@cooladdict was it you that said you had used some effervescent denture cleaning tablets on a cCell and it worked really well? I picked some up today. I got the Dollar General brand because the namebrand ones said they had a minty fresh flavor. These cheapos don't say that. Hopefully, they don't.
Yep, I just got the Equate brand. I didn't want minty fresh, either! :D You still have to rinse them, even if you do the hot water soak after you effervesce them but as long as you do there won't be any weird flavor left on them. :)

Just got my target tank in the mail. Popped the Ni-200 coil in, primed it, let it sit a couple of minutes, and fired it up in TC mode at temps between 420 and 470°F. So far, I can definitely taste the ceramic (or something). It tastes sort of chalky. That's the best way I can describe it. It's not terrible, it doesn't make me gag, but I can just taste something different than I am used to with the same juice on a cotton coil.

Can anyone else taste these coils?

i had a similar exp with my ni200 ccell. it was barely wicking any eliquid to the ceramic part of the coil and you could taste the ceramic heating up. prime the hell out of your coil and see what the first few pulls taste like. if the ceramic taste goes away, your problem is wicking. my :2c:

edit....i should add, once these ccells have a good amount of ejuice, they really bring out the taste of you juice. i'm running one at 600° 31 watts. it ohms out to .17 but they're listed as .2

Yep. Mine is reading .17 on my DNA-200 (I trust its accuracy). After I let the tank sit for a few hours, the taste seems to have gone away.

The downside is that I have to run this thing at over 500F to even begin getting a decent vape. I typically vape at between 430 and 450F but that just doesn't work on these coils. I may have to try the Kanthal coil.

One question: My Kanthal coil says "20-35W" but on some of the reviews I've seen they were labeled for up to 70W. What's the deal? Is there more than one Kanthal coil head out there?

EDIT: Still vaping on my Ni-200 coil. The vapor production is non-existent. I am talking less vapor than a 2012 CE4 clearo at 2 Ω. This is at 25W and 500°F. Very disappointed in the wicking of these coils so far. I am just getting ZERO vapor off these things. I have it on a DNA-200 and I know my settings for Ni-200 are correct.

trust me it aint the dna200. i'm having to run my ccell at 600°. i'm even considering upping the base res (somewhere around .18 maybe) or tcr in escribe to get a warmer vape for these coils. i'm running the ccel in an atlantis. i had to cut the coil apart to get it to wick right. i made a post with some pictures of my fix a few pages back. i'll post the link.

Yeah, but I am using their tank (the target). I shouldn't have to freaking dremel my coils. Frustrating because I can tell this would be a good vape if I could get the coils to wick. (Using 30/70 juice, btw. Might try some 50/50).

It sounds like maybe that coil is bad. You should be getting very good vapor off of the DNA200 mod. I didn't like it on the Target because it ran way too cool for me, even at 600 degrees, but it worked great on my Cloupor Mini+. I am sticking to the kanthal heads, though, because they require no finesse. I love that I can just throw it in and vape!

I would stick to the 25-35 watt range. 70 watts is way too high for that coil.

I am new here for a couple of minutes, I read all the posts on Target Vaporesso finally signed up on this forum because it will share their insights.
If someone can help is noticed with heater 0.2 ohm that appears on the display from 0.21 to 0.17 ohm and you need to hit when you show 0.2 ohms and quickly lock, then I wapować with quite a large cloud at 230 degrees Celsius.
Sorry for English I use google translator

you might have a bum coil. once i cut the outter barrel of my coil apart, i then had to rip some of the cotton out of the juice holes to get it to wick anything overa 50/50. i'm still using the same coil. flavor is still great. #frankenstienccell

I did mine yesterday. Let it soak most of the day, probably around 12 hours, changed the water out and added another tablet around midday...the ceramic looks almost new again. Very impressed. I'm gonna give it a try later today once it dries out.

The only apprehension I have about doing all of this is that there is cotton in the coil. Not sure how well cotton can withstand dental tabs or water rinsing before affecting the taste of the vape.

Hi y'all!

New the forum but not new to the vaping world. My boyfriend just recently got a Target VTC and convinced me to get one as well after my Nautilus mini and Eleaf iStick mod began to be a massive headache and more trouble than it was worth (Replacing atomizers out the hoo-ha, and wattage variation over time on my mod). I was enticed by the extended life of the ceramic coils, even though being $4 each at some places, much better than repurchasing 5 pack Nautilus coils every two weeks.

Anywho, using this I have found that most of my ADV's just don't taste the same, and some lacked any taste at all. Loaded with a 2500 mAh battery running with the included nickel atomizer and filled with max VG juice and vaped at 23.5W-25W I get nice vapor, but a lack of taste. I presume this may be a wicking problem like some of y'all have stated previously but just wanted to know how if any of you have experienced this and have resolved it?

I believe this model is suppose to be able to handle thick and thin juices but so far I have been led to think otherwise, and was wondering on the regular, what PG/VG ratio y'all vape with this device and at what wattage? Also I'm sure this has been asked before but, is there also any other atomizers compatible with the Target VTC tank? I believe I heard the Aspire Triton atomizer is compatible?

I have been using my 50/50 vg/pg-------for 3 weeks now all with the same flavor peppermint/menthol.......in my Target Tank with the Kanthal head and it is still

working good and tasting good..........I thought I'd wait until I had a problem before I wash the coil head out................the only trouble I've had is

mod gets hot with out pressing the fire button and display turns white.......have a ticket now to send it back for another Target Mod to fastech.....I really

like the form factor with this mod just can't have it heating up automatically....lol..........

The cotton that is around the coil is almost like fabric. It's pretty strong and I think it holds up well. I haven't gotten any weird taste from it after cleaning my coils this way but I can't say I know how long it will hold up long term. I figured it was worth a shot when I tried it out because it would either work or it wouldn't. I didn't have any spares at the time! :) I have 3 of them to clean right now, though. I will put them in the ultrasonic cleaner today to see how that goes.

I think you will have better luck with the Kanthal head. I found that I couldn't get the Target dialed in properly for nickel (it seems to run too cool, even at 600 degrees) but after a break-in period I did get good flavor at 25 watts from my coil. A lot of people recommend not vaping nickel in wattage mode, though, because it can become toxic if it heats up too much. I did it anyway but never over 25 watts and I made VERY sure I never let it run dry. When it was time to buy replacement coils, I stuck with the kanthal heads. They are my happy place when it comes to these sintered ceramic coils. Of course YMMV, but that's my experience. Oh and welcome to ECF, the BEST vaping community evah!! :)

You are vaping the Ni200 cCell in temp mode only, right?

the cCells are compatible with other tanks that take the Aspire/Triton coils. The cCells are slightly longer/taller than the Aspire/Triton coils, though. I've only used them in my Target tank and a Melo 2 tank. It takes a little bit of patience for me to get them to work in my Melo 2. Too tight or not tight enough and they won't read on my mod.
