This will be the last time I discuss this. Below is what I wrote on the other thread. If someone else can post evidence rather than garbage on this, fine.
1) Phishing sites try to get you to enter banking or credit card info, not your freakin' email address! There are MUCH easier ways to do that!
2) Using the tool "Whois" we can see from the link that the site is from Chesterbrook, PA. USA!! Vapyawards.com - Va p Ya Wards
3) Using GEOtool we can verify that on a map! Geotool
Now the only question I have is why and who would start such a rumor? Now I could be wrong and voidnil could be the Anti Christ, but I haven't been spammed and I'm the one getting the votes in my email to tally them up. I need to think for a bit and determine if all this is even worth my time.

If someone wants your e-mail address, they'll have it with almost no effort on their part whatsoever.
We spent a TON of manhours encrypting people's e-mail addresses on our company website (so spammer's search tools wouldn't be able to locate them).
Didn't matter though, most people have used their e-mail addresses (including the company one) to sign up for a zillion forums, web-based shops, software suppliers, facebook-type of services, etc.
Our searches were still able to grab company e-mail addresses off the internet without a problem, from multiple sources (except from our website
The only way to avoid spam is to never use your e-mail... ever.
