I'm a grossly over-educated obnoxious bahstahd who has been described as being "difficult to approach" by more people than I can count.
For reasons that nobody understands my wife loves me dearly... as does my child (but she'll grow out of it!).

Whatever I can see threw your wall... I see flowers and kittens and children playing ring around the rosses...
However the flowers are dead, somone cut the kittens heads off... and ring around the rosses actually refers to the black plague in the 1400's...

Amazing mod! I find a great way to cut a perfect silicon plug is to first just cut around the parameter as close to the edge while on the cart. Then hold the cart down pressing on the silicon can cut around the edge.
The Hole:
I use a Pen tip and press out a hole in the center. So far works perfectly!

Being a fairly avid fisherman I can tell you that almost all companies now are using scented oils in there lures, and even if when they say silicone I doubt its 100% well as the quality we are looking for as far as heat resistance. That is also another reason why I would not be inclined to use baby bottle nipples. We need something that is 100% known materials and heat resistant.

Not a lot to report. I tried the pencil thing, since I'm such an artard at cutting with the razor blade, and got a perfect fit the first time. I went from butchering to perfection in one step. I was pretty shocked
I'm also using these silicone bowls that I found at Wal-Mart. The silicone is about twice as thick as a cap so I'm going to need to shorten my straw a little. I just drilled a hole in the middle by the way. I was afraid that a cut line may open up over time.
It does seem to work, but I wouldn't trust in for all situations. The ADM with the plastic wedge seems to be more reliable and fits my needs best. Here's how the no fill cart is coming across. The vape is pure ecstasy. Seriously, flavor and vapor out of this world. About half way through I get a gurgling sound. This means flooding, but I can still seem to vape. It hasn't effected that at all. Then after a while the gurgle goes away and it's back to vaping again. Weird. There's not a lot of control of flow, like the ADM. It seems to just poor it on. Also, since there's a straw in the middle that you're basically filling up I get about 8 drops. Maybe the best approach for this mod is to only use about 6 drops. That way you never really get in over your head.
Pulling out the silicone plug and putting it back in with a paper clip is a breeze through.

So I went out and bought 100% pure silicon sealant.
I am thinking the ideal plug is going to be thick enough to rest on the 510 ledges, with no straw or spring, or any other thing. And then you can pretty much hollow it out from underneath in a sort of cone shape. And at the top you have left a thin membrane with just a small hole that your atomizer bridge can snuggle right down through.
Should be perfectly sealed at that point, able to hold all the liquid it could ever hold, be easy to take out and put back in, never leak, and keep the atomizer bridge in juice at all times.
So I am going to pour some of the silicon sealant into a cartridge cap, to the right depth to make sure it will sit on the 510 cartridge ledges. Then I am going to shove my empty cartridge down into the cap so that when it dries I can pull it out again and have my silicon plug.
Now all I need is to figure out how to hollow it out from underneath.
Feel free to get this done before me, as I am lazy and don't really care enough.

As soon as I get my 801 carts and atty's in I will be getting 100% silicone with a high heat rating from lowes and some wax paper. I will then make several thicknesses of 'puddles' just a bit bigger then the 801 carts, let set until a thin film forms over the 'puddle' and press the cart onto it and let it fully cure. After that I will subject it to high heat, most likely with a lighter and wash the result thoroughly to make sure all the wax is off.
If the result sticks to the sides of the cart I will cut a + or * in it with a tiny bit of one corner missing (this is what I got to be the best result with a 510 cart) and fill with a syringe. If it doesn't stick then a straw will be used same as the original idea. It will be a while before I receive the 801 stuff in the mail so anyone who has or is willing to try a similar method (with any type of cart) please feel free to let us know the results.

Take a used cart and cut it in half.... then use that on your "puddles".... or in the cap filled with silicone.
After it is cured you can push the plug out from the backside with the end of a Q-tip. The residual PG or VG on the inner walls of the cap lubricate it enough so the silicone doesn't stick very well.
This has worked well for me.. I've done it 4 or 5 times already.

With any luck.... I won't have any dead 801 atty's... you think it would be all right to skip that step and use a slit or x cut? If not what would be good to protect the atty? plastic wrap?
If you wait for the silicone to "skin" it won't hurt the atty in any way. I just used a dead atty because.. well.. I had one.
Just picked up 100% silicone whilst shopping for paint and crap for the house I just bought. 1 of the tubes will reseal the shower in this place I am renting until the end of the month, so only 1 small tube to work with. If I can get going on it, then I might buy a lifetime supply and a new dedicated calk-gun?

3) What are we going to use to keep the plug up at the bridge, if we square the back? A straw?
I have been using an asterisk-hole hybrid, and it works flawless MOST of the time with the cap-plug.

How did you do yours cadbomb? Did you use a pen hole, the X the * or something else. I want to give this a try. I will be getting my starter kit today but perhaps in a few days I can give this a go. I'm getting the 510.
