The tighter and more mesh you roll, the better it wicks. What is your ohm reading on 3 or 4 wraps? All of my test were with almost 3 inches of rolled mesh.

Tyr taking 2 pieces of 400 or 500 half the normal size and rolling them together, making the normal size finished,, now ya got 800-1000 mesh 
see if this doesn't actually hold the liquid better while in the wick too

It says right on the Mesh companies website what size the wholes are I believe, it's only more per square inch when you go up to 500 from 400, but the whole size is the same appature = 0.039mm

Did you guys note that only the last item of mesh at the very bottom of this page says its a medical grade 304L none of the rest say there 304L only the last one on this page.?? All the rest just say Stainless Steel

I have a zenesis and am having a hell of a time getting Bobas to wick on 400, i have heard so many people are using 400 on bobas so what am i doing wrong? 400 mesh, about 30mm rolled tight around med. Paper clip any help is appreciated

The tighter the wick, the better the wicking. 30mm isn't enough. Try at least 70mm. Your fingers will prob end up red raw, but it'll be worth it
Don't know any physics law that will explain your point or why you need it to hold more if it wicks fast enough to replace any juice vaped. Two or three pieces all end up the same, one wick and doesn't physically or mechanically change anything still a 400 or 500 wick. Interesting little tid bit there BJ I don't recall reading this one before! Any way my 5 A4 sheets of #500 mesh arrived to day along with 5 A4 sheets of mystery mesh. Now just waiting onKanthal to come from the States and I will give it a whirl again.
On a weird note the DID with 70mm seems to be working again and consistent?? don't know why but finally not complaining!! LOL
Any suggestions on what kanthal I should use to get max amount of coils 6-8 and about 2.0-2.5 ohms. I'm waiting on 28,30 and 32. Its looking like 30 might be for me as there wouldn't be enough room to do that with 28??

Received my #500 mesh today and I'm blown away.
The vid below speaks for itself.
70mm rolled into the Line with 50/50 PG/VG kicked at 9.3 watts. I could of ran the whole tank vertically.

That depends on voltage. If volts are the same, cooler. More wire = more resistance. Low resistance gets cooking with lower volts, higher res needs higher volts.
Larger heating area with more coils so if you add more volts to get wire to same temp as previous coil you will get hotter vape.

Edit: Nevermind, I watched your video again. DUH!!!!!
I threw a 5-6 wrap of Nichrome 32awg on the same wick and it freaking rocks! So much flavor.
I find that when I cover more surface are of the wick (more wraps), I get better flavor. But with kanthal, the resistance becomes too high and I'm draining my batteries fast to vape those type of long coils. But with this Nichrome, it seems to have a lower resistance then kanthal, which I think is true if I remember, and I can use more wire, thus covering more surface area of the wick and I'm getting awesome flavor.

Great video, almost a 2 minute vertical static burn, as good a lab test as I have seen and proof of the capabilities of 500 mesh rolled tight. Congrats and enjoy. Thanks for posting.
