Until I am no longer a member of ECF ( which should be soon as I have requested all of my posts, threads, help threads, and tutorials on modding for the past 6 years be deleted or closed and my account be closed) I will provide information that effects vaping. These articles, of many, may be beneficial to read. I am surprised nobody here who keeps you all up to date has mentioned it. I offer this as a pro-active and positive attempt to inform you about changes with Apple apps banning e-cigarettes apps. Others here will say it is a negative post and that I'm Bashing Yihi which is crap, but hey you can decide as these articles do not single out Yihi... just a heads up for you guys...a public service announcement. Other reasons that Apple (iOS) is to ban e- cig software apps is that they advertise and sell within the app which Yihi is set up to do if you know how to operate the app.... What does this do to bluetooth?

Purchasing that Boxer Yihi550 mod may be ill advised. It's a light mod, indeed, made from 3D printed nylon, which has one caveat: read a few complaints of a drop cracking the body. Also, there's a video on youtube showing that they dye their mods rather than used colored nylon, and every day wear causes the color, particularly black, to rub off. I'm not certain if these allegations are all true, just stating what I've seen.

I have an early boxer with the 350 j chip. the mod it self held up well but the 510 is loose. I got tired of the battery sled tearing up my batteries insulation. the last time I used it, it shorted my battery. in the junk box it went to never see the light of day again.

You really requested all your crap deleted? lol
SORRY TO HIJACK THIS THREAD BUT I SELDOM RANT SO CONSIDER THIS A RANT ......MY POSTS ARE NOT CRAP..... SURELY YOU ARE EDUCATED ENOUGH TO KNOW WHAT CRAP IS....You may be smarter than me and have figured out how to use crap as typing tool.

Yep I requested all of my very relevant information, tutorials, help guides, modding tutorials with step by step pictures and etc. deleted or locked down so they cannot be seen or read and also asked that my account be closed .... Most of the old timers that also spent countless hours over the past 6 or more years doing the same volunteer and documentation work have almost all left ECF also except for about one or two now. My work and their's was not crap but hostility toward them and me by folks like some in this thread was the cause of them no longer willing to put up with the crap, verbal abuse, and personal attacks as shown in this thread and others. Those who abused them and me mostly have very little extensive knowledge and spend little to no time helping others work thru issues as they only want to tell everybody how perfect a device is and bully those who do point out things that may need to be addressed or updated only to make the device better.. They played a large part in the evolution of vaping over the past 6 years. When they started vaping the only devices were small mec mods with very small batteries and for the most part a cartomiser that held less than 1 ml of liquid. You are reaping the benefits of the progress that these folks helped bring about. How much time do you spend helping and testing, finding flaws and following thru with them till they are fixed or determined not to be an issue. That is part of the process that brings new and better vape gear?

So you see.... ECF used to be the go-to place to talk with those who were able and willing to volunteer their time helping others with devices, modding, troubleshooting almost anything vape related. I know I am ranting but personally I now don't give a dam.... Posts just like yours and folks like you and others in this thread who don't want to hear any con's (things that may need to be addressed) ( the very definition of a "fanboy thread") are the very reason most of the old timers and very knowledgable ones have left. I have and still communicate with them as we all just went to other forums and spend our time and effort there helping others. I have a longer fuse than most but my fuse is lit and I'm one of the last to leave here because ECF has meant much to me and the Admin's and Mod's and a lot of ECF members are great folks.

So yes I'm leaving ECf and yes I asked that all my posts , threads, tutorials, modding how-to threads, and etc. be locked down, deleted, and they will just fade into history.

I wish you all well but will no longer take your bullying, crap talk, personal attacks, and etc. You will need to find some other kind souls that want to help others and wants to do a small part to improve vaping and you can start bullying them.

Rant complete... enjoy your fan-boy thread....

To Classy and Missy, J0ker, and the rest of the guys and gals here in ECf I apologize for my rant and for being so blunt but that is now off my chest.

I want to ask @HandsomeStan and @Hyperspace to consider taking the time to fully learn, fully test each feature, every possible issue that others may have, identify every flaw and contact Yihi so they can look at it and update as needed, help new vapers learn every feature, setting, every issue that they may have and be willing to spend the time and effort to help them. You will also need to research every new device and software so you can keep up to date and be ahead of the learning curve so you can help others. Just saying "I own one" doesn't equate to fully being qualified to do all the things just mentioned. The old timers took the time and put in the effort for years to really be able to help until they had enough of the crap such as was/is prevalent in this thread and they left ECf or quit helping others.

To the Moderators:
I know I have broken many ECF rules with this single post and will fully understand should I be banned from ECf. I asked to have my account closed and all my posts and threads deleted or closed so they are no longer available and will fade into history. Being banned will not upset me nor change the fond memories of ECF.... And to J0ker, a special thanks for allowing me to assist ECF in areas that can't be mentioned here but you know what I'm talking about..

@HandsomeStan....... FYI I e-mailed Yihi SX Mini G about taking the faceplate off to install a screen protector for the display. I asked you if this would void the warranty and you replied that is a good question to ask.....

As I said I e-mailed Yihi several questions from comments in this thread. I just got a reply about taking off the faceplate.

Quote:

Dear (omitted my real name):

Thank you for your email.
Really sorry that if you do that, it will out of warranty dear. Sorry to tell you about this.
Kind regards!
Cherry

You might want to retract edit, or delete your post so nobody will do what you did and void their warranty.... you voided your I guess....

There is a thin line between listing cons and just whining. The way you word your posts @retird is just so whiny that is grows annoying.

I don't know you personally and don't own a G class but found myself glossing over your posts after awhile. You don't own a G Class either so your mini rants threw the thread off track.

It seems unanimous that people grew tired of your posts in this thread. Now is it all if us or maybe you need do some reflecting?

update on my situation:

I tested the device for 2 days now with the bleutooth set to "off" and the problem hasn't reappeared. So I'm fairly certain it is related to the bleutooth.
I got a response from Yihi, and they are also leaning towards the bleutooth to be the issue. They don't neccesarily see this as a fault (?) but did offer to replace it, while I don't agree that this isn't a problem I appreciate that they are willing to replace it.
For now I have decided to keep a good look on the device to see if the problem really went away, and if so I'll just keep it.

@kiba, tell them to, y'know...turn bluetooth off...

I'm not sure how to reset it to factory settings...probably with it plugged in to a laptop or something.
yeah, it's weird though, apparently every time you do that or try unpairing and removing it, it will unpair from his iPad and pair back up with her iPhone when Bluetooth is on and in range.

I tried looking at it but the Bluetooth settings on the iPhone are a mess. It's like dingus mode, for people without thumbs.

This is what you get for being too excited about your new device to wait till you got home.

Yep, I gloss over posts too. Funny that others were the ones who mentioned the con's (things needing to possibly be updated and I posted that it needs to be added to the list for updated but the Internet bully's here didn't see it that way. That's fine... They are within their right to post their thoughts and so am I. So that wasn't whining but hey we all have opinions.... Hopefully some of you guys have sent e-mails to yihi about them.... I have.....it's one thing to mention an issue but yet another to take the time to try to help get it resolved.

I respond to your post even tho your post thew this thread off track....

I've been thinking about your problem. If you turn Bluetooth back on and your screen stays dimly lit and drains your batteries, that to me is a problem. It could be just yours or that the G needs an update. If someone else that has one would be willing to turn their Bluetooth on, you could see if it's just yours or everyone's. If it was just mine, I would get it replaced. Just a thought. Something doesn't sound quite right and it would bother me until I found out one way or the other.

PS Since it not a cheap device, I would probably just get it replaced unless I knew for a fact all of them exhibited this behavior and it was going to be addressed in a firmware update. :toast:

Cheers,
Steve

I turned bluetooth on, paired it with my 7plus, played around with that minimalistic app, turned it off but left bluetooth on. The screen is completely dark...I don't see anything on it whatsoever and after nearly 3 hours, the batteries have not discharged at all. (freshly charged vtc5a installed)

edit: if mine had that (what would appear to be in your case) current leaking issue, possibly from a faulty bluetooth board, I would exchange it, personally, to err on the side of caution.
