5V vaping just not for me. Is it really for you?

No Problem...

But like I said. If you told me that on a eGo, say 3.5 volts, you liked a 1.5 ohm atomizer for a certain e-liquid – Then what you are telling me is that for that e-liquid you like 8.2 Watts.

Watts = (Voltage Squared)/Ohm => Watts = (3.5^2)/1.5 => Watts = 8.2

Thanks, and I already know how to calculate Watts. I don't even know yet what my watts preference is. This is my first mod. I started out using a Volt KR808D with some 2.8ohm carts. I can tell you that I enjoy "sipping" on my PV at this rate, something like 4.5 Watts? I do feel like I want a little more then that, but I'm not looking for a HUGE jump.

Can you give me a good recommendation on what might be a good combination with my 5V? Knowing that the 4.5ohm atty seems to be too much for me.

Sorry but these aren't just passers by in the chat room, these are regulars that I have no reason to disbelieve.

...

I don't think anyone is say'n that someone didn't say that or that they arn't regs here on the ECF.

But if you have ever sat on a Saturday Afternoon and Graded Math Exams. You would know that some people cannot do Math wurth a Darm.

Could be that their Fingers Smushed the Wrong Keys on their Cell Phone Apps when they Tried to use a Derivation of Ohm's Law?

;)

No.

They specifically state their gear.

It's not a slip.

If a 5v mod with a 4.5ohm atty is too much for you it'd be in your best interest to go back to 3.7v vaping.

If you were ok with 2.8 ohms on a KR808 then I'm not sure what I could recommend @ 5 volts. Ohms only go so high on must stuff.

Maybe 3.0 or 3.5 ohms?

I tend to agree with PsychOfMSE on this one.

You might be better off to use a Lower ohm that 2.8 on your KR808.

Or if you can build mods, make one of these...

Variable Volt Box Mod Kit

They used to sell a Pre-Made one for people with Fat Fingers like me But I can't seem to find it.

I'm currently using a 1.5ohm cisco atomizer (306).

In the morning I start off around 3.7v but by the end of the day I'm cranked up around 6v (depending on the juice).

So that's a swing from ~9 watts to 24 watts.

Again, if ~5 watt vaping is too much for you, you'd be much better off going back to a 3.7v battery with a 2-3ohm atty.

That's kind of my problem I think. The 4.5 atty is too much for me, and don't know if I've seen anything higher in ohms. Think I should just give up on 5V? Or maybe mod the 5V battery box, to run on a single 3.7 battery. I don't think that should be too difficult. I don't want to buy/build a whole new mod for 3.7, when I could just scrap/convert the one I got.

heh i may be a extremeist then i use a roughstack at 7.4v on a 2ohm carto in a liquidnator tank thats close to 27 watts......

Wow… 27 Watts. Do I smell Marshmallows Burning or is that your PV?

;)

BTW – What kind of e-Liquid do you put in your Toaster, uhmm... I mean, Roughstack?

I vape at 18 watts. I can vouch for pony. He's nuts :).

If you will vouch for him I will take your word for it. He is Nuts.

Why don't you just forget all this Volt and Ohm madness and go with a VVPV?

You don't have to fool with Specific ohms and Crazy Math. You just dial up the Voltage until you find the Sweet Spot?

For right now I don't want to buy or build another mod kit. I don't want to invest a lot of money in vaping all in the beginning. Maybe after a while I'll try some VV mods or something. And I found a 5ohm carto at madvapes. Maybe I'll give those a try.

EDIT: and the math isn't really that crazy, at least I don't think so. Seems pretty simple to calculate watts IMO. And I know less ohms = higher watts, and vise versa

If you're having to vape at 5w or less there is some other problem here...

I'm with Zoid...VV all the way!

I don't know how people vape over about 15 watts...seems to be about the highest I can get without killing every last bit of flavor & the vape tasting like burnt toast.
