Trust me, you underestimate my research. (although I'd still like to remain humble about it) I didn't apply myself much at all in school. Growing up I thought of school as a "bad" institution designed to pump out programmed minds. I would come home from school and spend my entire day, into the night, and OFTEN until time to get ready for school, researching philosophy, ego, mind, phychology, politics, religion, art, etc. etc. So, I can empathise and understand what you mean by being lost in thought and it being a complete shock that can take over your emotion and your mind and disallow your thinking of anything else for long periods of time. I have practiced altered and unaltered introspection and even meditation and I too believe in unaltered more so than I believe in altered states of meditation. I completely agree that after prolonged exposure to philosophical thought, and research into different philosophies, you can lose ground and get lost, and it DOES become a perminant thing. I am still lost and I don't think there is any going back to normality at a certain point. My beliefs are different than the average human for the rest of my life and I don't have a big problem with that at all. I've experienced Ego death on psychedelics as well. I spent a night in the hospital, with my mother by my side the whole time, outside of my body. My life was devoted to introspection, research, ego perception, psychonautics. Psychonautics does not pertain to the use of psychedelics, but rather introspection into the mind, and philosophical and psychological exploration. The root word being psycho, or, psychosis, speaks for itself. If you choose to research into the mind, the ego, the universe and all it's greatest philosophical minds and ideas, you wont be the same person as your neighbor, or as you were before you did so. Also, living in the moment is a great pheat and I definitely recommend anyone reading this research and try it themselves. Recommended Reading: The Power of Now by Echheartd Tolle. I know, I know, if anyone reading this is into this type of thing, The Power of Now is not necessarily the greatest book, more of the HYPE and fashion of the true power of now than.. The true power of now, haha.. But, it will get your foot in the door and set your path in the right direction. Its a beautiful book.
