In 5 years I'll be 67. Five years doesn't seem so long any more.
There's lots of people here about the same age.
Hopefully, I'll be retired and puttering around the house, and not too deep into the nic supply.

At first I thought that the coin ripped off the hardware, but after some research discovered that the meme existed before either one.
I've been vacuum sealing with some added desiccant packs for those mods I'm considering long term storage...
If your planning on any measure of long term storage for anything with an internal battery it won't store as long and would need to also be vacuum sealed with desiccant packs, but you have to store those in the freezer.
OLEDs are their own light source; they don't use back-lights. My experience is they degrade the most with use (leaving them on) and less (but still a bit) in storage.
Here's a couple of chargers with OLED displays, both purchased in 2014. Pic is ~2 years old.
The one on the left had been in storage as a spare/backup for ~5 years. The one on the right had been used much of that time and left plugged in / powered up for a good portion of that time. Pic was taken in low ambient lighting conditions; what it doesn't show is that the one on the left is so dim that it can no longer be read in normal daylight conditions.
I have an eleaf Pico 75W that's seen heavy use. It's 5 years old now but when it was 4 years old I realized that the screen was dimmer than normal. About half intensity. But it still works like a charm and doesn't seem to be getting worse. No idea when it really started to dim and for all I know it could have happened on one of the few hundred times I dropped it.
I have mods that are old than it and none have dimmed screens as far as I can tell.
I have about 14 that are still boxed & cellophane wrapped. They're duplicates Aegis Solos, Vaporesso Gens, Asmodus Colossals & Minikin Reborns, Aegis X and Swag II. I know should have opened to test but I was more concerned with meeting, what was then, the 3/27/21 deadline. If I don't open those, I suppose there's nothing gained by an additional vacuum seal but I do have others that I opened to look at and will use just to see how I like and then put away. Thanks for the info, I'll seal those. As far as internal batts, I don't think I have any for long term storage but I had no idea they should go in the freezer.
Oh I have many I haven't even tested, your not alone there! Figure if they work when the package is opened they do, if not: then oh well, I'll just go on with life. Haha
Besides, if in the future someone needs a mod that I am able to provide, then an unopened box is just nicer than one that's been opened.
In 5 years I will still be trying to get the phone scammers to extend the warranty on my 96 Ford truck and enjoying my apple pie or my cheesecake vape.
In 5 yrs, I'll be rummaging thru my supplies looking for X item, muttering to myself saying, I know I bought that, where is it!??? LOL

in 5 years hopefully all this current bs and stupidity will be over and the us government will stop being idiots and finally admit that vaping is a form of NRT
one can hope anyways, or at least quit with all of these idiotic restrictions making it harder for people to actually be able to quit smoking
as for myself, who knows where I'll be in 5 years but vape wise I'll be ok, I got enough mesh strips and cotton to last me a life time or two and enough nic to last apparently a good 18 years so I mean aside from new batteries I should be ok for a good long while. Bought a mod or two every year for the past 10 years, picked up a handful of my favorite rdas...so yeah I'm good for a while
but it's not making it easy for me to convert smokers

Being a non expert,if any problem when first opened arise.the unit will not turn on.my guess is one in a 100,000.

Do not put electronics in any refrigerator!Not sure if there is anyone rougher on mods than me.
That sounds like 20 years worth of mods to me(easily)
I've read freezing internal battery mods keeps them longer as it help a preserve battery life..
Have you read differently?
I would not store international battery's at all.
The time started on them when they were born.
IMHO edit to add....have read or made it up , battery's are best stored 50 to 55 degrees.

In short: no. While cold environments help maintain battery life, refrigerators and freezers are not safe to put batteries in. The moist environment will cause condensation on the batteries. This in turn will lead to rust or other damage. Avoid putting batteries under extreme temperatures at all times.

There is virtually no self-discharge below about 4.0V at 20C (68F); storing at 3.7V yields amazing longevity for most Li-ion systems. Finding the exact 40–50 percent SoC level to store Li-ion is not that important. At 40 percent charge, most Li-ion has an OCV of 3.82V/cell at room temperature. To get the correct reading after a charge or discharge, rest the battery for 90 minutes before taking the reading. If this is not practical, overshoot the discharge voltage by 50mV or go 50mV higher on charge. This means discharging to 3.77V/cell or charging to 3.87V/cell at a C-rate of 1C or less. The rubber band effect will settle the voltage at roughly 3.82V.
It's also my understanding freezing can destroy your screens, cause them to fail.
