Only other initial thought is... I can't decide if the styling screams Home Depot/Lowe's or Toys-R-Us. :p

I have a power drill that looks very much like this battery...

But, but, but, you could play Cowboys and Indians with your grandkids.

Sorry, I don't have any yet. And my kids are too old for cowboys and Indians...

That said, I'll try anything that doesn't involve tiny itty bitty coils stuffed with drugstore cotton and rayon! So I'm really excited about those ceramic covered coils. And I like this tank.

A few thoughts--from another thread:

I know. I haven't been this excited since CE2, revision 11.

Right. There are all kinds of ceramics... Some are already used in vaping--MacTechVapor uses and loves Nextel XC-132 (from RBA Supplies) and is very happy with it. Some RBAs use ceramic cups (Rose). Aspire tried "ceramic" wicks that turned out to be more fiberglass than ceramic.

Party pooper. Let me have some fun while I still can.

But--yes, yes, and yes.

It's coming. Sooner or later somebody will invent something better and cleaner than those stuffed wires. I just hope that it will be sooner rather than later. :)

Thanks, Mark. :thumb:

I don't know what they actually use, but 24g Ni200 could be used for a Dual Coil at 0.2Ω for some beefy wire inside the ceramic. A 3mm inside diameter would be about a 5/4 wrap of two 24g wires. On coils like these, most I've seen have a NR-R-NR wire weld for better precision of the Ohms.

The ceramic looks pretty thick, but the coil inside could be closer to the center air hole. All speculation at this point, though.
Dual 3 mm 24 ga ni200 coils would require 68 wraps each for .2 ohms.

Quite interesting... I have a fleet of Dovpo E Mechs that some say look like Transformers. Love the things but doubt that would be the case if I didn't have a son that regularly has to take them apart and fix whatever. Have always had a problem with tanks because I burn everything. Recently won a TC mod and seems it has solved all my problems. This surely looks like something that I wouldn't have a problem holding and the cCoil intrigues me. Son has several TC mods and only one that he would recommend other than the one I won because of reading inaccuracies. Will see what they say about this one in a month.

Do you have an ORCTANK? Same cCell heads. :)

And yes, there are different kinds of ceramics used.

Hi Joan.

Yep, I have to agree that some aren't very accurate. Using a Kayfun creates problems with TC as well. Something about them makes the Ohms jump around.

But a good TC Mod will certainly fix your burning problems. :thumb:

Dual 3 mm 24 ga ni200 coils would require 68 wraps each for .2 ohms.
Even 28g Ni200 would need about 15 wraps for a 3mm single coil. And TC coils work best when they are spaced.

30g Ni100 would need about 10 wraps, and 32g would need about 6. But the smaller the gauge diameter, the faster it heats up to temp, so who knows? A smaller diameter gauge might best for being surrounded by ceramics.

Where did you get those numbers? Just curious. :) Does that 72mm height also include the 510 and drip tip? A lot of them are measured that way.

They are listed on HG website...

Parameters

cCELL inside

510 SUS Drip Tip and Thread

Dimensions: 72x 22 mm

Volume: 3.5ml

Thread: 510 thread

Don't know if the DT is included, though. Most likely it is.
