Naaaa... that's not proof. He didn't take a hit off of it and blow it out; he held it in his hand and blew out a plume. I can hold a glass of water in my hand and blow out vapor that I inhaled off of a mod off camera. I want proof!

Hmmm... after whatever happened last night, I felt totally sintered this morning.

Dude.
Turtle totally gets it, you can tell he's been sintered before.

Dude, I went out and got sintered last night, it was epic!

Hmmm... after whatever happened last night, I felt totally sintered this morning.

Dude.

He sauntered into the bar. He sintered out.

Like he was TOTALLY sintered. Dude.

Basically it is a very precise oven that heats slowly to a set temp and holds for a preset amount of time, and then slowly cools.

OH!!!!!! Good for Xmas cookies, too?

I know. I finally get through and the office is closed. Please call again between the hours of ... :?:

Same same. Grr.

You can call again tomorrow. I know I will. They are going to hear from me. :D

Oh to be a hearing aid on the wall for THAT conversation.

But did he see any vapor (or, since it was a show in London, vapour) coming out of it?

Oh, stop it, Turtle of Little Faith!

Anyone else notice there 200 watt TC mod, the TAROT. Odd name, but the display isnt bad. Seems to be a custom built chip, so hopefully it can handle temp control without flopping like most of the products out.

Also, can anyone answer this for me. I typically keep my TC mods around 390-430 degrees, because cotton burns around 415 dry. With a mod like this, could you bring the temp all the way up and how would that affect vape taste and cloud production. Would it break the coil head at 600 F lol, and if I drop the mod and the coil head breaks without me knowing from shock, is it possible that I would inhale ceramic? I do drop my mod here and there and that def would not be pleasant.

PS Ignore this part of the title "1500C-3150C/3000F-6000F." It means 300-600F but for whatever reason they have not seen nor corrected this typo. Unless there attempting to out beat the competition with a mod that heads liquid nearly as hot of the surface of the sun

Veeerryy carefully. :p

It's like the bump to 180w on our xCubes.
At 200, you're pulling just under 32A per cell max, 24A per with a full charge. With the couple of TRUE 30A CDRs out there, it's not a problem.
If, presumably, done carefully, with attention to battery health and I should think... just occasionally.

The Tarot has a nice look, but something about the "vape gun" look of the Target I like.

Stand back or I'll vaporize everyone in this room with my sintered coil vape gun.
Exactly the reason that I wholeheartedly object to the look of the Target. Anything that looks remotely weapon-like is not a good thing for the vaping community's reputation. I almost puked when I saw that early Cool-Fire that looked like a grenade. Bad publicity waiting to happen. Kinda like juice labels that look like candy to kids. Bad ideas.

(Ok, here come the Dudes to tell me, "But Duuude, it looks soooo rad, Duuude!!)

(I am a progressive liberal politically, and a right-wing conservative vapologically.)

I think it's a bad idea to try to replicate a weapon's appearance, there's a mod that tries to look like brass knuckles or phone cases made to look like a real gun handle, but I don't believe that was the intention in this case. I think it has more in common, in looks, with a tool, there's a lot of products with a similar shape, not wanting to start an argument, just saying...

Interesting questions! :thumb:

For the 1500C-3150C/3000F-6000F typo, they probably tried to use a Zero and made it Superscript to raise it and look like the Degree symbol, but that did not take when they posted it. You can enter the Degree symbol with Alt+248 on the keyboard using the Number Pad. Press and hold Alt, then type 2,4,8, on the Number Pad, and release Alt.

In my limited experience with TC, vaping above 550°F was too hot, but I'm not using an Evolv DNA device. However, the whole point of TC is not to burn the wicking, so if the Ohms of the coil change to quickly, the Mod knows the coil is dry and shuts off... it should not burn your cotton. You should be more concerned about developing nasties like Formaldehyde from VG at higher Temps.

IMO, it would take a very bad fall of the device to crack the ceramics inside a head, as there is no direct contact to the enclosed ceramics. Not trying to say that it couldn't happen, but it seems to me that the ceramic would have to be dry and take a very bad fall onto something hard. Just my thoughts on the matter.

The Tarot mod looks quite nice. Gotta wonder how they're pulling 200W off just 2x18650's tho :?:
Our single 18650 tube Mods use a Buck/Boost DC-DC Converter, which can both increase and decrease the supplied Voltage from the battery in a 6.0-3.x Volt range, but most Series stacks only use Buck, which means they cannot output a Voltage above the batteries' Charge level. But...

Looking at 30A being the safest Continuous Amp draw to consider, Watts = Volts x Amps, so V = W/A.

200WMax/30AMax = 6.667V

Now, V²/WMax = Ω, so (6.667V)²/200W = 0.2222ΩMax

So 200W could be reached with 6.667V by using a 0.22Ω coil setup or less, and 6.667V is easily attainable from a Dual Series Stack 18650 in a Buck system. Each battery could be discharged down to 3.33V.

Many Mods today cannot supply their upper Watts Spec across a broad range of Ohms, so this could be how they are doing it.

And at 8.4V (both batteries fully charged), 200W could be reached briefly with 0.35Ω, drawing only 23.8A.

NOTE:
None of these calculations take a Buck DC-DC Converter's Max Voltage out into account, nor the chip's efficiency, nor Battery Lag. There is normally a decrease in a Buck Converter's Max VOut that is below the supplied VIn by about 1.0V. So the calculations above may be exaggerated a bit by using Max figures, but they are only given as examples.

It does look interesting vaperX...(although somewhat LARGE)...

But...for me...as a Tootle Puffer who rarely touches even 15W...the $115 TAROT mod only is NOT as attractive as the $80 TARGET mod plus TARGET tank Kit...
