No need for hostility, folks here just trying to help.

I've got an original 4 Nine and it comes with a couple of tubes that screw together for different battery sizes. Are you sure you got all of them? If your mod is short you may be missing one, or have an incorrect one (for an 18650) attached.

It's in 18650 mode. The problem is only about 3 to 4 millimeters. I'm pretty much having the same issue as the guy in the video I posted on the previous page.

Good grief. With the way these stores are price [Moderated] you guys, why even go to these stores? Just buy online and save yourselves the hassle. You paid the price they asked. Period. It's not their fault for charging what they want to charge. It's an open, unregulated market. It's the purchasers fault for handing over their hard earned cash. Being mad a store after finding it cheaper online.... Do we need to ask Captain Hindsight to intervene?

From the hate on and bashing threads this forum loves to write about B&M's, here's a sure-fire solution: don't go to these stores. PERIOD. See? Problems solved.

So much hate.

Was at the mall this afternoon when my wife said "Hey, there's a vape kiosk". Wandered over and started looking. Juice looked like some cheap juice I saw at a local vape shop, nothing special. Saw an Aerotank Mini box and said "how much do you want for them?" to which he replied "20" and I said "Is it authentic" and he gave me one of those very slow one nods. Find it hard to believe a mall kiosk is going to sell an aerotank mini for $20. I looked at the packaging of their nautilus mini and saw that it had plastic tray rather than recycled cardboard which confirmed my suspicions. I nodded and walked away.

Not to get off the subject but did that kid in the video say he had a .05 ohm build??? On a VTC battery??? Isn't that like 274 watts at 74amps??? Is that like 1 vape every 10-15 min? What gives? I like the clouds too but I'm to scared to go below .2 ohms... They should call him "Danny Dangerously" lol... No seriously, how do you get that low?

I go to my local vape shop because its a great shop. Is their hardware overpriced? Yep, and I don't buy much hardware there. I do buy their store brand juice because its high quality and very reasonably priced. I was in one day the other week tasting juice and one of the guys said he wanted to show me something. I knew what was coming, the istick. I had no intention on buying it there as I feared the heavy price tag. Price tag was $50. So I thought, these folks have taken the time to answer my questions & provide good advice over the past month and thus I bought one. Could I have saved 10-15, maybe 20 bucks online? Yep, but I bought one from them and have no regrets. I hope the shop is around for a long time and thus I support them where I can.

(Un)fortunately I don't have a B&M store in my area, but I can defiantly sympathize. I could see some of the employees at a place like this either be a douche bag know-it-all or someone who doesn't know much or doesn't care so they just "yes sir" you to death until you buy something.
It's kind of a shame because if you have a good location, decent business sense, and reliable employees I feel like this would be the perfect time to have a vape store. There are so many potential new customers with all the anti-tobacco sediment and veteran vapors are always looking for the next big thing or just the opportunity to talk to other vapers.
Considering this plus the fact that vaping products have such a potentially huge profit margin, a place that did things the right way could make a killing in this market.

A few last tips: go into a store. Survey their products. If you've been posting on ECF for even a little while, you should be able to tell if they're waaay over-priced. If you have a smartphone, check online prices. If they're modestly priced a bit higher than the net but aren't goughing out an eye, decide if it's worth the price for the convenience of getting it then and there. If you're even remotely on the fence or question the price: DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY THERE. Go somewhere else. Don't rage over buyers remorse. You chose to pay for it.

Also, talk to the employees. As it seems so VERY often on this forum, they are inevitably either know it all dbags or completely inept. If you get that vibe, DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY THERE. You should be able to feel the vibe immediately. If for any reason you think you might be getting burned, DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY THERE.

Don't go into a store raging. Trust me, no matter who is right or wrong, going in anywhere and being a dbag in return.... well, who said two wrongs make a right? Will it make you feel better to yell and scream and demand justice? Get your money back? For their sake i hope you get either your money back or an exchange of equal value. Then you can leave happy and never come back. Trust me on this, both parties (you and the store) will be glad if you didn't come back.

I'd have to agree. I wouldn't dare buy hardware in an actual store, with the retail prices they have to charge just to stay in business. The only hardware I've ever bought in a store was a Kanger T3S, when I first got my first vv3 and just couldn't deal with the iClear 16's that came with it, and I knew $9 was too much for it, but I needed it right then, not in a week, so I paid it and was happy to have it. Otherwise, the only vape gear I'll buy in a store is ejuice, after I've spent a hour or so taking up space at their counter tasting juices -- but once I find some juice I like, I go find it online and pay a much more reasonable price.

Although, anyone who's reasonably close to Lawrenceville, GA, who likes Pipe Sauce/Steam Sauce, SteamCigs has it for the same price as online, and I think it must actually be better -- my Long Bottom Leaf certainly doesn't taste like lime or citrus, as some have complained who bought it online; it tastes like sweet pipe smoke and coffee.

4nine ranges from 11-25 on FT. 4nine by Infinite is about 40 online. So I probably would have passed on the 70 dollar one regardless.

It is up to you to be an educated consumer and then decide where to shop. B&M's fulfill the instant gratification and if their markup is fair to you then the purchase is fair. With that said I would politely take it back and seek a refund as you asked if it was from a specific maker and you later found out it was not and that should be grounds for a refund. How long ago was the purchase?

Either way good luck.

Hey, Rocketpunk, how's working at a shop going? Living the dream (for now that is)?

Has everyone forgotten there is always a price difference from b&m and online? Has everyone forgotten the reason why the price difference? If everyone has forgotten facts and reasons...please do research in owning a business, and the pros and cons of doing retail vs online and vice versa.

The argument here should not be about prices, but the lack of QC from the manufacturer and the store lack of QC for the products being sold.

About 28 hours ago. Still looks pretty much the same as it did the minute I got it except for a few scratches on the top cap from me constantly having to screw and unscrew attys on and off of it just to figure out ... was wrong with it. It's too short...plain and simple. I could just keep it and let it auto fire like a complete dumb ... and let it explode or catch something on fire and then sue the .... out of them. But yeah, tomorrow they are going to either give me a refund or replace it with a working mod of the same price value.

Stupid tapatalk, I can't cut and paste the way I can on my home computer.

But I will say, stores have zero control over QC of Chinese devices. Stores carry what consumers want. Clearo coils, clearos, clones, etc. Typically product choices are decided by the consumers. I can say with confidence that anything Kanger (in my experience) has been abysmal. People constantly complain about their QC but scream bloody murder if T3s coils aren't in stock. Stores only have so many options to choose from as far as distributors go. Don't blame stores when it comes to Chinese QC. (That being said, still love ya, ImThatGuy.) :)

It's not nearly as long as {MODERATED}. If it was it would work flawlessly :D

I know this is a poor way to show what the problem is but if you look at the actual mod tube height and look at all of the parts that fit inside the mod while stacked on an AW 18650, minus the very top rim that doesn't go into the mod but sits flush on the top of it maybe you can see that there is absolutely no room for any throw in the firing button. Instant auto fire.

Coils, clearos, and cartos, etc. can't be QC'd by the stores since those are sealed and disposables to begin with, but mods, like mechanicals for example, can be QCd at the store before it's sold to consumers. It's one way for the store to save themselves the trouble of complaints. One less trouble that could be eliminated.
