GP Series Status Update
Just a quick update. The Spheroid units have been produced, we engrave them right now, then comes the electropolishing, ultrasonic cleaning and finally assembling and shipping.
The Piccolos are under production, we have prepared the tubes, the top caps, the adapters and we're waiting for the switches to finish and then send them from Athens to Sofia for polishing and assembling. We estimate to send all pre-orders much sooner than Friday, September 25th.
The Paps v4 mods are ready too.
The Heron v2 atty is in the last stages before production.
Regarding the requested black PTFE (teflon) drip tips:
We're trying to find black or coloured teflon rods 2 weeks now, but no luck. All the companies we approached gave us the same answers. Below is a conversation we had with the PAR Group in UK about it.
- We can supply this material, but is does not have food approvals. The natural/white virgin un-filled material has food approvals.
- Thank you, Wayne, how about pigmented teflon without filler with food approvals? The colour is needed for aesthetic purposes.
- Sorry no there isn’t a pigmented ptfe with food approvals. It would need to be virgin natural/white.
So, we shall stay with the white ones, but if someone has a source for coloured PTFE with food grade specs, I'll be glad to check it out.
We are pretty busy sorting out everything that it keeps going as planned and yes, so far, so good!

We developed a new topper addressed to the fluff builds mainly, but it may benefit the fluffless ones considerably. This new topper has an additional advantage of being more friendly for the coil during adjustments and it is reminiscent of the v1.5 topper. It is in production right now and it will be sent to all the Heron v2 first owners only, free of charge without any need to contact us during the next weeks.

We designed a clear tank with a nice amber colour for GP Heron 2.0 made from ULTEM - a thermoplastic resin that offers outstanding elevated thermal resistance, high strength and stiffness, and broad chemical resistance, frequently used in medical instruments.
ULTEM® is the commercial brand name of polyetherimide (PEI), a thermoplastic resin like PEEK, which does resist chemicals, such as hydrocarbons, alcohols and halogenated solvents. We import our ULTEM rods from USA. As a resin has a degree of elasticity which makes it less prone to damage from accidental drops.
Glass can break from a drop, acrylic is prone to cracks from liquids, polycarbonate can contain BPA, while ULTEM doesn't and the menthol and cinnamon liquids we tested with ULTEM, cause no issue to it plus the material is inert taste-wise and to the most solvents.
Therefore, we can say that our ULTEM tank is a Translucent-Crack-Shatter-Corrosion/Chemical Resistant Tank and the last replacement tank you ever need.
