing (comforting huh?).
It was not more then three days AFTER i went to see the Doc and again he said my lungs where a little funky but it was the final push to get the cigarettes out (bare in mind i was a smoker for 25 years)..odd....but all right..I mean there was no warning it was going to happen......that day seemed to go great.....I was actually able to lay down as well with no issue and get some sleep......but when i wake up and i am having a mild heart attach and with testing they find out it was do to e-cigarettes......and through mot a healthy alternative,.....i should go back to smoking i tend to follow the Doc's advice.
I sold off my gear (except for two ego batteries one of which will not charge, and a vivi nova tank). I went as far as emailing one popular vaping show host and to my amazement that too was swept under the rug.....why? well how dare there be something negative said about e-cigarettes.
Now i am not pointing the finger at any one (either in particular expressed or implied), I am not hoping to scour the forums for a PIF (lord knows i send way more then my fair share of those and got stung, and the one time i went to collect one got stung again), i am here getting things off my chest that yes.....it is very real AND very clear that for some e-cigarette use does NOT work......then more this comunity as a whole tries to sweep it under the rug the more it is going to come back and bite then hard in the
Honestly i hardly hang around ECF due to the reason mentioned above and and even though as i write this i am trying to ignore the call of the cigarettes at the store.....why? Because somethimes i wounder what went wrong......and hey i loved going to emerg so much why not try this thing caled vaping again.....after all it is clearly all in my head with what happened......right? Well that and i am amazed that if you are not out there being a commenter on the vaping show(s), if you are not here in ECF raving and talking about how you cannot get the latest gear that everyone tells you to get then you are a free thinking and that means......~gasp~ you are the dreaded "ant"
Either way i stopped by on y way to play a mech 'role play' on second life and seen the Op had made a thread like this, so as much as i hate to say it i thought it was the best spot to rant and get things out in the open, PLUS tell the Op that they have some real brass tax for starting a thread like this and i admire that.

Good morning all. Unfortunately I missed all the fun yesterday...again. I had to work afternoons and then ended up being stuck working midnights as well when my relief called off...again. I've never met a more talkative bunch, but I love it!
Welcome to the fold, Karen. We are a core group of people just like you, who've had one helluva time giving up the cigarettes. We are all in various stages of the journey and have each other's backs. You are NOT a failure. You just haven't found total success yet, and may not. There's no rush. It will happen when it happens...or not. Don't beat yourself up, just do what you can do when you can do it.

So sorry to hear about your struggle with vaping, health and with people. I'd like to delve deeper if you'd be open to talking about this here. One thing has my brow furrowed though, and I am not casting aspersion on smokers/smoking--I have to wonder about your doc actually advising, in any capacity, taking up smoking again. Can't say that feels right to me. But, if you decided that on your own, more power to you. But taking a doc's advice to smoke, that's a bit different, if not just foreign to me.

Thank you for stopping by and I am glad that you were able to get that off your chest. It is something you needed to do and this was a safe place to do that. I am very sorry for what you went through. I am not going to offer you platitudes and oh, try it again, etc.
You need to do what is right for you and your health. Nothing works for everyone. This obviously did not work for you. I am sorry for that. It does work for me. I am lucky and do not have the PG or other allergies I read about here. So far, so good for me. I smoked 2 pad for 45 years and am now cigarette free. And this thread is the main reason why.

Actually I had hoped that one in the evening would help me show down the vaping a bit so I could sleep better, until I can get some really low nic juice. I did vape less last night but I didn't sleep any better.

Besides, I was distracted ALL DAY yesterday with new vapegear. It was easy!BTW, currently vaping Read Headed .... from Good Life Vapor. Soooo delicious. I'm told the 'Read Headed ....' is an alcoholic mixed drink that's very popular in bars, but I don't drink, so I had no idea!
