I don't think I can fix it...at best, avoid it maybe.
What about trying to get it replaced?
Thanks for that. It almost confirms one of my theories. Mine did it when the battery was low, so I was thinking it might be something in the firmware trying to display the low battery. I took the battery out, put it back in, took a hit, and it happened again. I put a fresh battery in and it hasn't happened since. I also noticed the sceen was hotter than normal. I had been holding it in my hand for a while so I thought maybe it heated the screen up too much.
Oh, good! I had some batteries that would run out quickly, but they weren't rated for higher limits of use in this mod. I'm glad you were able to recover and still use it! :thumb:

Pretty sure it has something to do with trying to display the battery strength at around half or a little less. It did it again once this battery hit that point. Popped a fresh one in and it's fine.
I don't know this for certain, but it sounds like the battery is running out of enough power to operate the device properly.

I'd like to add to the 50% battery screen glitch. I actually have two Targets, one I got from eightvape and the other from Vanguard Smoke. The one from Vanguard has the display glitch. I first noticed it a few days ago leaving work, took the battery out and back in and after a few puffs it'd happen again. I didn't notice anything getting warm/hot. Anyone have any experience with warranties on these things? I know Vanguard is in China, no idea how to handle that.
There are various models/versions of the Mod and Tank out there. The color scheme and o-ring colors are the easiest way to tell, but newer ones also have a different screen. You can compare yours to the pictures in this thread.

If the one from Vanguard is the first one and it was bought a bit earlier than the other, this could be why the one from Vanguard has issues. Vaporesso took our feedback seriously and made changes. I hope this helps.

I tried the Kanthal in my Melo 2, and it wasnt working. That's the only tank I have that it might have worked in, besides the Target tank.
The cCells worked in my Melo 2. Even if it is used and not performing well, you could try the other cCell to see if it makes contact and works in your Melo 2 the same as it does in the Target Tank.

A cCell is slightly taller than a Melo 2 Head, so I had to screw the tank together pretty tight, but they worked for me.

Anyone know where I might find the Target tank only? friggen tank costs more than the mod >.<
I haven't looked to see who has them in stock for a while, but you can look for it in a Google search for "target tank vaporesso" to see if a vendor has it at a price you like.

It still fires fine, no loss in power there. And my batteries are only about a month old. One is an LG HG2 and one is a Samsung 25R. I watched it closely today, and it happened a few puffs after it got to half. Evan is looking into it. He asked for a video of the problem.

I would probably pick a different tank. The tank is the only weak spot in the kit in my opinion. It's small, no top fill, and the glass is really loose when assembled. Loose enough I can spin it freely. I think it may have been preventing a good vacuum, too. I would get a pretty weak hit every so often, so I put a vape band around the bottom of the glass on the glass and the metal, and it seems to be doing much more consistently now.

I have a question that is solely because I am curious. :D What happens if you connect via USB when the battery is below half? Does that solve the glitch or does it continue to misbehave?

Haven't tried that. I may try it later tonight and see what happens.

I've seen others say that their glass is loose and spins. Mine can to that, but if I hold it by the metal above the glass, I can tighten it, both off the mod or on. Have you tried that?

You should be able to get it tight. Neither of mine are spinning anymore since I put a little muscle into it, lol. I grabbed both pieces above and below the glass and twisted them until everything was snug and I still have no problem taking it apart when I need to fill it. The threads seem to be able to handle it fine.
