I am curious. It seems that the vaping community as a whole has concerns about diacetyl (among other things) in liquids. Several juice vendors advertise D-free liquids (Fuzion, virgin vapor, others), yet it seems that they generally only offer select flavors without the chemicals. Same thing with the DIY flavor vendors. So my question is, does diacetyl really add that much flavor benefit? Otherwise, you would expect the companies to simply substitute the safer options. I mean, what with the history of lawsuits (like the tobacco class actions, for example), you'd think they would be at least looking at it in terms of tort protection (otherwise known as CYA, cover yo ...). So, the only reasonable conclusion I can think of is that the products without must not perform (taste) as well, leaving consumer demand for the stuff made with Diacetyl. The main reason I am wondering is that I do intend to DIY in the near future, and two of my favorite liquids have cream flavoring in them.
