Smoking analogs, I would cough some when I first got up in the morning, but this is an all-day thing. It's different looking "stuff" too. I know that it's a natural thing to do after quitting, and that it helps the lungs clear themselves, but I just don't know how long it lasts. I believe it also helps it along to drink plenty of liquids, I'm constantly drinking something all day. I never really had a "smokers cough".

Yes nitewriter. Water is very important when lungs are getting rid of crap. It's good for other reasons as well. The couch lasts different times for people depending. I haven't coughed but I did a lot with the COPD and analogs. Everyone is different. Also, could you have a bug or chest cold? Just keep downing that water. Aim for a gallon a day if you can. Otherwise a half. That really isn't that much if you measure it.

Hugs,
Bug

I hope this posts for all you whose computer has acrobat. I guess it doesn't. I contacted e-cig@e-cig.com kind of angrily about the list of ingredients they show listed. They emailed me back what looked like a bad job of cut and paste or using PhotoShop. But, it did say alot of the ingredients they listed were from the whole ecig, not just the cart. and how some of these things could affect us. I was surprised to see a lot of the symptoms/side effects we are having listed in their report and what to do. Just inhaling dust from the atomizer can cause side effects

Does anyone here know how I can post a .pdf document? Or change it into a different format to read?

MSDS e-cig.pdf

This is how it looked and I don't know if you can open it by clicking it. I will try to send it to one of you via email and see you can then. I'll check my friends list to see who has a via email message.

I think part of the reason ex-smokers cough when vaping is because of the moisture, it's like being in a steam room loosens things up.

Other than the somatization of hearing other people's problems and making them my own (don't have something to panic about make it up) I think my panic is part of the cigarette withdrawal.
I had two cigarettes this morning and have been smoking pipes mostly ever since - low-ish nicotine tobaccos for me.
I've had a couple of drags off the e-cigs here and there but nothing major and I'm still borderline needing a Xanax.
I think I'm going to have to wean myself down on the cigs instead of dropping them instantly.

Thanx Ladybug. I'm doing just that, as much water as I can. No bug (no punn intended) or chest cold. I feel great, just this crap coming up. I'll probably feel much better once I get it all out.

I'd like to see the pdf if you can get it linked. My daughter (Riddle80) is the whiz kid
on this stuff. (It pays to send your kids to school) I'll ask her too.

LB, if all else fails you can upload it to yousendit.com an folks can download it from the link :).

I was doing great till night before last. I usually vape only Marlboro, then when someone here on the forum was asking about smoke flavors I went on a bit of a tasting binge to tell them what I thought. I've got some Camel, Virginia, and 555 that I rarely use (actually it's my fiance's and moms but we share). Well, I was puffing away with 3 atomizers going at once trying to taste the differences. Didn't feel anything right away, but about an hour later I felt like crud! When I woke up the yesterday I had a sinus infection type deal and bad sore throat. Then last night things got bad. Couldn't sleep worth a lick and throat was sore and swollen, had stiff neck, chest was tight, etc. I still feel like crud. Don't know if I've caught something or if I had some kind of reaction to one of the flavors.

This time of year ya never know. Here it's warm one day and freezing the next, so I wouldn't be surprised if I'm just sick. I'm going to stick to the Marlboro from now on though cause it seems every time I try something different something weird happens.

Welp, I do see the issue :) Too big for the forum, didn't realize there was a size limit. Hope this helps :)

Sometimes it does help to have a website :p

Well, I don't really know what I'm looking at...It just looks like a study done on the electronic Cigarette Battery & Cartridge(?). Although I think they mean Atomizer, because i'm sure there is more than 6% plastic in the cartridge...unless i'm reading the thing wrong...

Well, seems I've come up with a case of bronchitis. I'm losing my voice, my throat/chest area feels like it's on fire, and I keep trying to cough but it hurts like a dickens each time I do. It feels like my lungs are full of crud.. bleh. I've had to put down my e-cig till this gets better because it seems to be agitating it. Luckily, my future mother in law sent me a sample pack of Nicorette a while back so I'm using it :D. I haven't had bronchitis in years, and even when I did it wasn't this intense. Does anyone know if the PG could have something to do with it?

I'm missing my e-cig already :(. Hopefully I'll be back up to par before too long. Sorry to complain. I hate being sick!

Hi,
Not sure about this, because I sometimes wonder if every little thing that we notice is different since vaping, we attribute to the habit. Over the past few days, I have been noticing a little sharp pain in one of my toes when out walking etc. It hasn't been bothering me too much and I have just assumed it was a split nail digging in or something. Yesterday, I finally investigated and found a toe that is red, hot and swollen and not near the nail at all. This morning, I see that another toe on the other foot is similar. I am not at all grotty and shower every day and have decent feet. At home, even though it is now winter, I wear flip-flops, so my feet do get plenty of air and are not cooped up in layers of socks etc. Not sure what to do about this - wait til my toes drop off, lol? Am I finally going nuts? Anyone else had anything like it???

Sounds like gout to me.

I've consistently advised here to not put all faith in e-smoking. Obtain every single nicotine replacement product you can find! And keep them on hand. Patch, gum, inhaler, lozenges, spray, snus, nasal snuff, dissolvables.

Anything from an illness to a quick ban ala Australia will be manageable only if you have alternatives. Otherwise, real cigarettes become attractive again.

Use the gum and maybe a patch, Riddle80. And get well soon. Hey, it's winter, officially The Season of Sickness.

Hello all, been lurking around quite a bit - very good discussions going on here!
Well, I started vapin' around 2 weeks ago (only a few analogs mixed in) and I've had some weird side effects that are similar but not quite the same as I've seen here...
Foggy thinking; it's hard to describe, kind of like confusion and I find it difficult to focus. I don't feel quite 'right', I'm hoping that this doesn't slowly give people brain damage!(like glue/gasoline sniffers!) Anyone else feeling something like this?

More energy/ increased wakefulness; I am sleeping way less than I used to and am not tired during the day as I used to be. This is pretty good, but I'm wondering - is there something in the liquid that gives an amphetamine type of effect? Anyone else experiencing this?

[I'm using cash liquid and *gnome bottle* low nic]

I've experienced the foggy thinking. More so than usual lol. I'm a freakin math whiz and the simplest equations are making me feel really stupid.
I'm hoping that gets better.

I just had a weird thought. If PG is a humectant and causes drying, and we inhale it, could it be possible it dries our lungs out? And if so, what adverse reactions could this cause?

Maybe it doesn't work like that at all but it was something that crossed my mind so was wondering what others thought.

I don't know if these are related to vaping or not, some surely are so it's probably worth listing them.

Sleeplessness, getting a maximum of 5 hours sleep at a time, although sometimes I'm feeling extremely drowsy after meals. Very, very vivid dreams, similar to the ones I had when I used patches at various times, these are fantastic. Sore/sensitive teeth, this one comes and goes, has subsided lately. Drooling on my pillow, LOL it's not a good image arrrrr. If I get pins and needles it tends to take longer to dissipate. Bursts of energy, this one has started in the last few days. I also have a fear of nitewriter's avatar.

 Ha, very funny.

Sorry you're not well Riddle. I had an infection or something recently and couldn't vape anything with harsh additives. Smooth Freesmoke eliquid was fine so I was able to get nicotine and pure glycerine and proplyene glycol were fine. Everything else was making me wheeze and cough.

About the sleeplessness. I think I read that nicotine is a stimulant and can make it difficult to sleep. I get disturbed sleep when I have too much. There might be an issue with getting less than usual too, a reduction in nicotine levels could have physical effects. I guess there is a transition period where our bodies are trying to adjust to the different type of nicotine and different doses.

Yeah, sleeplessness for sure, trouble falling asleep, staying asleep and waking up too early. I also know what you mean about the bursts of energy Solution42, these two together got me thinking about the possible 'speedy' effects. At first I thought that giving up the tobacco was giving me more energy - but this seems like more than that...
I'm not sure if you were kidding Rainbow about the foggy thinking but seems to be the case with me - I usually feel sharp as a tack, now I'm kinda dull like a .. dull tack?
I'm hoping that a different kind of liquid would help? - I love these things and don't want to go back!!
