I was cleaning my iAtty at the office and one of the NR wires broke apart and i realized i ran out NR wire.

Looking around for some replacement, i found an old printer parallel port cable i was using years ago for an experiment (it was without the plastic sleeve and the metallic shield), there are a lot of little cables, i took apart the sleeve of one of them and i found out the wire is really good, i think it could contain some silver because it is very malleable, it is not that thin that the one that the iAtty came with, but it works perfect !

aluminium doent come in small diameters. How fat is your wire? And it has a big resistance so its not aluminium as I see it ariel

Hi Imeo,

I do not have a exact way to measure it, i checked entering it in a 0.5mm mechanical pencil, it enters without problem and has slack. I think it could be a 30 (0.255mm) or 31 (0.227mm) AWG wire.

The 28 AWG (0.321mm) specs of some of the commun parallel cables is including the foil (according to the info i have read).
