It´s all sub-ohm tanks with huge airflow for lung-hitters, what about us mouth to lung vapers aren´t we worth making tanks for anymore?

Hey Jgeorge...have you considered the CUBIS tank?

from Spinfuel...

In the four years of reviewing vape gear I’ve never seen a tank like the Cubis. It looks to me as though Joyetech has listened to what all vapers had to say about how they “wish” a tank could be and then made it happen.

Clapton Coil for Mouth to Lung
Joyetech has developed and produced the very first Clapton coil for mouth to lung users a 1.5 ohms’ coil head that provides the mouth to lung vaper a whole new level of satisfaction.

The biggest problem for mouth to lung vapers was getting enough flavor and vapor from a tight draw coil head. With this new Clapton coil set up that is no longer an issue. I spent more than a day using this coil head on one of my Cubis tanks and I have to tell you, had this been around when I switched to sub-ohm tanks I doubt I would have adopted the Lung Hit method of vaping. If you are a mouth to lung vaper that has never been thrilled by the performance of your tank and coil heads, I urge you to try one of these. I’m betting you won’t find anything on the market that hits better, or provides as much flavor.

[And...for around $25 you can get a CUBIS Tank plus a 5-pack of Clapton coils...:headbang:

Thanks for your suggestion. Actually bought that tank with the Clapton coils, got it last week.
It´s a nice tank but I still think the best taste for mouth to lung is my Joyetech Delta 23 (the first one) with C3 tri-coil but that one is taken out of production. The Cubis tank has for me a muted taste but I like the concept with the top-fill
The taste of the cCell coil is sooo much cleaner and better than both of them, it´s for me not in the same league ;)
I am able to vape mouth to lung with them both in the Target tank and my Fury tank with the air-draw at minimum so I shouldn´t complain but it´s just that I wondered why all new tanks is sub-ohm with huge airflow, just some thoughts that I wanted to share :)
The cCell coils really spoiled all other tanks for me when it comes to taste :|

You are vaping the Ni200 cCell in temp mode only, right?

the cCells are compatible with other tanks that take the Aspire/Triton coils. The cCells are slightly longer/taller than the Aspire/Triton coils, though. I've only used them in my Target tank and a Melo 2 tank. It takes a little bit of patience for me to get them to work in my Melo 2. Too tight or not tight enough and they won't read on my mod.

Correct, for the Ni200 cCell I'm running at 350 degrees and to be honest... the taste is still bland. I guess what I was asking was if I could put a Aspire Triton atomizer in the Target tank? Just in case I ever find myself in limbo waiting for new cCells to come in. Also referring to when I say 23.5-25W, I was using a cCell kanthal atomizer, taste was still subpar (in my opinion, of course). I'm currently waiting for them (kanthal cCell replacements) to come in the mail, they should be here Friday.

I think you will have better luck with the Kanthal head. I found that I couldn't get the Target dialed in properly for nickel (it seems to run too cool, even at 600 degrees) but after a break-in period I did get good flavor at 25 watts from my coil. A lot of people recommend not vaping nickel in wattage mode, though, because it can become toxic if it heats up too much. I did it anyway but never over 25 watts and I made VERY sure I never let it run dry. When it was time to buy replacement coils, I stuck with the kanthal heads. They are my happy place when it comes to these sintered ceramic coils. Of course YMMV, but that's my experience. Oh and welcome to ECF, the BEST vaping community evah!! :)

I hope the new kanthal cCells work out better for me too! Just thinking maybe the original kanthal one that came with my kit was just off or some other external factor. Funny story, boyfriend went to go pick up atomizers this past weekend while I was with him and the guy behind the counter asked if he wanted kanthal or nickel and he had no idea so I shoved em' and said "Kanthal" turns out, he ran through the original nickel cCell he recieved in his kit completely in wattage mode and told me he had no idea there were nickel atomizers, and that he couldn't tell the difference! DOI.

You could raise the temp and get a better vape. I usually kept mine around 530 F. And the kanthals I kept at 35 watts. They do have a break in. They get better after the first tank or two. I haven't tried any other coils in the Target tank, but Aspire/Triton coils should work in it.

Ha! That's pretty funny. :) I had to mark the tanks I have nickel coils in because I would forget which ones they were! I am so happy with the kanthal cCells that it's not a problem anymore, though. I gave nickel coils a shot and found that they just aren't for me.

I'm finding that temperature control in general isn't for me. It has some pros and cons, but I like kanthal better. The next mod I get, I will get one that does stainless in TC and give that a try. I like the idea of being able to run a coil in either mode.

From the Eleaf iStick thread...

I found the Vaporesso TC coil wanting. I liked the Kanthal coil better, but still not quite my cup of tea. I don't like the lag and even at .9Ω it's too aggressive a vape for my needs. I'm a very tame vaper--I love my Kayfun 4 at 9-12 watts for flavor, vapor output and quality and airflow. That's my gold standard.

Haven't seen this issue of cCell "lag" mentioned in this thread.

Is it "for real"...obvious...annoying...preventable???

I love the taste of these ceramic coils but I really don´t want sub-ohm big chimney tanks... maybe it´s just me
I just got - through a Youtube contest - a Ceravape Hygiea tank. It uses ceramic wicks, and is very much a MTL tank comparable to the Nautilus in airflow...

I'm not sure. This is based on one coil (that came with the tank) only... Maybe my wattage was too low or something? No idea. I'd ask other Vaporesso users if they experience this also. My coil had a considerable lag.

Yeah, I did have to run mine at the full 35 watts to be happy with it.

I can tell you from experience that if you want to restrict the airflow on an RBA head, shove the largest diameter
clapton coil you can fit in there. I put a 3mm diameter, 6 wrap clapton in a Kanger Subtank Plus and now it's like sucking through a straw. Not good.

Received my Eleaf Melo 2 ECR RBA Coil heads last week.

They work, but way too airy for my liking even with
the AFC almost completely closed. Will try a larger coil
wick and see if that helps.

Thanks for the advice!

Melo 2 ECR RBA comes with a 2.5mm diameter coil, so I'll
give a 3mm diameter a try. Shooting for 1ohm'ish, so I'll
stick to plain round wire for now.

That's where I am with it, too. I will give the SS cCell a shot once they are available, but VW mode is actually just fine for me. So far I haven't found "the one" that just gets my TC heart a-thumpin', lol. I like knowing that I am ready for the TC revolution, though. As long as I have mods that will upgrade to some as-yet-to-be-determined TC perfection I am fine with using my mods in VW. Maybe SS will be it and maybe it won't, but it's sure fun to experiment! :D

I've skimmed through this thread and haven't seen a lot of talk about the mod. I'll be straight, I don't really care for it. First the grip is a bit weird, but I have small hands and that may have something to do with it. The biggest thing is that it doesn't function as the directions say it should. It has never asked whether I'm using a new coil or not. It also fails to detect the type of coil most of the time. These were two big selling points for me. I contacted the seller and he ran me through some basics of turning the mod off and on...the usual stuff that I'd already tried. The basic functions worked, however, when I tried to explain that these advanced functions weren't working properly or at all, he pretty much blew me off and said the mod is working. I shot the seller a quick email trying to explain more in depth and I actually got a call back. The seller admitted that the advanced functions weren't working either on all of the models they had at their store. He tried to tell me there must have been a firmware change or update that I needed and he wasn't sure why the advanced functions weren't working. Basically, he didn't know what the deal was either.

The mod is now sitting on a shelf at my vaping area unused. I would send it back for a refund, however, I'm not too thrilled about paying for shipping, AGAIN. The seller told me that since the mod was functioning properly in the basic functions that there wasn't a problem. I no longer patronize that seller.

I do love the Ni cCell coils. Great vapor production and no spitting is a really nice change from some coils out there. I also love the fact that I can use them in my Trition and Atlantis tanks. I gave the tank that came with the kit to a friend who is just starting out vaping.

Wow, that's not cool at all! Have you thought about contacting Vaporesso directly and seeing what they can do? That's really crappy of the vendor for not standing behind their sales. It would be easier for them to deal with Vaporesso directly since it seems that the entire order has an issue. Good luck with this. I hope you can get it taken care of. :(

I bought the rose colored Vaporesso kit, love it. I was surprised that it is small, lots of clouds, great taste. From some of the other reviews, guess I got lucky.
I got tired of burnt cotton taste, and this does not give dry hits. BUT, it does spit back and leak out the air holes when the coils gets old (say about 1 week).
I have an old coil soaking to clean it, right now. Hope that fixes the leaking and spitting. I keep the temperature between 25 to 28 with the kanthol coils.
The Ccoil does fit the Atlantis and Morpheus attys, but same leak and spit problem.
I also purchased a Soter by CeraVape. It is a big tank that takes 3 ceramic coils. After about 5 to 10 puffs, it not only leaks, but POURS hot juice out the bottom air holes. Been in contact with the company, basically they keep making the same suggestions over and over, never got anywhere. This is not the first terrible product I have purchased from them, but will never buy from them again.
