Am is tootle puffer? I don't vape often, more to keep my hands busy. Still new, but my preferred builds seem to be in the 1.2-1.5 ohm range, usually have my vamo set no higher than 15 watts.
Haven't found a solid definition, so figured I'd ask here.

Yep you're a tootle puffer - welcome to the fold. :)

This was my first tootle puffing computer back in 1984 - the Sinclair Spectrum. It plugged into a TV set for monitor and you loaded "software" using a cassette recorder whilst praying you had the right frequency. :) I still have it somewhere.

I have built the Origen in dual vertical coils, working out at 1.4 ohms
Dual coils totaling 1.4Ω must be with 30g or 32g wire, I don't usually build with that small of a gauge. Twisted 30g sometimes in dual or triple twists. My default go to gauge is 26g for anything tank based and 24g for drippers.

I build the Origen with dual 24g totaling 0.35Ω
Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators

Or with a single coil of 24g totaling 0.7Ω

Maybe that is why I am not making the most of my Origen. I never build anything below 1ohm - if it turns out 0.9 it's usually some mistake somewhere but I try to live with it. To me twisted gauge sounds way over the top - I mean for the old lady that I am that sounds like me riding a 2000cc motorcycle when I can't even ride a pushbike. :)

The builds I do on the Origen and the MaxVG juice I use gives a very thick dense vapor with amazing flavor. I have a Berry Royale juice in it now and vaping on the Origen is like taking a handful of field berries and putting them in your mouth there is that much flavor. I can get a very similar experience on my Mutation X V3 and CCI Militia but the flavor just doesn't even compare.

It is a build that requires some power behind it, my daughter who smokes and is now getting into vaping almost chokes from the density of the vapor. What gauge wire are you using? I'll try a build like yours and see what I get.

To be honest I don't quite remember what gauge I used. Yesterday I got a whole bunch of RDAs and an RBA and I spent a whole morning building them I usually use a 28 gauge but since the Origen I built as a dual coil I may very well have used the 30. Yes I think it was 10 wraps of 30 on a 2.5mm drillbit.
