Stainless Steel Mesh 500 - $9.99 : Stormys Vapor Cellar, Electronic Cigarettes & More

just got this newsletter from Stormys looks like she now has 500 mesh and 400 is back in stock..it also said 635 stainless steel mesh will be shipping soon.

now...I don't know if this is a great price or what since I"ve never bought any mesh before...but I will be :)

I got this newsletter also and I'm not sure if it's 500 mesh or 400. This is what it says:

Stainless Steel Mesh 500
$9.99
10 reward points
Stainless Steel 316, 400 mesh used for rebuilding atomizers.
4 X 6 sheet- 500 holes per inch

Is it 400 or 500 mesh?

Haha; I was looking at that too. It seems like it's probably 500, because that's the main description, and it's listed as a new product, but the longer description does not inspire confidence.

Yeah, the co-op, if they get it off the ground is 12"x12" I believe, for 1/2 the price.
Im in it as well @ 5.51 for a 11.8 x 11.8 sheet i feel is a good price also. I paid 4.99 for 4x6 pieces of 400 from a vendor .
That co-op is for 500 mesh and i figure if i like the 400 this should be just as good.
Sure hope the co-op meets its quota.

I felt the same way, FFKG.....especially when I looked at the price of some of the rebuildable attys on the market. Then with the advent of lower priced devices, things started to make more sense to me financially. Like anything, you do have the "start up" costs, but once you have your supply of goodies needed, you can make quite a few wicks and coils from the materials available. And, they last longer when made properly. I've had one wick/coil going for well over a month and I never had that kind of staying power with a pre-built atty. Plus, there is the satisfaction of custom tuning your atty or tank to your own taste. That is what really hooked me. I love to fiddle and build things and the RA's really fit the bill for me.
Of course, this is just my two cents..... oh, wait.... I spent my last two cents buying mesh.....lol.

My point exactly, Lucid...... It does seem expensive when you look at the cost of one sheet of mesh, but you have to keep in mind how many wicks you can make from that sheet (power wick rollers excluded..lol). Plus, I've found that I can clean my "used" wicks and re-use them over and over.
The biggest problem I encounter is blowing out coils, but again, on a relative basis, the resistance wire is a great deal. I forget the name of the vendor on eBay, but 100 ft. of wire for around 5 - 6 bucks.... what a deal. And you are only using a couple of inches at best to make a coil.
So, for a reasonable investment I can now feel independent of always having to worry about having attys on hand. If mine goes out, I just rebuild it. And to reiterate, the satisfaction of making your own "innards" is well worth the cost of supplies.
We all approach things in a different manner, but for me, RA's have been the best thing since white bread. I'm having more fun experimenting, learning, and meeting very bright people on the forums. What a great deal.....money can't buy that kind of satisfaction.

Thank you Dieseler...... for whatever reason I have developed a great passion for vaping. Perhaps it is how much better I feel now that I don't use analogs. Or it could be that I've found a new "hobby" to learn from. For sure it's the wonderful people I've met on the forums. So many people willing to share their knowledge and help you. Whatever it is, I am thoroughly enjoying myself and learning something new every day.
I truly appreciated your comment......
