Know Athens well. most of my family lives in SE Ohio. Learned to fly from a little grass strip in SE Ohio when I was 15 in HS. 1958.... The Tbird was bought new by my cousin a Dr. in SE Onio, and I bought it from him.

Bj have you had any problems with overwicking? when in use does the mesh get too saturated, or does it continue to wick after operation?
I have never had overwicking with any tight wick, I personally think in is scientifically impossible with a tightly rolled wick. With a loose wick or one with a hole in the center that can have a lot of thermal rising and yes you can get too much juice squirting out the top.

BJ - thanks so much for these threads!! You rock with sharing the info with us!!

Is the jury still out whether buying 635 mesh worth it compared to using 500 mesh?

Right now, I use a 1" piece of tightly rolled 500 mesh slipped inside a 1/16" silica sleeve (XS-116) and it's def a great vape for me... especially with the dual coil Bliss. So was just wondering if the 635 mesh is worth switching to.

A couple of weeks ago someone mentioned the problem with Bobas wicking on SS mesh. I ordered 30ml of Bobas at 100% vg and here are the results. After breaking in the coil wick on a 2596 PT and getting it stable, I have been using it on my DNA dual 18650 and no red light yet. The wick is 110mm 635 rolled tight and actually a little loose in the AGA. Coil is an 8/9 wrap 30g kanthal A1 at 1.8 ohms. Awesome vaper, flavor, and TH. I see no problem with Bobas wicking. It does seem to gunk up a little faster than clearer juices.

Great work BJ good to hear. How do you like the flavor of the juice?

What would you guess is the diameter of that wick? My current DID wick is probably 3ish mm and a 5/4 of kanthal gets me 1.7 ohm

I kinda like the Bobas flavor after a couple of tanks. I really don't know the dia of the wick, it fit loose in the aga and it was my first in the aga that I just received, probably a little over 2.5mm. Rolled the same size as I use on the mini Dud but the aga has a bigger wick hole. This aga is a monster. It is heavy and on my dna with two 18650's it feels like a small dumb bell. Hell I can probably skip a gym day using this. With the Bobas I will have to clean the gunk on this wick soon and when I take it out to clean I will put a caliper on it and see. I counted the wraps again and it is 7 wraps, forgot when I was breaking in I unwrapped one, so it is 7 wraps of 30g at 1.8 ohms.

That's a lot of build up on those coils. I know you put a lot of juice through them, but is that unusual?
Yep the Bobas is as gunkie as my Opus X DIY juice. I think it has a lot of tobacco abstract in it. That build up was two days, 6 tanks. My point was to show that Bobas would wick well with 635 as many kept stating here that it would not. I am happy I ordered the Bobas, really liking the flavor. I bought a 30ml bottle and now it was half empty so I filled the bottle with more 100% Vg and it still has great flavor. So even diluted with 50% more VG it is strong.

Dear BJ43

The Mesh Company have, after months of work, been able to reduce the cost of the 0.025mm wire that is used to weave our popular #500 and #400 mesh sheets.

We have ensured that the quality remains the top priority, and are very pleased with the results. These sheets remain the highest quality available anywhere, and we can now offer them to the public.

I'm pleased to report that we're now able to pass the saving onto our customers.

The price of #500 and #400 mesh A4 and A3 sheets has now been dropped. Plus we're now offering a 15% discount if you order over £50 worth of any of our e-cigarette sheets.

Also, there is an extra 10% discount on all materials until the 10th January 2013.

Please keep an eye out for more e-cigarette materials being added to our website in the coming weeks.

Please let me know if you require any further info on the production of our super fine mesh.

Sincerely,
The Mesh Company (Warrington) Ltd
