I haven't been active for a very long time because i had gone back to my stinky habit again.
Probably because of the place that i am staying doesn't allow the sales of E-ciggy.
Recently, i have noticed that the people around me have started using small little pen device or some called it a Kit & close pod system whatever so. What i seen is just an ordinary device similar to my very first vape pen over a decade ago. Until I managed to get hold of my friend's RELX device and immediately i know what i'm looking for. Everything is so simplified, popped in the juice cartridge and start smoking like a cigarette! And I don't even need to press or hold any switch?! The best part of this device is so small and handy that can easily hidden under the radar of the place I stay but of course the disadvantage is that the cartridges cannot be refill and is costly. Anyway, for someone lazy like me, it should be perfect.

I have googled search a few brands with similar product specification and out of nowhere Bold Vape Lite caught my attention. Have anyone tried and review its product yet? How is the e-juice and build qualities? Because it's only cost $28 for set of kit and 5 cartridges? Dirt cheap compared to my friend's Relx!! Attached is how the package look like. Trust me and google it yourself. Anyway the cost is so low, I think no harm trying and I will update you guys again soon. Meantime, stay safe and healthy everyone

These tests below only note my personal ESTIMATED ratings for the batteries I tested at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, or Sanyo can change at any time! This is one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of property damage, personal injury, or even death. They are not supposed to be used outside of a fully protected battery pack and you use them at your own risk. Never exceed the battery’s true continuous current rating and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.




Test Results
This cell is a decent performer and its 18A rating seems reasonable. It performs almost as well as the Samsung 30Q down to about 3.1V. At voltages lower than this the R30 could run for a bit longer than the 30Q.

The Vapcell R30 runs hotter than the Samsung 30Q so if you are running these cells continuously I recommend staying below 10A for long cell life.

One of the R30 cells had some corrosion/rusting at the top. In my opinion this means the cell was exposed to some moisture at some point in storage. This doesn’t have to affect safety or performance but it’s never a good thing.

The two cells I tested delivered 3041mAh and 3047mAh. This is fantastic consistency and exceeds this cell’s 3000mAh rating.

RPM restyling of the species:
Smok is also very active in the "Aio Starter Kit" sector and in addition to presenting completely new devices in terms of style and design, it often places on the market continuous evolutions of previous products (as in this case). So for Smok RPM4 we are absolutely talking about a pure and simple restyling exercise.

RPM4 is the natural evolution of the original RPM40 project subsequently improved with the introduction of the RPM2 device which boasted a system with adjustable AFC, different coils and specific pods.

The first sensations when handling the new RPM4 are those of a more refined device in terms of materials and appearance but which does not upset the original principle of some technical solutions of the RPM line such as; the side refill or the flattened spout. These solutions in other new and non-restyled models from Smok, have been extensively revised and improved and in some cases have indicated the way forward for several manufacturers of competing brands.



Smok RPM 4 Feeling:
The form factor and the compactness of the RPM4 as anticipated closely resembles that of the progenitor RPM40 but is much lighter than other interpretations such as the RPM2 or the RPM 80. The Mod RPM4 is largely made with several layers of overlapping rubber, this process make RPM4 resistant to scratches and bumps, as well as rather light and gratifying to handle thanks to the "engraveds" surface and with rubber-like paint. The sensation of solidity that is felt by holding it in the hand is due to the presence of details of the aluminum alloy frame that strengthen the structure.

The Mod features the branding at the top, while the control keys and display are contained in an elegant raised plate, screwed to the mod via 4 French screws. The 0.96 "color display during use shows the following information; graphic level of battery charge, percentage (%) of battery charge, set power, lock / unlock symbol (padlock) resistive value of the coil, Volt, puff counter and duration of the last puff. The adjustment buttons (Fire, Up and Down) are metallic, slightly protruding and sufficiently precise.

On the back of the Mod there is the AFC slider adjustment that acts on a two-way lateral system. The adjustment with the protruding pin is quite hard to move, a symptom of good assembly precision. The information on the metal side member consists of the vertical writing "RPM 4" and information on the capacity of the internal battery (1650mAh).

Here it is possible to observe the two air passage slots which are opposite and completely adjustable. The two full opening slots allow the device to be used in RDL / DL mode and measure 6x3mm each.

Hello guys. I'm having troubles with the Doom X rta (mesh). A few days ago it started to flood the deck and when I vape, my mouth fills up with e-liquid and it's horrible haha. I have installed a regular coil (0.2ohm and 2.5mm) and it does it a lot. Can I repair it? Thanks!

I was wondering if you could help me. I'm having some serious vaping issues.

So I'm fairly new to vaping. I bought a tarot nano mod. It worked wonderful at first and the zamplebox flavors tasted amazing! Then one day, my mod made a hissing sound as if I was continusley pushing on the trigger and not sucking. After that, I was never able to taste my flavors again and every hit tasted metallic. Also the vapor choked me out. I tried changing the coil numerous times, changed juices, and cleaned the whole vape and nothing changed. Mind you I prime my coils and I vape at the appropriate wattage for my coils.

Frustrated, I figured I had bought a dud. I threw away the nano and went and purchased a Drag 2 Voopoo. Again, the flavors were amazing at first! But again, after a few weeks, the vape made a weird hissing noise and I could no longer taste my flavors but a metallic taste. Changing the coils do not improve my situation. Note, the flavor is not burnt but tasteless and metallic.

Ive had people test my vape and they all agree it tastes weird so I don't think it's vapers tongue. Also I can taste my flavors in my friends mod.

What is happening?! I do tend to chain vape but I always wait 30 seconds between puffs. Ive also dropped both mods before.

Siren V4 first impressions:
The amount of spare part's present in the small Digiflavor package (Geekvape) is remarkable and impressive. Examining the tank, the first thing that catches the eye are the super compact dimensions, the glass is replaced by super low-profile thermoplastic material (PEI) and the AFC system is hidden from view.

Siren V4 looks solid and well crafted, with a very RDA-like look and shape. Aesthetically, I find it a really pleasant and rather intriguing solution.

I received the Gunmetal colorway, and I'm really happy I didn't stumble upon the rainbow color, however I must say that even in the SS or Full Black version this Siren V4 is very nice!

In the image below you can appreciate the compactness of the V4 compared to the V3 version of Digiflavor. It is also interesting to note that they do not look alike at all ... Will the Siren V4 be able to worthily support the famous previous versions (V2 and V3) without making you regret them? I will try to understand it.

Siren V4 is completely disassembled in all its parts, including the air regulation ring, all this is very positive for a thorough and easy cleaning.





Siren V4 Top Fill:
The Top Cap has a thread on the outer edge that is sliding, but care must be taken before screwing, finding the correct initial tightening position. The Cap compared to the Tank has a reduced section like a sort of hat, in fact it measures 18mm externally and 6 mm in height, it also has a knurled metal surface to favor finger grip. Siren V4 can accommodate any 510 type drip-tip.

By separating the Top Cap from the tank, you can access the part involved in the supply of e-liquid. For the junction and for the watertight seal between cap / tank there are two replaceable white orings, one laps the external perimeter of the tank and the other embraces the apex of the chimney. The filling slots are generously sized and in the center we can see the apical part of the chimney which has an internal diameter of 3.5mm.
The standard installed drip-tip is very thin and quite high with an 18mm graft protrusion. Supplied there is another slightly lower Tip that protrudes for 15mm once engaged. Both drip-tips have a very small internal diameter (3.5mm) however the diameter is perfectly compatible with the chimney, without creating steps.





Siren V4 central body:
The central body of the tank externally presents the stylized Digiflavor logo and incorporates the part in transparent thermoplastic material (PEI), replacing the classic glass. This window, despite being only a few millimeters high, allows you to view and keep the internal e-liquid level under control with reasonable ease, and also gives an "unusual" and very compact appearance for a Tank RTA, however absolutely pleasant.

The threaded part of the union of the central body of the tank with the deck houses 3 slots for the inflow of liquid towards the coil.
The internal width of the bell measures 13mm, its depth has the same measure of 13mm. The design of the sky is connected to the bell and has a 10mm wide flat central profile.

Introduction

Eleaf are one of the oldest vaping manufactures and along with Wismec and Joyetech make up the Jwei Trio! They are most known for their iStick series which have different ranges including the much loved Pico, the iStick mods and here we have the follow up to the iStick Power after what must be approaching a five year gap!

As the name Power suggests the iStick power 2C is a power only device (so no TC settings) which comes with wattage, smart and voltage modes. The device is powered by dual 18650 batteries and outputs up to 160 watts although there is a lower powered in-built battery version. The main accents on the large coloured display can be customised to be one of 4 different colours and for those that need to charge in the device we have Type C and a 2A charge rate!

Eleaf products tend to be classed as budget yet are known for their reliability in both performance and durability, let's check out the iStick Power 2C in more detail!

Aesthetics and Ergonomics

The iStick Power 2C came in sturdy cardboard box packaging with outer cardboard sleeve which has a raised picture of the chosen colour on the front and contents, information etc on the reverse! I received the Blue version which has a large upper Blue leather spine section and smaller Brown Leather lower spine section, the options are Light Brown, Blue, Red, Dark Brown or Black. Apart from the Black which has both upper and lower Black leather spine sections all other colours have a different colour lower spine section to the upper section which is the colour of choice!

The device is constructed from Zinc Alloy and has a classic C frame design with curved frontage and bevelled edging leaving zero sharp edges! The spine sections which wrap around to cover most of the sides are well padded and despite the spine not being particularly curved it's comfortable in the hand. The device feels pretty much a medium weight so definitely can't be described as lightweight but not particularly heavy either. The two leather sections have stitching which adds aesthetic detail and on the frame one side we have "eleaf " and on the other side "iPower" both of which are in a signature looking font, on the side which has "eleaf" printed below in a vertical position we have the Type C USB connector!

The face of the device has a large, proud protruding curved fire button towards the top with a large colour display below. Below the screen we again have a proud, large horizontally positioned navigational rocker. Up top set to the rear we have a small air fed plate with Gold plated, spring loaded 510. Moving to the base we have the hatch battery door with safety stamps and 3 venting holes.

Although Eleaf devices are still budget priced over the last couple of years the build quality has improved considerably and the iStick Power 2C is a very solid, well made device and aesthetically pleasing to the eye in my opinion!

Just worth mentioning as well as the dual 18650 iStick Power 2C which has a max wattage of 160w there is also the iStick Power 2 which has a 5000mAh in-built battery and top wattage of 80w. Apart from the inbuilt battery and lower top wattage the two devices are operated exactly the same!

Fitting The Batteries

The iStick Power 2C accommodates dual 18650 batteries that get fitted via the hatch door on the base of the device, just slide the door forward and lift up, we also have 3 venting holes. Orientation is vibrantly labelled at the bottom of the tubes and also embossed on the contacts underneath the hatch door where we can also see the batteries labelled A & B in bright White!

When the door is secured we have no movement or battery rattle whatsoever, i know over time some people have experienced this type of battery hatch door opening during use but only time will tell, certainly during my testing it was absolutely fine.







Although i would always recommend charging in an external charger if you do need to charge in the device i am pleased the Power 2C has a Type C USB connector and 2A charge rate. During internal charging a progress bar is shown for each battery and the charge given for each one as a percentage, the device supports both pass-through and firmware upgrades!





Note: On the above picture only one charging progress bar is shown as it is the Power 2 and not Power 2C version!

Display

The iStick Power 2C has a large colour display with nice layout and everything can be easily read, it can also be changed in appearance with a choice of 4 different colours for the main display accents!

At the top starting from the left we have the 2 (one for each battery) battery status bars labelled A & B, to the right of the status bars we have a padlock which will be in either an open or locked position depending on status.

Next we have the wattage or voltage depending which mode you are in, underneath the wattage or voltage we have a wavelength graphic which is animated when firing but is just for aesthetics and doesn't actually relate to anything but kind of cool if you like that sort of thing! This is followed by the mode and then underneath the resistance and finally at the bottom your puff information, to the left your count and to the right the duration of your puff!

Operating The iStick Power 2C





The device is the usual 5 quick clicks of the fire button to turn on and again 5 clicks to turn off and once on 3 quick clicks locks the navigational rocker but the device still fires! To also point out when installing a new atomiser a screen comes up with the resistance and a best from and to recommendation, this screen stays on for a couple of seconds before going back to the main working screen.





To enter the menu is pressing both sides of the navigational rocker at the same time which brings up icons lined up vertically which can be scrolled through, all menu screens are done in this format and what i really like is as you scroll down the icons only the one that can be selected is highlighted so you are not going to select the wrong icon in error! The icons in this first tier of the menu are for Mode, Puff, Colour, Default, ID Check and Exit.





Obviously Exit, Default and ID check are straight forward so need no explaining. When choosing Mode you get more icons appear which are Wattage, Smart and Voltage, Wattage and Voltage are standard variable wattage and variable voltage modes while Smart is variable wattage but only allows the wattage to be set to a max wattage output to suit the resistance of the coil installed! When in Wattage mode the power can be adjusted in 0.5w increments from 1w right up to 160w but doesn't round robin, in Voltage mode the power can be set from 1.0V up to 8.0v in 0.1v increments and again it doesn't round robin! When you select Puff a 7 day puff monitor appears on the screen, it also has an option to reset the puff count.





Finally that leaves the Colour option which when selected allows you to chose between Blue, Green, Purple or Red, whichever colour you select the main accents on the working screen will be in that colour! That's it, no TC, curves or other settings which many people never use, just a basic user friendly board which many power only users will prefer!

My Experience Using The iStick Power 2C and Thoughts!

You know you are going to get a lot of bang for your buck with Eleaf and nothing different here, a very solid, well made device which is inexpensive yet despite the price tags Eleaf devices are known for their reliability in both performance and durability!

So is there anything to be aware of? Well it does only hold up to a 25mm in diameter atomiser without overhang which in my opinion would be fine for a single battery device but those who like to use large atomisers on dual battery devices, this isn't for you! Also it needs bearing in mind this is a power only device so no TC and it also has no bells and whistles features such as curves but then a lot of power only users much prefer a device to be as simple as possible so a pro for many! I myself have never had any issues with the type of battery door on this device but i know many have with certain devices, this door seems absolutely fine to me but i guess only time will tell! The only other more petty con for me is when adjusting both the wattage or voltage it doesn't have a round robin feature although it scrolls very quickly and i do like the 0.5w increments for wattage adjustment!

The device looks great in my opinion and despite not having much of a curved spine the heavily padded leather and curved, large, proud fire button still allows this to be ergonomic to both use and hold. All buttons are very clicky with little in the way of travel and when it came to firing i detected no delay and ramp up was as good as with most modern devices!

I like that when an atomiser is first attached it gives a recommended from and to wattage range which is handy for a newer vaper as is Smart mode which should prevent a novice accidentally frying their coil! I also like the display, that it can be customised and that it's such an easy device to navigate. I also love how the icons highlight in the menu when they become selectable. Those that like to keep info on their puffs will like that this has a four figure puff counter and 7 day puff monitor which doesn't reset when the device is either switched off or the batteries removed!

If you do need to charge your batteries in the device the iStick Power 2C has a Type C USB connection port and 2A charge rate, it also supports both pass-through and firmware upgrades!

Hi all. Been vaping over ten years now, this Forum was tremendously helpful to me when I got started but haven't been back for awhile. I need help on a new setup. Ive been vaping on 510 dual coil cartomizers, double punched, in a tank for years now but the carts are almost impossible to get now. I am a mouth to lung vaper and use a 40W box mod at 7.7W with a 1.5 or 2 ohm cart. Started at 24 mg juice but down to 4 mg.
I am technologically challenged so hopefully I got all that right.
Anyway, can anyone recommend a setup for me to replace my precious carts? There are SO MANY options it's hard to pick.
