Go to your local hobby or hardware store, with the piece of KF4 glass, or at least the measurements, and find some clear plastic/acrylic tubing that matches the dimensions needed.

Edit: Sorry...meant that as a suggestion, not a demand.
Haha no offense taken! And I made it happen!!!!

I took a KFL poly tank (the full M tank piece which is much thicker in the middle than I thought). I used a bench grinder to grind it down to the correct height first. Then discovered it wouldn't fit in the little groove where the o-ring is due to the thickness. So I used a dremel to round out/thin the inside edge.

I'm trying it on a matte clown tank piece, sitting on top of the authentic bottom. So far so good. If it's leak free tomorrow, I'll move it over to the authentic tank!

*Edit.. (Ya'd think I'd have the decency to clean the bar off or at least not take the pics on a dirty a** towell...) Haha

A quick question about the KF3.1 / KFL rather than the KF4; are increased dry hits likely from not sealing o rings or plastic tank section? I know that can cause leaking but not sure about dry hits. I've been getting lots of dry hits and inadequate wicking the last few weeks, but the build is exactly the same, everything is except for the colder weather and the fact I've dropped it a couple of times.

Vacuum leaks will cause dry hits in any tank set up...
Since you're creating a vacuum by drawing on the tank, any loss will prevent juice from being drawn into the chimney.
Cold weather might not be an issue, unless we are talking like close to zero...
However, dropping a tank is no bueno...it can definitely cause issues!

Good point about the vacuum HB. I'll try replacing all o rings and the plastic tank section tomorrow.
Might be the plastic tank as it seems to skip a thread and sit on an angle if dropped.

That should do it! And the inventor of the plastic tank will sleep well again, knowing that his creation served its purpose! Hahaha! Gotta love a replaceable tank!

Meh, the the towel those covers my vape area is permanently a total mess...and its gone from brown to a weird orange color, lol...but it's my trust sidekick, and I'll always take pics of gear on it because of the pride I have in that wonderful vape towel of mine!!!

**Just dropped the P3/KF4 combo on my kitchen floor from about 4 ft. It's called an "Allure" floor from Lowe's? Like a flexible "peel n stick" type floor (for reference) and everything survived unscathed. Not sure if the little poly tank piece helped or not, but it's nice that nothing broke either way!

Well, replacing o rings and the plastic tank on my 3.1 worked perfectly. It was probably the plastic tank or the chimney top o ring that was causing the issue.

I'll also try and put aside a bit of time to try a titanium build on the KF4 this afternoon in preparation for tonight.

First titanium coil on. A bit of a pain; especially that torching it to attempt to remove spring caused it to flare up and fall from the pliers burning holes in my carpet.
I've had to use a coil winder to get them pressed together enough, which means it's unfortunately about a 2.8mm coil. Guess I'll have to try 3mm and accept the 3.2-3.3mm ID result.

Now looking good except for the weird white bits on some of the coil, and the fact that suddenly after torching the ohms have jumped from .58 to .72 for some obscure reason. I've checked the coil and screws a few times but it looks perfectly fine.
Vape seems a little dryer and almost less sweet than kanthal, though that may be the slightly higher ohms instead of the titanium itself. At the moment the springiness of the titanium seems to increase it's difficulty of use a little bit and I'm not seeing the advantage over a parallel kanthal build. But it's only the first try for titanium so I'll see what I think after a few builds.

I've been lucky with glass tanks, but I prefer poly tanks just for their forgiving nature when dropped. KV4 seems to be designed with some relief on the glass tank that prevents the glass from touching whatever it's dropped on. There's a fingernail width of clearance on mine where the steel sticks out just a little from the glass. That can make a difference in a drop situation.

O-ring changes are a good preventative action with these tanks. I replaced the rings in the KF3 before I went to Disney and was leak free until a week after I got back. I had to take the top off to drain the juice for a coil dry burn and wick change. Afterward, it started producing dew next to the air hole. Today, I pulled it apart to change o-rings and the top ring had a flat spot. How could that happen? I'm really careful when I fill (but sometimes I get in a hurry). :)

Why do does my ohms jump? I read something about the center spring... I'm using the gold one. . Also. .. why do I get dry hits sometimes? I've been using kfl for years now. . My cotton tip is just lightly touching the deck. .

Ohms jump in the K4? Tighten the 9A screw, I think that was the part number of the bottom screw that holds the base and the air ring together.
